to be honest I really like seeing some of the new blood effects and action and stuff but I agree a little more stealth would be nice. kind of hard when you are playing with a timelimit on the show floor

yeah i thought haze might be goo, but turns out it sucks, but this game looks damn good, in terms of visuals and gameplay. i think the title that will make or break ps3 is killzone 2, because the graphics look amazing, it now has a cover system, and who knows it might actually be the halo killer, but halo is damn hard to top.
This game is going to be so hard that in the PSM magazine (in UK) stated that when in the middle east, one of the people playing it died about 90 times, and killed about 70 solders.
Now i havent played this MGS but i do know that there is usually to major shoot outs between the enemy. if this isnt one of them,OMG you noob! MGS is a stealth game. I can understand getting into some heaver fire mayber 2 or 3 times out of the entire game, i've been there but this is rediculous. With all the sneaking equipment and techniques it's sad to see that you have not only gotten into a shit load of fire but you have also began bleeding.
- MGS4 will be amazing, the best PS3 game, and very likely better then any 360 game.
- Xbox 360 however, does NOT suck, basically because the only game going for PS3 is MGS4 right now(FF can't bother me).
- MGS4 will NOT be on 360, or very likely PC. They need the blu-ray space. Multiple CD's is not an option, they are NOT going to spread this game on 10 cds(which would be the amount needed).

Yeah, Splinter Cell copied Metal Gear Solid, not the other way around. The 360 has good online, but not many great story-based games. MGS4 will have both. And technically, Snake is old and tired. But none of that will apply to the gameplay(i.e. he doesn't run slower or anything). So please, if you're just going to talk trash on this game, go the fuck away. No body wants you here.

yeah but PS3's not really up there with exclusives. it has very few. I have been a metal gear fan for years and this game would be the only reason id buy the overpriced PS3..
The price was taken down to the price of the 360, so that theory is out the window. The ps3 has a number of decent exclusives, Final Fantasy is still an exclusive, Metal Gear, Tekken.

I know that this WILL be the best PS3 game ever. But it is sad that they go away so far from the original metal gear solid concept. Yeah I played the ps3 and in my opinion its slow accessing internet, it has the same menu screen as a psp, colouring in games is terrible, but i wud still agree to keep MGS4 on the ps3 becuz even tho i like xbox 360 and wii I still think that it shud stay a sony game even tho i cant play it on my consoles, so yeh i might not like ps3 but that dosnt make me angry at playin other games.

Yeah, Splinter Cell copied Metal Gear Solid, not the other way around. The 360 has good online, but not many great story-based games. MGS4 will have both. And technically, Snake is old and tired. But none of that will apply to the gameplay(i.e. he doesn't run slower or anything). So please, if you're just going to talk trash on this game, go the fuck away. No body wants you here.

The price was taken down to the price of the 360, so that theory is out the window. The ps3 has a number of decent exclusives, Final Fantasy is still an exclusive, Metal Gear, Tekken.

I know that this WILL be the best PS3 game ever. But it is sad that they go away so far from the original metal gear solid concept. They went from "original" to "mainstream", and that's what dissapoints me about the whole game. But I don't blame kojima. I blame the other two directors. But I guess people that jumped in half time during the series will not understand..

I dont mind the splinter cell-like shooting, i just hope they stick to the traditional control line out; triangle=action button, square=shoot, x=crouch/roll, O=hand combat. MGS shouldnt feel like an FPS or a 3rd person shooter.

Yes. Because Snake is a clone (from Big Boss) his cells age much faster than that of a normal person, that's why he looks so old. That was also the reason Solidus looked so old in MGS 2.

you can play all the good games sitting down actually, and the wii is just fun. i like good ggraphics alright, thats why i am getting a ps3. but metroid prime 3 is more then enough to tide me over. plus i got all sorts of old school gmaes on there.i think the true true test in a game is measured by the fact that people still play it even though it's old. jsut think when ps10 or xxx box comes out, i'll still be playing contra, for NES and loving it.

PS3- the graphics were great, and the gameplay is terrific
360- the only reason i got this system was gears of war! but once i got it i decided to explore the gaming world and noticed that call of duty is probably the best game online.
in my experiments i noticed that they are both equal! so QUIT FUCKING ARGUING ABOUT THE SYSTEMS!!!

just let me tell you, the guy who is playing the demo sucks so the gameplay appears to be borring for some (those who are not real MSG fans) the FUN in this game is stealth and how you perform it, also its one of the best stories in gaming, the way is told everything.
you can never get bored with games like this.

Hideo gave an interview to a magazine, a japanese magazine dedicated to gaming, he says that playstation is the only platform he had so as 2 and now 3, so he is a ps3 fan or better said a ps fan, so, he doesnt want this game for another platform, Konami, instead, is being a pain in Hideo´s ass, cause he is the owner of most of this saga rights,so he is the only one who can decide if its going on 360 or not
