I agree that the lazer stripes still look good. See what I mean if you search Kristys 1972 Gran Torino 4 speed on you tube. This is a car I built for my 13 year old daughter.
Sorry for the crappy spelling and grammer on that last post, but I think yhou get the idea, collectors and perhaps some Saturday/Sunday drag strip runs is what the old muscle cars are for now. Some of them are actually daily drive-able, but anything with a racing hemi, even the old 413's, 426 wedge motors, GM 427 and FORD 427 SOHC, even some of the Ford 428/429 SCJ's are not exactly daily drivers, lots of HP and tons of torgue, a blast to drive (but no P/S really builds those "tractor muscles")
I say whatever car moves you, hell there are plenty of "Ricers" today that can keep up or even bow away some of the muscle cars of the past, I love the old muscle cars but other than collectors they're just not very practical anymore. On a cold, cold winter morning one of the big block behemoths must take a a couple of gallons of gaas just to warm the engine up...I warm up, and probably can't move the thing until the engine is warmed up. I warm upi my KIA's motor while I'm driving it.
"naw Ford sucks, chevy is where its at, noo chevy blows, go mopar" shut the hell up. Its American muscle. we all have one thing in common, we hate Ricers.
