  • the main problem with this test is the weight of the ABSless rider is pushed onto the training wheel and consequently rolls forward. which makes the comparison pointless.

The bike with abs looks good though.

  • this is bullshit for the spectators... why the hell would you lock the brakes on gravel on wet surfaces or anything like that... ffs get real...

  • nonABS is a little better on dry given the right rider, ABS is more consistent, especially on wet

  • Wow Bike's ride the owners no adays.

    Or should i say computers.

    WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PASSION

  • Good drivers in cars can brake better without abs getting in the way...not to mention bikes when what i said is 10x more accurate

  • ABS is good only on slippery surfaces. but on normal dry surfaces no ABS will brake i a much shorter distance

  • @worlddxb but abs makes panic stops more consistent

  • you can have ridden 100.000.000.000kms and be as good as valentino rossi, when you get surprised and have to react in nothing like a second, you WILL overbrake the front...

  • Does the ABS system prevent accidental stoppies as well?

  • Why can't the driver with ABS brake like a regular person, to see the real difference?

    I would never do that!

  • i like no abs..i drive a scooter..and...i know when its going to slide..i like to control the bike..not the bike me..;)

  • Wow! ABS makes that much of a difference!

  • @transparent101 this is a poor demonstration. The rider with training wheels purposely steers off in a direction causing the bike to spin. YES ABS does make alto of difference and is great for street bikes. But adds alot of weight to a bike for the Track, a traction control module proves much more useful. Also a more accurate demonstration would be to hold both bikes in a directly forward position. Not steering like an idiot.

  • ABSがないと挙動がこんなに乱れるのはホンダのオートバイだからですか?

  • @TheDeskfan

    それは、違います。

    ブレーキと同時にハンドルを左に切り、わざとスピンモーションに持っていったため、挙動が乱れているのです。

    けして、ホンダのオートバイが悪いわけではありません。

  • @fisher77777 なるほど

  • If ABS is an option; do it! You always have a safe feeling while riding, because you'll know when something might happen were you might squeeze the brake in the heat of the moment, you will not flip the bike, or fall down. It makes riding that more fun and relax!

  • Gallone112, you said it exactly right. That's exactly what happened to me today. Totalled the bike. I'm kicking myself for locking the rear tire, but envisioning yourself going through the rear window of that SUV will do something to your braking efficiency.

  • OR, how bout learning how to brake properly and not lock up the back wheel.

  • @daedalx yeah , but in a life or dead situation , like a sudeen stop of the truck in front of you at 80 km/h , you won`t be abble to brake so efficient like an ABS sistem. You will pull both brakes at maximum power and you will crash.4 sure

  • @daedalx Then still the ABS bike will be stopping quicker than the non-ABS bike. Purely because a computer calculates the condition of grip and more important the loss of grip much quicker than a human brain can do. There has been tests around that are more representative than this one where they didn't lock up the brakes. The professional racing-biker did manage to stop an ABS bike in 30% less distance compared to the non-ABS bike.

  • look how the non-abs is turning his front wheel if he didn't do that it wont get out of controle

  • @ikkel33 he is not turning the handle bars.. he is locking the front brake

  • a good rider dosnt need abs to help them stop. a good rider can master his bike and know what it can and cant do.

  • @FordsRule351

What a stupid comment that is lol

  • @MaccccGyver how is it stupid fucker? is ur little pea sized brain to small to comprehend what i said. i guess so. well fuck off.

  • @FordsRule351 LOL at that reply. You just starting to go through puberty or something?

  • @MaccccGyver lol and agreed!

  • @FordsRule351

A good rider also can't control the weather conditions, as well as the amount of sand , gravel, or salt in the road...

  • @FordsRule351

Even good riders can be tired and miss a detail. Did you ever meet someone that claimed being a bad rider? We all think we're the best before the accident.

My next bike will have ABS!

  • @FordsRule351 i'm sure you've never ride a bike in wet conditions...

  • partial test....... wtf

  • Can I have ABS put in to my 07 CBR 600rr

  • i like motorcycle with no ABS,give more control to motorcycle and short distance to stop..

  • Yeah, yeah!... all looks nice driving straight. On the curve Your ABS throws you off the road.

Other thing... the braking with ABS sends You much more far, so You drive over anyone on a zebra crossing, or in the back of a car!..

With no ABS You have a full control on the distance, not like the crazy guy on this movie.

Its a publicity film!.... sorry I find ABS not ready for bikes yet!

  • @mazbymoto

I had FZ6 '05 for 4 years, then I traded it for FZ1 ABS-equipped. From my experience if you are good enough to brake on the edge of wheel blocking then ABS keeps sleeping. As soon as you cross the threshold it starts saving your as*.

On the curve - If you are in the curve and suddenly need to brake so much that ABS would start working then you are probably screwed, no matter what brake system is installed on your bike.

  • Results from recent studies by the IIHS and HLDI compared crash rates for motorcycles equipped with optional ABS against the same models without the option. The rate of fatal crashes per 10,000 registered vehicle years was 28 percent lower for motorcycles equipped with optional ABS than for those same motorcycles without ABS. In crashes of all severities, the frequency at which collision claims were filed was 19 percent lower for the ABS models.

  • obviously to sell more abs bikes

  • He also locked the front breaks up.... this test kinda seems a little bios towards the bike with the big boy training wheels.

  • Why did the non abs rider steer away from the direction of travel when the rear locked up, exaggerating the slide?

  • @hornetobiker

Apparently, it wasn't meant to be TOO scientific, in favor of entertainment.

  • Where is the entertainment?

  • I'm guessing, the people watching may get some ;)

  • @hornetobiker look, the front wheel was locked, so it doesn't matter what he did after that, because if he hadn't had those "training wheels" he would have hit the dirt...

Wheter or not he was exagerating...i think it doesn't really matter.

  • @mamiferuD yes probably, but if you watch the moment he enters the dirt over and over again, it seems he leaned into it. I was able to pause it the moment the front tire reached the dirt and he already has the bike at a slight lean. And of course, breaking at any kind of lean is risky. No doubt ABS helps but none of these videos about them really show the real effect.
