  • Should get a water trap on that badboy, too avoid the weird high a's.

  • godlike^^

  • Absolutely fantastic son, fan-body-tastic!

Makes me wish I' wasnt 46, so I'd have a chance at one day being able to lay at this level!

It looks like you're using some sort of circular breathing, as I never note a break in the tune for catching your breath.. how do yo do that?

    Cheers

  • The composer of The Sandpiper is Don Bradford ( PM of Strathclyde Police PB).

  • truly fantastic, well done, I researched the composers of these pieces; Bradshaw and Canning, excellent, i Know nothing about pipes or anything, but good music superbly played transcends all pre knowledge. Its good, your good, well done and many thanks, X

  • You never stopped to take a breath

  • cycle breathing

  • @infobelow circular breathing.

  • I'm sure you are a fantastic piper to criticize this performance...but to me it did sound like there was some form of a metronome going on in the background. So even if he wasn't up to your standards there is still no need to discriminate against Hindu's. Since when has head bobbing became one of the numerous Hindu stereotype. That was tasteless and uncalled for. Next time you wish to criticize and pay a complement try to keep genetic (aka ethnic) groups out of it.

  • I agree with you...it has no room on this channel!

his comment was for attention...like a kid

standing in front of the TV set.. (the hundu thing)

    good call!!!

    :o)

  • it sounds like a metronome,but it's actually

    very well punctuated gracenotes...

takes years of practice to master.

    its tight though.

    :o)

  • I know this Piper!!!!

He is an Fantastic Piper and i love his playing!!!!!

He´s great but a long time he didn´t post a new vid!

I´m worry about him because some month ago there was a vid about him and an accident!!!!

    I hope he is healthy!!!!

Thanks for posting me this video!

    Regards

    Andreas

  • A video about an accident? Tell more?

  • I would like to know something more about his video of the accident too, but there is nobody telling me something!

I only know he doesn´t upload a pipe video since a long time!

That makes me worry about him!

    Best regards from Germany

  • great phrasing!

  • "Stevie's first bar" and "The Sandpiper" I use an age-old wooden Hardie practice chanter... it's so old that it was made in the days when bagpipe makers had no idea that the instruments they were making were severely out of tune... i had to modify the Low and High A's and G's with either carving or excessive taping.

  • Nice music !

What's title and what's kind of practice chanter do you use ?

  • whats the name of the first hornipipe?
