Hell, I'd even chuck Rick Astley in there - he sounds "blacker" than most mainstream black singers today, and he's as white as they come! In today's music environment it seems that if you're black, you're automatically R&B, regardless of how far your style of music is removed from actual Rhythm & Blues.
