Best ending for such a tragic romance! Great acting Tom and Kristen! I think both Lana and Lois truly are self-less in different ways and both love Clark so much. Lana just wanted to be less of a burden, so Clark wouldn't stress so much about her. What a sacrifice overall. I think Clark and Lois are great too. Anyway, this is how it ends.

Lois brought out the human side that was compassion and all that. Lois brought out the kryptonian side of leadership, intelligence, inspiration and all that. If you actually watched episode 20 properly, she did hesitate to kill Clark, she was about to come out of it until the device asserted more control over her.

Bizarro absorbs Kryptonite like she does. In fact if he was still alive she could just get him to remove it from her. I just find it sad that a pivotal character in the show ends in such an ambiguous manner. There's about 50 plotholes around this arc. It's a slap in the face to all the people that have stuck by the show.

I love Lois, but I prefer Clana to Clois. Clois have good chemistry but seemed a lot more rushed than Clana. Admittedly, Clana was drawn out quite a bit though. When I first saw this, I was bawling on the floor.

Wish there was a way to listen to the soft music playing from 5:30 to 7:30...especially when it picks up around 6:10. Seems to fit perfectly for this scene.

Such an emotionally gutwrenchingly brutal scene that makes Lex even more evil! And the acting by Tom and Kristen is some of the best in the series and the way they charcerize this is in a way even better than all the movies about the Superman mythology. That said I hope the Man Of Steel movie in 2012 kicks ass, though!

She clearly knew bizarro was not Clark and even hesitated to kill him! Lois had never done that to Clark. Lois was always there to suopport Clark and also brought out the Man of Steel within him.

@venus0587 Lois is actually similar to the silver age comics in that she dated other men before Clark and then both started to have a romantic relationship before getting married. Even the personality is similar, bossy, spelling mistakes etc. and being a support for Clark. People will have different opinions that is true. I apologise for starting a rant because I thought you didn't like Lois at all. I realise it was just in the show that you didn't like her.

@TheKomgred ACTUALLY lois was affected by TOYMAN, when she had Clark's powers in the episode before the final and she didnt EVEN hesitate to kill him, while he was human during that part and despite the fact that he said "I love you" ....
lois did, in SV, bring the man of steel in him indeed, but she killed the HUMAN side of him in return... he has become this cold and distant "alien" that we dont know!

@Suuuuumaaa In smallville he has actually embraced both sides. If he accepted his human side then he should've rejected Jor-el instead of accepting him. Lois brought out the human side that was compassion and all that. Lois brought out the kryptonian side of leadership, intelligence, inspiration and all that. If you actually watched episode 20 properly, she did hesitate to kill Clark, she was about to come out of it until the device asserted more control over her.

Bizarro absorbs Kryptonite like she does. In fact if he was still alive she could just get him to remove it from her. I just find it sad that a pivotal character in the show ends in such an ambiguous manner. There's about 50 plotholes around this arc. It's a slap in the face to all the people that have stuck by the show.

I just think the producers couldn't afford her or she didn't want to be on the show so it was either something that had potholes or they would have had to kill her off and killing her off would've been really sad. i am a clois fan, but Lana was he's first love, the 1 u will never forget. The truth is the Clark-Lana thing was so dragged, they were together, they split, back together... they had like 4 seasons of glory. U can't keep a love story interesting for to long (u need drama, reasons to split, just to get back together again..). But yeah, for me Lana will always be the cute girl from season 1 to 3 (or more)...

People chill out. Lana is NOT a person. Kristin Kreuk is. Lana is annoying. And she and Clark were always dysfunctional. ^_^ Lois is awesome! Her *character* is soooo much more supportive & better for Clark. I love *Smallville* just not Lana. BESIDES she and Clark were never destined for each other! So it's nice to FINALLY move on!!
