i think shin only liked noe because shin didnt have a chance with hiromi, since he thought she was his sister, but when they found out that they werent, things changed and the regular feelings came back, but he kinda felt bad for leaving noe alone...

I'll be honest the only reason i kept watching the anime is because of Noe, i hated the ending =/ why couldn't the writter make Noe cry with tears of joy? and i skipped the end episode after the part in the bus stop cos i honestly hate Hiromi =/ so much reasons to hate her...

By coincidence or what they call it, Shin'Ichiro happened to meet Noe, who gave up her tears and wanted someone (and by mere coincidence happened to be Shin'Ichiro) who is close to her to give tears to her, and they got along. A girl named Ai has also likes Shin'Ichiro the lucky guy, who happened to be his childhood friend. Worth watchin

What I can gather from your comments there were more than one girl the guy could possibly be together with and in the end he could only pick one. You think that's wrong? If there'd been only one girl he could have ended up with, wouldn't it have been a little too predictable?

@aryllia They pretty much spent the entire anime characterizing one girl so the audience would get to know and love her, and then ended it with the protagonist getting with a minor character that frankly nobody liked in the first place. Watch it if you want I don't care, its a very good anime with what some would call an unnatural ending that was forced to be a "surprising twist".

@zheymour But Noe did win. So she didn't get Shin, so she had him taken away by Hiromi, big deal. In the end, she was the only one who could truly "fly". She was the only one able to look at the situation and realize, it wasn't just about her happiness. She was able to forgive, to let go and move on. Shin wasn't able to do that. On one hand he had innocent and truthful Noe, on the other the selfish Hiromi, who he thought he loved. The fact that he chose Hiromi, proves he wasn't worthy of Noe.

@whoo689 The point of this anime is to have Noe regain her lost tears. Love is what makes people most happiest, and when that love is lost, a broken heart can make anyone cry. They had Shin'Ichiro pair up with Hiromi, and Noe as a result regained her tears as shown in the final scene. Thus the title True Tears.
