  • @babylouiesnina It is basically a hear rate monitor. You can buy one at a local sporting goods store or at Polar online. CHeck for the Polar FT60

  • @TheFunkT It is a heart rate monitor. You enter in your height and weight and based on your heart rate it gives you an approximate estimate of how many calories you burned.

  • Hi Sarah! I've been doing this workout for the past two months three times a week and I've lost 6kg! Instead of running I used a skipping rope and I have so much more energy and my legs are rock hard! I would really love it if you could possibly post another 500 calorie workout similar to this just so I can change things up! Your videos are awesome and they have really helped me lose weight!

  • @Daney8825 Are you a snacker? Cut up fruit and veggies and put them in serving-size containers so they're as easy to grab as a bag of chips and always keep water on hand. Having water and healthy snacks constantly available makes it much easier to eat healthy, and the healthier you eat the better these workouts will work!

  • Sara I have a question. I have a calory counter watch and every time I finish a workout it show i've burn around 200 cal. But after I'm hour it shows i've burned around 900. Is that pissible or is it wrong? My heart rate is at 80% during the workout and through the day is around 48-60%

  • Hey Sarah this workout seems really great :D But also I was going to ask you about this cardio workout I have been doing recently. Twice a week at the gym I use the rowing machine for 20 minutes, the tredmil for 20 minutes, the cross trainer for 20 minutes and the exercise bike for 10 minutes. It roughly burns 700 calories, then twice a week I also do strength training. Does this sound like a good exercise routine? I've lost around 4-5 pounds.

  • Hi sarah! I was excited to do this workout! I did it today(5/27/2011) and I got my mom and 3 of my sisters to do it with me! It took us 53mins to do the whole thing 3x! I burned between 450-500 calories!

  • I did it!! In a little more that 45 min. I walked for 1 circuit. I can honestly say I didn't think it was going to that hard but it kicked my buttt!! My glutes are already feelin in it and it's not even the next day!! Good stuff I like it.

  • I live in Texas, and it is currently 100 degrees outside. This makes it difficult to workout outside. I'm going to wake up extra early tomorrow to try and do it before it gets too hot.

  • @abeatifulsun I wore my Polar FT60 Heart Rate monitor - obviously there is a margin of error but I check my heart rate throughout to see if it seems accurate and for this workout it appeared right on target most of the time

  • Isn't it impossible to count calories you've burnt. Forgive me if I'm wrong but don't people, have different metabolisms, eat different foods and vary in weight?

  • @MikamiPro Wearing a device like a heart rate monitor allows you to track your heart rate which shows you how hard your body is working which in turn estimates how many calories you are burning. I'm wearing a Polar FT60. The contestants on the biggest losers wear the bodybugg and when at weigh ins when they looked shocked they didn't lose weight usually it's because the output info between the bug & the scale don't measure up, so obviously there is a discrepancy between your body & science

  • I like the concept of this video - a '500 calorie workout'. Id love to see more of these types of videos. I find it must more motivating to workout knowing how many calories my workout will burn, rather knowing how long my workout was.

  • @MMGuarino87 LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I have running and training ones and have never loved a running sneaker this much. I have flat feet and am prone to shin splints. I don't run farther than 6-7 miles though. I've heard they may not be ideal for real long distance.

  • Today I did hiking on-off for the good part of the day. I started hiking at roughly 9AM through 1PM. I am so proud of myself! Sarah, I love your channel, but I am a full-time student at high school. I would really love to tone up my arms for Summer. I have a skipping rope, resistance bands and some free weights, as well as some other eqpt.

  • @CheerUp2 you have to burn 3500 to lose 1 lb. Speed up weight loss by reducing calories and working out! The calorie estimate is for a 140 woman.

  • @CheerUp2 I think you have to burn 3 500 calories to lose a pound...

  • @CheerUp2 There are 3500 in a pound of fat, so 500 is 1/7 of a pound :) Hope that helps :)
