  • something went wrong, it's unstable sometimes when going forward ;)

  • can you give the instalation instruction

  • @guitarrlesson2011 : See the web link in the video description, all instructions are there.

  • @guitarrlesson2011

go to this site and scroll down for everything u need on this robot:

  • it works ass

  • it keeps falling, what am i doing wrong. i am missing a few parts but they are shipping from denmark. so they will be hear sometime next year

  • @Blabby856 : Getting it to balance is a bit tricky, but all the hints I know are explained on the web site instructions. Read these carefully. In particular, it cannot figure out on its own which way is up, so it needs to be perfectly balanced at the start (4th beep).

  • it wont work for me it will go back an forward than it will fall

  • i made that with my 2.0 i got it to work by the way your awsome

  • it is a game of jeopardy for it to balance

  • I'm gonna make that tommorow :-)

  • I got it to work!

  • it just starts, and it zigzags!

  • sorry! I ment I can not get it to work

  • @mindstorms0133 : It is tricky to get it started, see the instructions on the website for that and other tips. Use the 1.0 version of the Segway, and choose the program download that matches your software version.

  • @nxtprograms ok,I got it to work

  • how do you make it work!!!!!! I have the ediucason set and i can get it to work

  • Segway Pimpin!

  • do you think I can make this with nxt 1.0?

  • @TheDilbertTV : There is an NXT 1.0 version on the nxtprograms web site as well.

  • @nxtprograms but which one of the three files that I downloaded is it? cause i have nxt 1.0 with light sensor, NOT rgb sensor.

  • @TheDilbertTV : From the 1.0 version of the Segway project (not the 2.0 building instructions version), you want the program that is labelled for NXT 1.X, and the program will be called "Segway.rbt" once unzipped.

  • @nxtprograms oh I found it now, thank you very much for your help.

  • I have NXT 2 from not much time and time ago I built it. Now I have also the NXT 1 and I'm trying to do a bluethoot connection. So I watched the programs for the rc version:

-in the remote there are logic send message blocks for go forward and backward

-in the segway there's a logic switch that response to bluethoot.

-there aren't any reiceve message blocks

Is this a correct procedure for make a remote? WhatI have to do if I want make a remote for other veichles? Send text?(and no switch?)Thanks

  • @egolegoque : There are other BT remote programs you can look at on the site, for example the Dial Remote Control for NXT 1 or the 5 Button Remote for NXT 2.

  • yes, but will it drive itself off of a cliff?

  • I used it exactly as built and with the posted program. It is tricky to get it to start right, make sure you carefully read the directions in the programming section. The most common problem is not having it perfectly balanced at the 3rd starting beep, next common problem is irregular light shining on the surface from lights or windows.

  • Nice video ;)

We built it to, but it doesn´t work. So we tried, but we didn´t find the fault.

    Maybe you can help us.

    For example

is it more useful to build it like you build it?

and did you use the PID-Conrol?

We realy want to finisch this project, but since 5 weeks we are at the same point...

  • @11milum you mane finish.

  • just make another robot to give it a perfect start

  • or can you just specify the motor that is controlled remotely in the SEGWAYBT app.. motor A ,B or C please?

  • @tournevis4ever: All the details are in the downloadable programs and instructions on the web site.

  • COOL!

  • can you make it turn??

  • Cool its funny i have this Segway just finished building

but what is the difference between Segway and SegwayBT?

My opinion is better segway BT!

  • how would you be able to make it turn?

  • do me a favor plz and add project for just the nxt education on your site. i cant afford $80 for a tiny little kit

  • Cool.

  • I built something similar for my college Design and Society class, but unfortunately we didn't have the time to get the program set up. It was great fun building it, though!

  • verarschen? das get nich

  • is there a program for the remote control for iphon/ipod touch?

  • 99,000th viewer >:D

  • Can you hook up a ps3 controller to it?

  • paul blart lego version

  • How does it work?

  • I feel like this should be cruising around the death star.

  • this is the most stable one i have ever seen programed with nxt-g

  • It doesn´t works. WHY!!!

    Can you please answere me.

-Does I need a white ground???

  • @skatemonkey16. It can be a bit of a challenge to get it to work. It is picky about the conditions. Make sure you read and understand all of the instructions in the Programming section of the web page. #1 reason is usually not being balanced at the start. #2 reason is normally light shadows changing when you move your hands away from it. The surface needs to be a consistent color, not necessarily white.

  • @nxtprograms Thank you very much.

  • @nxtprograms hey dude mine doesnt work too but it's because the light on the color sensor isnt on do u know why?

  • @skatemonkey16 someone needs to go to grammar school

  • Can you use the nxt bluetooth remote program on a computer to control the 3'rd tilt motor? In other words, can a bluetooth remote signal over write a running program and still let it continue to run?

  • In general yes, a BT remote can operate at the same time as an NXT program. Accuracy of control may be tricky, but give it a try.

  • my friend built the one without the leaning rider.

  • Can i use this program in other design?

  • Comment removed

  • IS IT WORK WITH A CELLPHONE?

  • No, not unless you have a program for your phone that can send the NXT-formatted Bluetooth messages.

  • is there an app for the iphone to control it

  • @nxtprograms how can you get this program on your phone?

  • @nxtprograms and what are these messages , can you share with us their functions? thank you

  • i built the nxt 1 version a few days ago and still have not had any success in making it balance :( whats wrong with it!?!?

  • Make sure you read and follow all the directions in the programming section of the instructions. The #1 thing is probably making sure it is perfectly balanced to begin with at the 4th beep sound. Then also control stray light, etc.

  • Can it cope with uneven surfaces?

  • No, that affects what the light sensor sees and screws up the balance.

  • nice work.

i didn't expect that an optical sensor can work like a gyroscope.

  • yay it works i downloaded it. i think it just was a small fail in the system

  • help! my brick do not have enough memory even if i delete all in the nxt window. can someone help me here.

  • thank you so much for posting a NXT 1.0 version!

  • @OO7ACEMASTER

ya that is realy usefull to all of us out here that have an nxt 1.0 but dont want to buy a new one

  • That's some clever programming. Must have taken hundreds of lines of code .

  • It gets worse once a human rider tries out an actual one...

The center of mass will get shifted up...

  • thats what they said when the first segway came out. So???

  • True. Got mislead by this model...

  • But it's fun to try! I remember we had lots of fun at Danfoss Universe!

  • well isnt dat cute, until it transforms into a giant robot and kill us all. (GUY SCARED OF ROBOTS) unless their in a toon'.

  • good work !!! realy cool :-)

  • ET on a segway :)

  • LOL

  • Very very cool.

  • Super cool stuff. Can it learn to stand on a slope? Can it learn to move forward at a given average pace?

  • hey you gift me a robot lol

  • cool

  • COOL

  • Accelerometers anyone ??

  • I love it. congrats on being on the home page too.

  • finally something us Danish people can be proud of... !

  • i looked at the instructions and the parts needed are also in the NXT 1.0 kit the wheels will be different tho. but the bug question is will this program work with the light sensor or could u upload a new 1 with it instead becasue u say the color sensor in light mode i think it may be possible. ive been a huge fan of ur website and admire the effort and time u put into it too!

  • The program will have to be re-created in the 1.0 software, but otherwise it should work with the 1.0 light sensor and parts I think. I will try at some point, feel free to try yourself first.

  • I built it and had it running smooth...

But as Dave said, you need to have the model balanced perfectly, otherwise it will fail....

    (human error?)

    Looks: 5/5

    Function: 4/5

    ease of build: 5/5

    Martyn

  • to me it works without the rider it doesnt with it.

  • BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very cool

  • dont let him go to far forward or the handle bar base will hit the orange button! it will fall over because that stops the program lol!

  • COOL!!!! This was so fun to make! You are awesome!

  • Very cool! i've been waiting for you to make one like this! thanks !!

  • could you make seqway for nxt 1.0 i dont care about rider though

  • I SAW UR FACE!!! YESSSS!!!

  • it was that important to you?

  • a duh....

  • well obviously i knew that, i was badly implying why is it so important?
