looks amazing, but "max" is a stretch... try out the proper glsl shaders that this mod is based on, imo the bump mapping that can do looks much more impressive (at least on a x64+ texture pack)

I like the way shadows move throughout the day. It makes me want to build a mural sundial. But Minecraft isn't supposed to look like Skyrim. The game is just as fun at 16x16 as it would be with these shaders.

@Left4dead4miller 'ram memory' lol :P you should really buy some additional ram :) at least 4gb... but, This mod doesn't require that much ram... none of the minecraft mods do, except the ones that adjust the render distance. I Really think your fps is low because your graphics card isn't powerful enough... I'd recommend buying a new graphics card :)

I actually had this shader on a few days ago. I used it with an x256 texture pack and actually managed to get around 30fps with far render distance on. This is by far, not the best shader, or graphics.

@pengboy08 Majorly depends on your PC. Now Docm's PC is well Godlike. He was able to record while running these mods, which is amazing. I run optifine which gives you better FPS then regular minecraft, while the shaders mod takes a lot of power to run.

@omnignorance Different texture pack means, more lag. A 258x258 texture pack would cause a lot of frame rate drop.

Hey Doc, as you mentioned in your latest World Tour, sprinting on ice is rather slow. However, when you jump while sprinting, the distance that you jump is the same as on normal ground (i.e. on dirt or stone), so try jumping while sprinting over ice. You'd need to test this, but it seems faster atleast... :P
