This video is the biggest problem with Youtube. Anyone can take a video, edit it however they like to suit their purposes, and upload it.
As quite a few comments before mine have pointed it, this isn't the full video. The only way to overcome your fear is to face it. It's the same with animals. Trainers all over (zoo employees, or just regular old dog trainers) do this same exact thing. In the full video you see the bear get over it's fears. But, this person just wanted to cause a stir.
This just this. If it was animal cruelty wouldn't the other animals be acting out the same as the bear cub? They're just socializing the bear, so it will freak less if it's around the other animals, hopefully stunt the 'I want to eat you, because you are food' instinct and keep the animal calmer when they most likely have to go near eachother for some reasons or another.

Hishika and bsharp03 are right. The bear cub is abandoned by mother, so he was transferred to special section of the zoo where all the abandoned babies stay together until they mature enough. The bear cub was really shy and jumpy, but a couple of months later he becomes stronger and more confident he actually beats up the lion cubs and steals their food... Well I hope there would be no more idiots who calls this cruelty.

Well, I just saw this clip on a japanese show and the cub is an orphan(?) and he's a major coward. So in attempts to train him the keeper is letting him interact with other animals, but as you can see he's even afraid of a monkeys shadow...
It's not shown in this clip but he freaks out at his watering hole, and also when put on a branch not more than a foot off the ground. he's a little scaredy bear.
It's scared of everything, even little monkeys. I know I'm going against the grain but is it that big of a deal? My cat was terrified of my dog when I first got it but I made them socialize while making sure they didn't hurt each other in their fright. Now they're curled up together on the couch next to me.

They're just socializing the bear, so it will freak less if it's around the other animals, hopefully stunt the 'I want to eat you, because you are food' instinct and keep the animal calmer when they most likely have to go near eachother for some reasons or another.

Hishika and bsharp03 are right. The bear cub is abandoned by mother, so he was transferred to special section of the zoo where all the abandoned babies stay together until they mature enough. The bear cub was really shy and jumpy, but a couple of months later he becomes stronger and more confident he actually beats up the lion cubs and steals their food... Well I hope there would be no more idiots who calls this cruelty.

Well, I just saw this clip on a japanese show and the cub is an orphan(?) and he's a major coward. So in attempts to train him the keeper is letting him interact with other animals, but as you can see he's even afraid of a monkeys shadow...
It's not shown in this clip but he freaks out at his watering hole, and also when put on a branch not more than a foot off the ground. he's a little scaredy bear.

@XTPimplik Of course the intent matters. Certain actions are more acceptable than others based solely on intent. If this video was made with the sole intent of putting the bear through a hellish experience, then yes, this video seems all the more reprehensible.
If, instead, this video was made with the intent of having the bear make friends (which it was), and then if the people involved admitted (with remorse, mind you) that the bear wasn't ready, then it's more forgivable.

If you understood the Korean in this video, you'd realize this clip comes from a humor-based variety show - the intent behind bringing the bear to visit different animals isn't meant to be malicious at all, and they treat the bear with an "aww, cute! are you alright?" attitude.
If you listen, they clearly recognize that the bear is scared, and the employee does say the bear needs more training and time before it can hang out with the other species without being spooked.

I don't understand what they say but what I see is absolutely not animal cruelity. This place must be a special part of the zoo, the "animal kindergarden" which is present in many larges zoos. Lonely animal orphans can be kept and trained here together. The bear of course was frightened but most animals start like him when arrives here as they experience many new things here for example the presence and different behaivour of other species' cubs. He will be OK becoming familiar with the others.

Animal caretaker was trying to make the cub more used to it being around other animals. Video taken a month after shows the bear playing with both lion cubs and monkey without being timid. So goddamn PC and judgmental you all are without knowing the full story.
