1969 f100 418 stroker street slick burn out

Is there a reason why i see more people with a 408 stroker then a 418 stroker ?

Is it because of the fuel costs are higher or over heating ...?

I would like to put together a 418 but i need to know why people choose these combinations .

@Lotum4n No it just depends on the bore size 4.0" stroke with 4.08" bore = 418 4.0" x 4.0" = 408
