I use touch-pad to play FPS. So, I think it is possible to do the same with touch-screen. What you need it to increase the sensitivity and "roll your finger" for aiming.

As a benchmark, I played CS-ConditionZero on a touch-pad alone, on Hard difficulty until the last 3 level, where the AI can shoot faster than I can point.
