  • That was pretty cool.

I wish it only took a minute and a half to bottle homebrew.

  • That music is maddening!

  • Hi, great vid! Was wondering... If I leave my fermented beer in a secondary fermentation bucket for around a month, will there still be enough yeast to carbonate the beer in its bottles?

    Thank!

  • I am not an expert, but in my experience, yes. The yeast doesn't actually die, but mostly goes dormant. I've let many batches (accidentally or deliberately) sit in secondary for over a month and had no trouble with my later bottle conditioning. Good luck!

  • I believe adding a small amount of sugar per bottle, or larger amount in second container will all contents "re-activate" the yeast producing carbonation after bottled.

  • All on the dishwasher....what an idea! Doesn't it leave residue in the bottles though? Great vid.

  • I don't use any detergent when I was them in the dish washer, so it's just hot water at something close to pasteurization temperature. That combined with the oxidizing sanitizer that I soak them in first makes them as close to sterile as I can get in a normal kitchen.

  • i like the music
