  • Where was his D5 and E5??

  • His low notes are not very convincing.

  • The C5 he hits in A Little Too Not Over You sounds like chest on the recording but does sound mixed here. I think his voice has just gotten deeper since his first album days.

  • His voice is very beautiful. He always sounds so relaxed when he sings.

  • Swwet falsettos! I didn't know they could be bitter :O

  • this intro at the beginning...is it a part of some of his song or?

  • Comment removed

  • the 5's high note sounds like head voice..

  • Archuleta is definitely a baritenor. C5 and anything higher sounds mixed - not hit with full voice.

  • @slxdragon naw his voice is actually that high some guys voices stop changing at a certain point. A friend of mine is a very high tenor and his voice stopped changing at the age of 14. His tambre hasn't change much either lol but we love him anyway and he sounds gorgeous :)

  • al final no canta con registro silbido, simplemente silba

  • Whistling with the lips is not considered a singing register :/

  • all I can say is WOW..

  • what's in 2:50

  • @willeaster12 he is actually whistling, not whistle notes XD

  • LOOK at his mouth during that "whistle" he note doing it with his voice he really whistling with mouth sounds

  • he can belt a C#5....wooohhh

  • In that Bb5 he was whistling, not singing in falsetto or head or whistle voice.

  • @stardusth2o tru lips?..

  • he needs to date adam lambert

  • @123buffylover i won't allow that.. i would be jealous..hahahaha :D:D lol

  • That whistling isn't part of his range, it is far from vocal whistle-singing.

  • Ok.. I read all your comments and I'm very thankful for the all the feedbacks. I will really take that especially that I am planning to create another one. I actually made this video primarily to show all his fans how great his voice is. But his talent is more than that. I really can't describe the joy that he brings to me whenever I listen to his voice. God gave him this gift to inspire a lot of people and I'm one of them. So proud to be an Archie fan :)

  • some notes r right, but the others r wrong. i think tat C3 is supposed to be around F3 or G3. no way a tenor like him can hit C3...

  • @wenkuzz

I had a keyboard next to me, and I was trying to sing along his notes.

The notes written there seems write. I'm very very very very impressed by him right now

  • @wenkuzz C3 is standard note for every tenor, and the first clip has short C3 there.

  • Those are not vocal whistles!!!!!!!!

  • That last falsetoo was a run from C5 D5 EB5 and finally one split second of E5!

wonder why he doesnt use it much ..

His Upper chest belts are OUTSTANDING though !

  • What was the song where he hit the E5?

  • @lordpyrox111 "When You Believe", it's a cover of a duet by mariah and whitney

  • can someone please tell me the name of the e4 song? thanks! x

  • What is the song 3:18 - 3:24? Could someone tell me please? thanks

  • @ptimms1 It's Waiting for Yesterday. :)

  • @shikainaburningice Thankyou!

  • Sweeeet! ♥

  • AMAZING! thx .

  • why did you include his whistle? whistle and whistle register are totally different

  • @dreamingsleeping read the description of the video first

  • are u retarded falsseto doesnt start until G#5 and could u not tell he was actually whistling

  • @playstation123444444 it's ironic that you're the one who calls people retarded.

Falsetto is about the vocal placement - not specific key.

BTW, It scares me how you and the rest of retards below didn't get the poster's joke ( regarding the whistle notes)

  • @playstation123444444 it depends on the singer.. read the description first

  • woow he is the best! (:

  • This is so interesting! Great video I loved it!!! I think his best note is G4 haha he has such a great voice though all of his range is amazing! :)

  • He is incredible! I don't know much about vocal ranges and stuff but I'm guessing he is a tenor right?

  • @archiecook55 He is standard tenor, really light voice.

  • He got voc's but whistling w/ your lips doesnt count lol

  • Its C#3 not Db3

  • @Dam112 same thing..

  • @WeTheRedeemedMusic yes it is, but thats not how its written, hence i thought i'd mention

  • @WeTheRedeemedMusic and it isnt really the same thing either, because 'b' would emply a note falling slightly lower compared to a note being almost sharp '#'

  • @Dam112 im aware of waht a sharp and a flat are, but the both notes are on the same key, hence, same thing

  • does whistling with your lips count?? even i can whistle with my lips even higher than him...but he got a nice voice though...i think his a baritone...his high notes not really powerful

  • dose whistling with your lips count?? even i can whistle with my lips even higher than him...but he got a nice voice though...i think his a baritone...his high notes not really powerful

  • whistling doesnt count, only your chest and mix voice do.

  • Thanks for this great insight; I could listen to David's voice forever and ever ...

  • wow... you made a great ranging...

  • 4:37 I love this part..

    oh man..he's so amazing singer

  • he's just amazing..

    sense talent

  • Wow I knew david could sing but didn't kno he had pipes like that! Me likey

  • he has a powerful voice,,,, I love all of his songss he is so talented,,,,

  • thanx

  • 5:42-5:48 is Your Eyes Don't Lie. I really like that song. Wish it had been on the radio.

  • What song is he singing at 5:47 ?

  • that's With you _ Christ Brown

  • Great video but please do you know the name of the song he was singing at 7:34 with B4? I know it's gonna kill me if I don't find out :)

  • At 7:34 he is singing "Somebody Out There" which I think he co-wrote.

  • Thanks! Downloaded it and it's as great as I thought it would be :)

  • Thank you for putting this together, it was awesome!

  • Lol whistling with you lips doesnt count plus it was a C7 at the highest when he did it.

  • Oh yeah! Thanks for letting me know. :)

  • wow that is awesome! Love it!!

  • wow

  • Gosh. I'm stunned, and if I'm gonna put exclaimation marks, on this video, it might take forever.

  • Damn that C6 was on point, he got mad range, and vocal stamina

  • Fun!:D Great job on the video!!

  • Don't know much about vocal ranges but I love his G4 and A4 the best. Is his vocal range supposed to be that of a tenor BTW?

  • @bumiputri Yes. He is a tenor. :)

  • Thanks for posting this! I'm a fellow music-geek David fan!!

Question: Is the first note in "Angels" a B2? I always thought it was...

  • @nationalBAMN I'm not sure. I'll check that. Thanks for letting me know!

  • this is awesomeage!

  • OMGosh!! That was such a fun trip down memory lane!! Thank you so much for this awesome vid!! David is awesome!! :)

He even adds impromptu runs to his whistling at the end! ... OMHeck!!! :)

  • i'm sure there will be a LOT more to add when his Christmas tour comes up :)

this is so great by the way, thanks for making this, hope it wasn't too much trouble.

I love to show my friends this, showing off David.

  • Yes! There's lot more to come. David keeps getting better and better. I'll make another one. There are actually corrections with this one. Thank you!

  • nice video thanks

  • Thanks for the cool video! The best singers usually have a "sweet spot" ... a certain note or range that's so pleasing to the ear that you keep listening in the hope they'll hit it again. This video really shows that practically every note David Archuleta sings is a "sweet spot." (And thanks for including the whistling, esp. at the end -- amazing!)

  • Hey, that was very enjoyable, THANKS.

  • He doesn't use falsetto on some of high notes. His vocal coach said he uses soft voice on high notes. He used falsetto because of Mariah and I don't think he really likes to use falsetto.

  • i don't understand this...sorry...but i love David!

  • he's a tenor , he can sustain all the notes from C3-C5

  • Umm... I wouldn't really count the whistle notes.. It's not whistle register like Mariah, it's actual whistling, which has nothing to do with vocal range. So I'd say his vocal range is from C3 to E5, which is still impressive. Good vid other than that!

  • Thanks! It's great that you commented about that 'cause I wasn't sure about it. Well I still placed it just for fun. :) I agree that his range is C3-E5. Thanks again!

  • I do not know much about the letters and numbers. but David's voice is amazing. He can go low or high, either is beautiful. His voice is just breathtaking. I just love to hear him sing anything. BEAUTIFUL.

  • David is such an epic talent..

  • Question - Does that mean he has a 3 octave range?

  • Excluding the whistle, his range is from C3-E5.

  • @jackieogee He has 2 octaves.

  • thank you soooo muchhh for the videooo...cant wait to see the progressive of his voice in future..hehehe

  • Thank you for making such an amazing video. :)

I am even more in awe of David now. ♥

  • I knew he had an incredible vocal range, but WOW! this is awesome! Thanks so much for this! He's so unbelievably talented ♥

  • Oh what a treat, this must of taken you some time to do, thanks for all your efforts "-)

  • Oh thanks! I'm really an archugirl.haha! I'll do better next time. =>

  • Welcome! Sorry for the poor quality. I'll do better next time!

  • that was great

  • His voice gives me goosebumps! His live performances are EPIC! Thx 4 the vid:)

  • AWESOME!!

  • I wish I could sing like that. He is such a big talent.

  • Wow-just-Wow!!!

  • Thanks for this video. I don't know much about music but I know that David's voice is beyond amazing. This video is educational, entertaining and inspiring :) David is always an inspiration. I'm always in awe when it comes to his voice, his talent, and his personality. He's simply the best!

  • Thank you so much for this video. Even a semi-musically literate person like me is in awe of David's talent but for you to identify this is amazing!
