  • Absolutely fabulous!

All the Doctor's were unique & wonderful in their own ways, and Patrick was NO exception. No one can quite put a smile on my face like he :-D

  • Really sorry that I didn't respond: too busy looking at the yummy pictures above... ;)

I hope the vid makes you smile too.

  • Yes, it makes me smile like Tom Baker's Doctor =D

You did a brilliant job on the vid.

  • Oh, that was just lovely, and such a nice selection of shots to use with the perfect song. There'll never be another Pat Troughton, truly there won't.

  • Nope, there never will...

Wish more of his DW work had survived - but VERY grateful for what has ...

    :D

  • Patrick will always have a special place in my heart. Each regeneration brought something new and each touched me in their own way. I so loved Patrick. When I traveled with him in my mind, I felt his warmth, his charm, his compasion, his wisdom, his vulenrability and his joy. Of all the Doc's he was the one I would have most wanted to have as a father. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

  • Thank you and, you're welcome... :D

  • He defined Dr.Who didnt he ? ; the first one to bring the unique CHARACTER with all it's humour, idiosyncrasies and eccentricities to the Dr. which from then on would become essential to the role.Typifying the era of the swinging '60s with a recorder to play and Beatle style haircut. I remember the time fondly on a Saturday evening just before Dee Time with Simon Dee and Dixon of Dock Green ! Good times

  • Sadly, I was born AFTER Troughton had left the show, but going back many years ago, I found his Doctor 'does it' for me every time. He sums the character up completely. Not to mention he had some brilliant stories.

  • Well luckily i have a very clear memory about a few things going back to when i was 3 and a half and after i was 4 years old in Nov '66 i can vividly remember so much about my life then. I especially remember lots of tv programmes on at the time in 1967 e.g. Monkees (first time round) ; Girl From Uncle, lots of sitcoms of the time, Top of The Pops and dramas ; shame so much has been wiped of classic '60s tv by the BBC

  • The wiping was such a 'crime'. To destroy works or art... well, they wouldn't have done it if it was a painting!

  • Damn right ; well said

  • You know, you just made me cry; that song just says it all for me about Pat's stint as the Doctor.

  • Aww... I'm so sorry.... *hugs*

It's getting close to that time of year, when we celebrate the 25th (and sleep through the 28th, so we can pretend it never happened).

    :)

  • I know... but we live in hope.

I think a certain Mr Hines has some episodes hidden away because they have too many 'up-kilty' shots... lol

  • Lovely video tribute to a great Doctor:)

  • The best, isn't he... :D
