Haven't played Donkey Kong Country Returns, but is DKCR harder or easier than DKC and DKC 2?
Because DKC 2 gave me some trouble, believe me..that shit was hard. I finally managed to get all the DK coins and 102% it, but it took a lot of effort. 'Twas very, very, fun though.
DKC was also quite challenging and I got around getting full 101% on that, as well.
But is DKC R harder than those two? Because people have been saying that Returns is tremendously challenging.
@KaiserdeEmperana I'd be kind of surprised if Donkey Kong got TWO new characters in the next installment. Super Mario Bros. didn't get any new chars in Brawl. In fact, they LOST a character in Dr. Mario.
@CirqueDuFreak2000 Actually, no, I didn't. It was the Warioware Wario they added, not the one based on his Super Mario Bros/Wario World. incarnation. As far as I'm concerned Wario is representing the Warioware series, which I hold completely separate from the Mario series. That's why he has a different emblem. The gameplay is in a genre of it's own, it takes place in an alternate universe, etc.
It's an independent series like Donkey Kong or Yoshi's Island.

It's only classical Mario that is represented. Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach. The cast of the first SMB game. Someone who doesn't play the series but is a major brawl player probably gets the impression that Mario hasn't changed since then.
Notably, the RPG series are not represented at all.

Yes, there's a ton of other good characters, but it's meant to be a Nintendo fighting game, so the focus should be on getting the most important characters from as many franchises as possible, rather than a ton of characters from a smaller selection of franchises.
@CirqueDuFreak2000 Don't they already have there bases covered in that regard, though? I can't think of many major or minor franchises that have no representation. The few that do come to mind don't really have anything to offer character-wise. I don't want them getting into really obscure franchises like Chosoju Mecha MG or Magical Starsign. A minor character like Fawful is more of a mascot than the most important characters from such franchises.

What's even more odd is I have the soundtrack and this song isn't on it, so that's why I need the name so I can find it.

@scottw182 But in this program , you can download in the High Quality (1080p). I always do download videos from this program and to download I look the quality of video original on youtube. If are 240p dont download because the audio its bad.

@scottw182 This is a bit late, but you can get the sound test on your copy of donkey kong country 2 by pressing down five times when you highlight Two Player Contest. It has a list of all the songs on there and IIRC this song is called "Rool" or "K. Rool" in the sound test.
Hey guys, Nintendo owns every DK Character. Just erveryone of them. If they wouldn't they couldn't use Rambo or Diddy Kong, even Crancky in DKCR. They couldn't use Funky as a playable chrakter in Mario kart Wii and no one of them would appear as a trophy in Brawl.
And Nintendo would not be allowed to release DKC 1-3 on the VC.

@LilPoop444 What the subtitle really meant was "Diddy's Conquest" but they print it with a twist making you think they mispelled it. Diddy's goal in the game was to rescue Donkey Kong (meaning he's on a quest) but his conquest was to complete each and every level by collecting all the DK coins (meaning it's a conquest), which is why the rankings (with Mario, Link, Yoshi, and Sonic's shoes) was shown at the end.
@HiperJ10 It's a twisting subtitle, it applies to both storylines and gameplay. If you're Diddy Kong then you're on a quest to rescue DK, if you're just playing the game to beat it then you're on a Kong Quest a.k.a. conquest (find all DK Coins) which the subtitle kinda refers to.
Beat most of'em, well 1,2, and 3 but dk 64 took me some time before getting through that journey lol. Dk 2 does have some of the best music of the series though.
I loved DKC Returns but if Nintendo are gonna do a sequel, please bring back K.Rool since he's the Bowser of the series along with the classic Baddies and Kremlings. Oh and bring back Dixie, Funky, Wrinkly (even though she's still a ghost), and Swanky, Squitter, and Enguarde (thanks for bringing back Rambi and Squawks, though).

I remember the first time I made K. rool explode by tossing the cannonball back into his gun when he tried to suck me up and he exploded. I was laughing for about 5 minutes. He was one of those classic boss fights, with definitely an epic tune to go with him. Found it strange he continually played dead though, but i wasn't complaining, I got diddy or dixie back incase I failed on dodging a spike ball or miss-throwing and getting whacked out the window with the rear end of his gun. lol
Have anyone noticed how screwed up things were with the K. rool? KAPTAIN .k rool was fought in a castle while KING k rool was fought on a ship. Anyone caught that besides me?
Dang this game is super hard. Even though I was able to beat it at about age 12 with only maybe around 65 to 70 hours. I didnt bother to get any secrets or anything... but still. Pretty quick in my eyes. My older brother was the best at it though. He's 20 now and is living in Colorado. And im all the way in UAE.
This has got to be the best final boss battle music. It really sums up the journey leading to the final confrontation with Captain K. Rool. It's like everything has lead you to this point and it's all on the line. I love it.
@XKnightWarxa In the japanese version, they're separate people. The reason the brawl trophy said they were brothers was because they were directly translating it.
@mrserjmalakian They might be considered different ein Japan, but K.Rool wasn't created in Japan. He was created in England by Rareware who portrayed King K.Rool, Kaptain K.Rool, and Baron K.Roolenstein as the same croc in different costumes, meaning that the whole ''same guy in different disguises'' is the original intention.
17 years have passed for this series and still going strong.

@H3ctor1000 u know i played the DKCR......i like it but it just makes me wish i was playing the original ones(i still own them hehe). They were fun and the soundtrack still plays in my head sometimes.

I remember the first time I made K. rool explode by tossing the cannonball back into his gun when he tried to suck me up and he exploded. I was laughing for about 5 minutes. He was one of those classic boss fights, with definitely an epic tune to go with him. Found it strange he continually played dead though, but i wasn't complaining, I got diddy or dixie back incase I failed on dodging a spike ball or miss-throwing and getting whacked out the window with the rear end of his gun. lol

Dang this game is super hard. Even though I was able to beat it at about age 12 with only maybe around 65 to 70 hours. I didnt bother to get any secrets or anything... but still. Pretty quick in my eyes. My older brother was the best at it though. He's 20 now and is living in Colorado. And im all the way in UAE.

This has got to be the best final boss battle music. It really sums up the journey leading to the final confrontation with Captain K. Rool. It's like everything has lead you to this point and it's all on the line. I love it.

@XKnightWarxa In the japanese version, they're separate people. The reason the brawl trophy said they were brothers was because they were directly translating it.

@mrserjmalakian They might be considered different ein Japan, but K.Rool wasn't created in Japan. He was created in England by Rareware who portrayed King K.Rool, Kaptain K.Rool, and Baron K.Roolenstein as the same croc in different costumes, meaning that the whole ''same guy in different disguises'' is the original intention.
