ATTENTION MORONS: Mennonites and Amish aren't the same...those people that you have on your idiotic, not too mention RUDE video are AMISH! There is a HUGE difference! For starters, Amish broke off of the Mennonite religion...yes, both are Ana-Baptist, but there are so many differences! Bet you don't even know what "Ana-Baptist" means!? Oh just so you know, I am the 9th great granddaughter of one of the first AMISH settlers in Pennsylvania, and NO I'm not Amish or Mennonite!
@tallooly2007 "Spelt" is actually "SPELLED"...ass! By the way, your video is really rude..do you even know the difference between Mennonites or Amish!?
Amish is a class of people which reside in U.K & USA & are around 350000 in no. They are bearded with no moustache. They dont use any advancement of modern age like electricity, computers T.V or refrigerators etc. Amish plough their fields with bulls & take water for drinking & irrigation from the wells. They pay taxes but dont utilize any advancement in science. No one objects to their life style but why do we object the simple life style of people of Northern areas of Pakistan & Afghanistan?
@hotsticker I've lived in PA my whole entire life, all 25.5 years! I've never heard the term "Mennonite Mafia" and all the Mennonites in my area...Somerset County, would find it very rude!
@Freakgrl04 Somerset county is a long way from lancaster (mennonite central). I know all about mennonite and amish. Trust me they are called the mennonite mafia. They are taking over everything, including the all the farm land. A good friend of mine buried his last grand parent and while they were at the viewing the mennonites went as far as asking what your going to do with the farm. very low.
@hotsticker Jacob Hochstetler, feel free to look him up in Wikipedia under "Northkill Amish Settlement", his only European born son, was my 8th great grandfather...he was the first Amish in Somerset County. Jacob was one of the first Amish in America. So in essence, I do have to say that I know a tad bit more then you may think. Amish and Mennonites didn't flee from religious persecution to be called nosy, rude or LOW! And the Mennonite at your friends, last grandparent's funeral, was curious!
@hotsticker Of course they were " Just curious". They wanted the jump on the farm. Hoping that it would be a good deal maby without a realtor or auction. But to bring it up up at the viewing is too low. They try to take people all the time. And by the way their family did eventually buy it through a realtor.

it's not making fun of them, perse, just an interesting situation to be in. life is a comedy no matter who you are. i poke fun at myself more than any other one.
since when are people of other religions and more simplstic lifestyles a tourist attraction? there are plenty of mennonites and amish in halifax county. its totally lame to gawk at these people and "sight-see" them. if you enjoy this how about travel to nyc and take pictures of the homosexuals, or africa to gawk at some native tribe. i myself dont appreciate stares and with your weight im sure you dont either. also dont advertise for MS events if you dont even know the details/contacts ;-)
i suppose every facet of life can be a tourist attraction, it's a matter of interest. so nyc is the bed of homosexuality? that's an interesting viewpoint, however highly inaccurate. a lot of people do go to africa to study native tribes, they themselves make the tourist attraction - go to any indian reservation and take a look around. i love it when i'm stared at, for weight, glasses or whatever it may be as you will well know.
lastly, as to the MS event, if you will look at the date of the video and pay attention to exactly is being said, then you could have participate (and gawked at handicap people like my husband too) and as always, contact is via youtube, they have email.
haha.... unfortunatley I work in St.Jacobs and you have no idea how many people come into my store and ask "where can I find the mennonites" It drives me crazy...
really? wow. we were mocking how people do stuff like that but never thought of the reality of it. i've lived overseas and realize people are just ignorant. i've been asked stuff like "do you have penicillin in america?" i find it amusing.
and dont act like you fucking know things about them...they're all different some drive cars ?! :S fuck ur so american go back to ur redneck states and get fat
i'm not even in the video, lol. but whatever dude, drink some beer and chill out. what an asshole canadian you are, thank god a rarity in my experience.
lol you're like 15min from my cottage, and about 5min from a bunch of mennonite run stores,i really hope this video was a joke though, because it's pretty lame to chase mennonites around like they're some exotic animal.
