Marlowe I am hearing some of the solo section of Run For Cover, the live version on the Sanborn record (Wow that would be great to do) maybe thats a stretch. The legato run and the hammer ons but hey I guess its also the tone you have on this one reminded me. I am no way saying its a Miller line if you get my drift but perhaps inspired by Mr. Miller. Who knows, its funky.
i know that but that is the effect and recording "multitool" that he uses. read his profile and webpage. he describes ho he plays all his effects and records his bass.
Look at his profile..or on his website..he tells you what he uses and how he sets it up. Its a Pandora PX4D. It's an "Effects box" but has rhythms and such on it.
How do you do the double thumbing so quick?

Sure, i think we all have bits of Miller, Graham, Johnson, Pastorius...... in our playing.
And of course the tone is really very Miller'esqe

what tempo do you set your drumbeat at?
i'm going at 50 bpm right now in 4/4 and it's too slow for me
themanwhoplaysbass 3 years ago
This is about 68bpm. All you have to do is count the beats for one minute if you want to know BPM or for 15 seconds and multiply by 4.
tbcass 3 years ago
My bad it's about 60 BPM or 1 per second.
