YEAHHHHH! BRAVO! I accidentally found this while looking for another cover of this song in a different genre (believe it or not). I paused when I heard this... I don't even want to hear what I was originally looking for! This is how you cover a song. This is a remake at it's FINEST! I'll listen to all of your covers now! :-)! Fantastic job... if this band plays in the USA be sure to let us know!
amazing song...ive listened to rock and classical all my life, never got into jazz. Since discovering these guys 7 years ago, they are by far my favorite. They seriously provide for me everything i need and want in music. Great piece...Tears for WHO
Wonderful stuff and wonderful band. This is what its about - taking a well known pop song and stretching it and bending it to create something quite spectacular. The drummer really cooks at the end and then drops down into an understated groove perfect for the end. Hey, everybody else is smoking as well!!! ...Jazz Plus...
How can a song make you evoke thousands of situations and perfectly fit with any feeling? Just take out the lyrics and let a sublime melody like this one flow to your very soul.
I love the performance. And the quality of the shooting and editing makes this maybe the best small-club performance video I've ever seen. (Not that I watch a lot, but nothing I've seen has edited multiple cameras.) Thanks!
They've encapsulated the pure nectar from the Tears for Fears original and made an honest, incandescent rendition of their own...oh my god, this is what covering a song is all about.
More emotive than any vocalist . . . harder hitting than any rock band. This is what music should be. An acoustic "jazz" 3-piece destroying your concept of music. These guys scat better remnants than anything you'll hear on the radio.
Less is more!

what's the drummer looking at?
gapthfc 2 months ago
@gapthfc he's looking at the inside of his eyelids as he focuses on improvising for the entire song

@gapthfc
Whatever the drummer is looking at, I don't think it can be seen without the aid of a pair of Positron Trans-Dimensional Goggles.
Those three are great, great storytellers.

The way they let each other take turns without stopping like other drum or bass solos, wow. Thank you for the excellent quality too.
