There was nothing wrong with what he said. He is right. I would love to have had my teenagers in church loving Jesus and praising Him! They weren't drug users or drunks, no teenage pregnancies either. That doesn't make them good people though. Forgiven sinners loving Jesus is what I want all teenagers to be!!!
The man that knows how sinful he is, and how much he is forgiven, loves Jesus more. It has nothing to do with music or jumping up and down. True love is about forgiveness and not a feeling.
The video is amazing. The title for this video sucks. It has bad connotations. It seems like its saying that Perry Noble rejects the ideo of parents training up their kids in Christ. I know the description for this video is good but people don't see that on the side menu
and btw....im not a parent...but if I were...I'd be the proudest parent in the world if my child love their heavenly father, more than me...because in reality...that child would be a gift from God. I may be their earthly father...but they have a father in heaven who loves them more than I ever could.
And this is the same "Man-of-God" that allows AC/DC music in his church. Why don't you people wake up and smell the TRUTH! It's not about Brand Name religion, mega churches that ya'll spend too much time defending when you feel it's being attacked. It's about waking up to the TRUTH! When there becomes an epidemic in the church it must be addressed!
@soxster101 I'm just curious.....how many Pharisees in the bible thought that what Jesus was doing was an "eidemic in the church"? Truth is...for as long as I have been alive (22 years), the church has done a horrible job reaching the lost. Which...last time I checked was what we were called to do. The church today as a whole is doing a horrible job reaching the lost....I heard a quote once..."If you want to reach people that nobody is reaching, you gotta do things that nobody is doing."
@soxster101 Perry Nobles church is bursting at the seems....you may say that numbers don't matter, but when he has a solid amount of people coming to know Christ in a weekly service...then those numbers do matter....I'd rather attend a church where 75-80% of weekend attendance consist of the unchurched...homosexuals....thieves....etc than 100% christian. The church shouldn't only exist to feed believers...but to do what Christ did...seek and save that which is lost.
ok why do christians argue over everything. from how a preacher preached this sermon or what translation he preaches from or what kind of band this church has. i think those things are so trivial. if christians actually quit arguing amongst themselves and actually did what you are called to do. the church wouldn't be one of the biggest laughing stocks in this country. quit judging and arguing with each other. get over yourselves and look at this messed up world around you & do somethin about it
@theonetheycall turner Too bad Perry doesnt preach God's Word, (KJV) or follow Jesus (friend of the world) I went there for 7 years, if you love the truth more than NS, I pray the LORD leads you out of these false churches like NS. They are worldly and preach a false gospel, and seeker sensitive psychobabble! People with itching ears wanting to hear smooth things! Plus he says to be saved you must know Christ, however in Matt 7:23 they knew christ and did his work, but Jesus never knew them
DL Moody was once challenged by a woman that his way of evangelism was not the best way. He responded that he agreed and asked the woman how she leads people to Jesus, and she responded that she didn't. He then responded, I like my way of evangelism better than your way of not doing it.
Is Noble preaching the gospel? Yes. Are people responding? Yes.
Are you preaching the gospel and seeing people come to Jesus?
@littlemas2 Can you send me a sermon of Perry Noble's where he clearly preaches the Gospel and reads the Bible in a way that highlights Christ and what He has done?
@RockSprites ... all of them -__- he literally has the bible on stage every sermon...and get this...its gonna blow your mind...he opens it...stay with me here. and he READS IT TO US AND EXPLAINS IT. crazy right?
@TheOneTheyCallTurner I have listened to full sermons of his in context where he opens the Bible, but his exegesis has always been very poor and a twisting of the meaning of the text. But I would love to be proven wrong and pointed to a sermon where he exegetically handles the text without twisting it. It would be a pleasure to listen to. I'm not being sarcastic, even though the text may make it sound that way. : )
And, for the sake of argument, Rick Warren also opens a Bible and explains it, too. Except his explanation is 9 out of 10 times so far from the meaning of the text it's horrifying.
@TheOneTheyCallTurner No. If you understand methods of interpretation it makes a lot of sense. One can open a text with the intent of explaining and LOOK like they are explaining it, when in fact they are using the text to justify their own preconceived notions or sermon topics, or else eisegeting under the guise of teaching a text. So, one can set out to explain the parable of the sower, but THEIR explanation may not be at all loyal to the text.
@RockSprites contrary to popular belief, talking in such a manner as yourself does not actually help your side of the arguement. Especially when your points hold literally no relevance and are incredibly redundant. See there? I am capable of such verbage as yours...however, it has failed to suffice as an arguement. I hope we've learned something here today. I cordially invite you to know your role and shut your hole. Have a wonderful day.
@TheOneTheyCallTurner Ahh~! Assaulting a person's character instead of addressing the substance of their claim! You have learned well from Perry Noble.
I thought my points were articulated clearly. Did you see both comments I posted? Some of them are actually below and did not appear in this little thread.
@TheOneTheyCallTurner I also posted a comment telling you I would love to listen to a sermon where Perry preaches the Gospel and reads the Bible without twisting it. I have maybe listened to 10 of his sermons. Perhaps I just got unlucky. I try to be generous and I want to make sure that I do not have a misconception of Noble. Perhaps you could suggest a sermon or sermon series?
@RockSprites i know some good ones but i cant remember the titles of them. there was one where he specifically preached the gospel and he told us to try to get as many people there as we could and so many people got saved it was amazing. and in a public profession of faith (they also got baptized later on but this was just cool) the people who got saved walked down to the front and wrote their name on a piece of paper and nailed it to the cross symbolizing their sin being nailed to the cross
@RockSprites When you answer my questions, I will answer yours. I am quite sure that I don't agree with everything Perry Nobles does and believes, but I am also quite sure that most internet critics are not living out the gospel themselves. If you have a better way of reaching lost people and it is working then more power to you, continue to do it. I would love to here about your ministry. If you want to find out about mine, go to my channel and look for my info. God bless.
@littlemas2 The best way of evangelism is the way presented by Jesus and the apostles: the preaching of repentance in the forgiveness of sins; the preaching of the Gospel. We do not get to make up our own way of doing things and our own message, and it is best to stick to what God has revealed to us, rather then believing that we need to help Him out because we do not believe His method is efficient and God-centered. Do you disagree with Perry on Biblical grounds? If so, he does not get a pass.
@littlemas2 I'm also not going to play question games. If you were interested in showing people that Perry is reliable when they have listened to plenty of sermons that show otherwise, you would show that I am wrong. I would love to be proven wrong in this matter and give Perry the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, when I have heard the Gospel or Jesus fly by at mach 5 in his sermons, it has always been to reaffirm his eisegess of some principle into the text, and not to highlight Christ.
@RockSprites Are you living current sharing the gospel with unbelievers? Are you growing in the fruits of the Spirit? I do not have the inclination nor time to spend ferreting out every disagreement I have with every major preacher. Until I hear him say something clearly heretical or hear him taken to task by a major Christian scholar or pastor that I do know I will given a brother the benefit of the doubt, especially as his ministry appears to be fruitful.
@littlemas2 It depends on how you define fruitful. If numbers are everything, which they are in a business model, then his ministry is fruitful. If fruitful means that believers are growing in the spirit and being conformed to the image of Christ, there are many in the area of Newspring that would fervently disagree and have been very hurt by his church, it's members, and Perry himself. I have heard Perry taken to task by major Christians. Google it for more info. Also, the blog "Pajama Pages."
@RockSprites I am not playing question games by the way. I am trying to find out if you are really a mature Christian who has not only has knowledge but wisdom. Are you criticizing a Christian brother out of love for him or others? Is the way that you are doing it loving and/or effective? Are you in a body of believers where you receive good accountability so that you can get outside reflection on your actions and attitudes?
@littlemas2 My criticism of any pastor is only out of a love for Christ and His Church. However, if the criticism is accurate and true, people would do well to learn and listen, regardless of what the listeners SUPPOSE about the critic and their motive. I know debates work, and I'm not going to play your question games so you can evade giving real answers. A wise person does not attempt to analyze a person's psychology through Youtube comments. This is about what Perry teaches and says.
@littlemas2 Many who follow purpose driven/seeker sensitive pastors has trouble seeing criticism as anything but loving. If you have listened to leadership conferences, it is easy to understand why. Many believe there us no such thing as a godly critic, or a loving critic. My criticism here has been I have not heard Perry preach the Gospel. I have asked you to direct me to a sermon that shows otherwise. Why the interrogation of my background? It makes no sense.
I agree with everything Perry says here! Some kids do love Jesus more than their parents do! I'm so greatful that God put me and my kids at NewSpring. And when I have seen Perry around, he does speak. I always see him talking to people. But it is hard when you have four services and close to 3000 people in each service! I can't talk to them all, and I don't expect my pastor to.
I'm not sorry when I say this guy is just a jerk! Not sorry. This guy calls people who want to go deeper into the bible, like actually study the word,he calls them jack-asses! Im' not at all sorry for calling this guy what he IS.He's gonna have alot to answer for!
@thalindsaynaddieshw I get that these vids are a small part of a bigger picture. However it's the attitude with which he says some of these things, like when he says "you don't know how much I don't care what you think" I know in context it's not that bad,but it's the obvious arrogance with which he says it that's unChrist-like.Another example is where he says "he won't sacrifice his family on the altar of ministry",sounds good til he says "to eat bad food with folks that make him un comfortable!!
@1madeintheimage i would not wanna sit and eat food that could possibly be awful with people i hardly know yeah that would make me uncomfortable too. He is one of the sweetest men you will ever meet in your entire life. i see him in public he has not a clue who i am i say hey pastor p he replys w/ a smile and says How are you?! hes on FIRE for Jesus. he is making a point that he dont care. if he did care he would be in a bad place because people that dont know him speak their awful opinions. lol
@thalindsaynaddieshw I would eat bad food and sit with folks who make me comfortable, because "WWJD"! LOL! Seriously though, the problem isn't necessarily what he says, but how he says it, that shows his arrogance! I really can't stand his smuggness when he calls folks "Jackasses" for wanting him to stop preaching fluff! He is NOT showing Christ's love when he says things like that!Jesus said "Feed my sheep!" And He also said He would leave the 99 to save the one who was lost! But not perry!
@thalindsaynaddieshw I'm sure we agree on more than we disagree. And it's nice to talk to christians on these youtube threads! No cussing and calling names, God bless!
Read Psalm 150:1. The hebrew word for praise here is actually "Halal" which means to praise the Lord by celebrating, by dancing and shining forth, by acting clamorously foolish.
The Bible teaches us to do such things. Jesus enjoys it.
The point is moot. This is just another pastor preaching their own flavor of christianity as if he is any more or less incorrect than anyone else preaching that jesus is the end-all-be-all of spiritual salvation. Let us not forget that the jews had already created a wonderful god thousands of years prior to the birth of jesus. What valid evidence is there that jesus was anything more than a crazy man believing the voices in his head were those of the almighty god? FYI, there is none.
And for everyone in the comments saying that he is telling children to reject their parents spiritual authority and how Jesus said keep my commandments , it obviously wouldn't be meant if those parents aren't actual true believers themselves and they are leading their kids down the wrong path, right?
God bless everyone, newspring and all Internet trolls in comments
- jumping is just a way to express your love for Jesus
- he clearly gives a "if this, then that" , as in if you were angered/intimidated/worried when your child was that excited , then they are more excited then you . Which in that case is true, so the video description is clearly wrong and twisting his words
- true Christianity isn't about shooting down others and being like the crazy lady in the movie the mist ( somebody in the comments will condemn me to hell for watching that I'm sure)
Im sorry, I did not hear what you say he is saying. I guess if I go put on my critical spiritual ears I might hear it. Instead though, I think I would rather not join you in bearing a false witness against a brother. Maybe you should repent, let God set you free and listen again. I am very sure you would rather not be misquoted.
Um...we should love Jesus more than anyone else. If we love someone or something more than we love Jesus than we are putting another god before Him. Which is a sin as so stated in the first commandment. That's just flat out Biblical so any of you watching this video who wants to argue with it, you're arguing with Biblical teachings.
Folks, keep your children far away from this false teacher, who know what other un scriptural tripe he is teaching. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments, and one of them is to honour your mother and your father. He also defines normal as if he knows what normal is. Normal to him is to be a disrespectful, arrogant, big mouth.
Folks keep your children far away from this false teacher. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments and running down parents is not one of them.
a cult leader tries to separate children from parents and wives from husbands and undermines parental authority. he's saying they should do what he says and if the parents are concerned then they should shut up or face Gods judgment. he uses the phrase "bamf" which should set off warning bells and he uses images in his youth events which are designed to cause lust in young men. this man is dangerous.
@fowzie777 how dare you to say that Perry is trying to feed lust. you've never listened to a full sermon have you? im 17. i gave my life to jesus two years ago, after attending newspring with my boyfriend, EVERY TIME he mentioned the youth of the church he addressed the increase in teen pregnancy and how the guys of our age should have more respect. We even have our own service on tuesdays and OVER AND OVER AND OVER premarital sex has been shot down.
i like how you put this video up to "bash" perry and newspring...but this fires me up....i love this...teenagers are giving their lives to christ and are worshiping like god should be worshiped.....THATS AWESOME
This sounds like ageism to me, and I'm in my 20s. Really offensive stuff. So what if people become more subdued as they get older, there's a million natural, acceptable reasons for this. Who cares how far along in life you are, decade-wise? Does God think more highly of those in the youth group then those who happen to be in their 40s or 50s? One day all of the youth in his church will be old. Will they then be honored with a presumptious rant such as this one?
Your kid is passionately worshipping Jesus... today. Tomorrow, he'll be off to waving hate banners at gay people, muslims and abortion clinics.
Parents worldwide - please, wake up. There is a reason religion and religious zealots and hatred make the front page every effing day. It starts with perfectly sane kids jumping, crying, passing out and waving their hands, feeling "emotionally connected" to a guy who's been dead for two thousand years.
@GreyLabyrinthine - what kind of mindless drivel is this? you are a fool to condemn an entire group of people because of the actions of some. you are ignorant - no, you are pathetically ignorant. you imply that you are above religious people yet your anti-christian rant is clearly hate filled and specifically directed at only christians. therefore you are also prejudiced. and by the way - Christs resurrection is historical fact- because you don't believe it doesn't make it false.
@fowzie777 Historical fact?? You must know something that all the smart people on earth who published tons of books on the historicity of Jesus don't have - evidence. Kindly share it with all of us pathetically ignorant people.
@fowzie777 Also, curious how you never denied that religion makes the front pages for all the wrong reasons every single day, and instead chose ad-hominem- attacking me, making yourself seem to be exactly what you accuse me of being. You don't know me, and I don't know you.
The only group I condemn are the religious haters - who get more powerful every day - , and these kids are being raised into being part of that group. Do you condemn religious haters or not?
@GreyLabyrinthine Yeah. And all Black people are thugs. And all gay people are flamboyant. <---(Because this is in black and white I'll say I'm being SARCASTIC) What other stereotypes can we promote here?
If someone is passionately worshiping Jesus then they are LESS LIKELY to spew hate speech because worshiping Jesus involves actually following His teachings.
But something you NEVER see of those zealots is the love of Christ because they aren't actually following Christ. Don't stereotype us.
@WindItDown Where and how do you think these "zealots" have been brought up and educated? They were children and teenagers once, too, you know... and they started by rejecting their (real) parents for fictional ones, and started PASSIONATELY worshipping Jesus. (Just like Jesus advised back in the days... Luke 14:26) Or did you think they lived a regular, normal teenage life and suddenly succumbed to hate speech in their late 30s? Their parents sure didn't mind *them* going nuts for no reason.
@GreyLabyrinthine What I mean is, passionately worshiping Christ involves actually seeking out His teachings and following them. And the one He found most important was loving others.
The point being, when you see these bigots with their picket signs of hate speech they AREN'T following Christ. They aren't passionately worshiping Him. You can't worship Him with hate. They're bigots. Yeah, they go to church...but going to church/growing up in church aren't the same as TRULY following Him.
@WindItDown "And the one He found most important was loving others." ...others of the same creed. All the rest should be slayed before him. Very loving.
The point being, please read Bart D. Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus". The "TRULY" you think is not half as true as you'd like. Jesus, and all the other messiahs around those days, were way closer to the zealots you hate than to Gandhi or whoever you'd LIKE Jesus to have been like. You're cherrypicking, and that's nice, but, ultimately, false.
@GreyLabyrinthine Jesus didn't say others of the same creed. He said others. As in other people. Everyone else. Others. The points you're making don't ring true, but there's nothing I can say here that will change how you think it seems.
@WindItDown "Jesus didn't say others of the same creed." No, but he meant that. See John 15:6. I don't think that you show your love to others(those of different belief) by burning them. You have to consider that Jesus lived in a time of religious tribalism. Of course he only meant his followers.
You *can* say stuff that would change my mind, but it has to be plausible, sensible, and logical. The thing is, you *wished* Jesus really was meek and mild. He wasn't. He was almost a Pharisee himself.
@WindItDown Also, please read that book by Ehrman ("Misquoting Jesus"), and Mack's "Who Wrote the Old Testament". These two will give you a basic understanding of the historical Jesus (and how little we really know about him), the transformation of his character through the bible and through the ages on the background of political agenda. There are tons of books about that topic. They might disillusion you, but there's honest, sceptical, critical truth in them, which I'd hope you appreciate.
@GreyLabyrinthine Is my point being made clear? My point is, there are morons everywhere. There are morons who AREN'T religious who say mean, hateful, disgusting things about and to homosexuals. And it's wrong. Morons who hate on gays and use the Bible as their backup have been mislead when it comes to the teachings of the Bible. And in the Bible Jesus helped people who were in the position gays are in. These zealots are like Pharisees not Christ followers. You see what I mean?
@WindItDown Also, the point of this video:What this guy is doing, first of all, is telling parents to stop being a parent. Not good. Second, he argues that for your kid to go nuts in public in church, in total extacy out of love for an imaginary dead man, is normal. It ain't. If I had a daughter and she'd rip her shirt screaming and crying because Edward Cullen is on TV (Edward=imaginary dead man), I'd get her to the mental ward. And that is exactly what parents should do in case of Jesus-mania.
Absolutely NOTHING wrong with anything he said in this video! Some of you are completely distorting what he said. You all say he twists scripture...one would think you would know more about twisting things than that, considering how you twisted this video.
this isn't an any way even remotely coming close to even slightly resembling anything like telling kids to reject spiritual authority of their parents.
stop making wars within the church and start doing what Jesus told u to do and PREACH THE GOSPEL
it's crap like this that drives people away from "church people" and ultimately away from God.....good job.
@PheonixHeart1974 I don't understand how you got this response from this video other then letting the previous response on this video and your presuppositions of this man influence you, because I thought this clip was great.
@sumalumajumjum Uhhhmmmm isn't that what a lot of blessed folks did when they were blessed by God??? Noah...Job... David...etc. Maybe its not the end all, but its a better indicator than sitting around and looking stone faced at words from God that hurt ur wittle feelings :)
@Digitizeddragon23...hmmm....so....kids gyrating around the front of the stage...or i guess u think that is a church...listening to reeeaaallllyyy bad contemporary "christian" music...is what you want to compare to Job, David etc??.... and what this clown on stage somehow divines as children loving Jesus more than there folks??...i guess if would be really funny if it was not so sad...you have no idea what you are talking about friend.
Please note that Perry has never stated that he was better than anyone. Actually, it is the opposite. People who listens to Perry's sermons reguarly, has heard him say that he, like all of us, has fallen short of the glory of God and is not worthy of the gift of the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the focus of EVERY sermon. He has also stated that politics does not belong at Newspring, and refuses to discuss any political candidate--Church is for Jesus only.
@JoBaby70 he can say it all he wants but he refuses to act like a real pastor. He would never lay down his life for his sheep, he refuses to even talk to them. i know because i was one of them for 7 years
@MargeGood Um, even Jesus turned people away, and I'm pretty sure he is the Good Shepherd. In fact, Jesus said he would leave the 99 to find the 1 that is lost. If you think your pastor owes you attention personally I don't think you understand what being a pastor/shepherd means.
@MargeGood if you thing having a lot of people is wrong then you're gonna hate heaven if you make it there...lot of people up there and they all love jesus. your pastor isnt there to be your "buddy" he's there to bring you the word of god 1 day a week. maybe 2. its your job to follow jesus and read his word every day. if you're expecting to get everything you need 1 hour a week from your "buddy" perry noble....then you have it all wrong.
I think you're just jealous that your community is not reaching people for Christ like Newspring is.
Perry has said before to students who have parents who are not Christian that they must respect their parents anyway and attempt to set a positive example for them. But he has never once told a kid to outright disobey their parents unless that order from parents causes the child to sin.
So you're upset because Noble is telling parents to not chide their children for worshiping the Lord passionately? Isn't that what a parent should want for his or her child? I'm confused.
In all these videos he only cares about politics, semantics, and stupid drivel. He mentions Jesus, but none of it is about Jesus. Jesus isn't the central focus of anything he says. This is a personal platform for his views. He has a holier-than-thou messiah complex, but then slightly defers to Jesus, so it all sounds okay. Completely and utterly not worth listening to.
@sevennbsp That's probably because Perry is telling people what Jesus wants them to DO instead of just building this massive knowledge base of Jesus to do nothing with. As for a holier than thou messiah complex, I believe that one of his major catch phrases is that we're all messed up people that need Jesus. Yea, if you don't think that's worth listening to then God help you.
@sumalumajumjum Its pretty easy...you read the bible...and DO WHAT IT says. Its not Perry its the bible. Maybe its just that we're too used to having people talk about the stuff that its easy to NOT do.
For all the ppl who keep criticizin Perry, ur showing how much of an ignorant, judgmental fool u r! Perry is 100% RIGHT! And HOW DARE U ppl call urselves "christians" & judge a fellow believer, pastor, & child of God like this? "For in the same way u judge others, u will be judged, & with the measure u use, it will be measured to u." Matt7:2. U need 2 examine urselves instead cuz 1 day God will be judging u...& who knows, He may bring up these nasty comments that some of u seem to b leavin.
Isn't this the misguided individual that has called people in his "church" that want to dig deeper in the Bible... jackasses. I feel for the thousands of his followers that actually believe he is a Christian pastor because he is not preaching the real gospel. But whatever he is, he is well paid
@thatbrian God doesn't say when to praise Him. Besides...its hard to jump up and down and read the Bible at the same time. Oh, and by the by...if you'r using the Bible to scare folks away I don't think that God is going to be TOOOO happy about that. Maybe you want heaven to be empty but I don't think that God does. Give people a chance. Serve them to show them how awesome the Bible is, and then maybe we can help lead more people to Jesus. He does the work anyway.
@rosey4exclaim Let none look down on you because of your age. When I was 16 I was the leader of the worship team at my old church. I was leading Adults (2 of them being my father and mother) into worship. There is nothing wrong with kids and teens setting an example in worship. The junior highers and High Schoolers I deal with our extremely passionate in their worship, their parents could learn from them.
i hope you not a preacher God does not call you to srutenize how the word is pased on as long as it is Gods word. you are not God calling you to be a preacher why rnt u tlking bout wat he tlked bout what he spoke on God calls to rais our voices to him. you need to watch this again bc you arnt not a calling for God if you a christian and your judging a preacher you need to look at your self first
hes not talkng about the christian parents hes talking about the ones who go to church wearing a mask. if they arent fully submitted to God it would be embarrasing to see that your child is more enthusiastic about christ than you are. And what is it with you people talking down on a church. all i see is envy. Perry is just as human as we are. so instead of talking crap about newspring why dont we all just go take a good look in the mirror first...
This is such bull. What Christian parents would be upset that their children love Jesus. This is all designed to make Noble look good. His church must be full of spiritually retarded people.
I think Jesus' childhood answers whether or not what Perry is saying is against God's Word. If you look at Luke 2:41-52 you see Jesus, as a 12 year old, worshiping His God the Father through learning His Word and Mary & Joseph came along and basically told him to leave & come home with them. Did Jesus say something to the effect of "No! I am worshiping God the Father."? No. He fully submitted to what His parents wished Him to do. What Perry is suggesting is contrary to this & the 5th cmdment.
@JPT62089 Also, please note I am in no way suggesting that these kids would be sinning by Worshiping God. Nor am I suggesting that Jesus was sinning when He was worshiping God in Luke 2. What I am saying is that these kids, especially since their parents are believers, should be in full submission to the authority of their parents. The 5th commandment demands it, Ephesians 6:1-4 demands it, Christ's example demands it. They can easily worship Christ through their submission to their parents.
I have one child who passionately loves Jesus, and I'm still waiting for the other 3 to get on fire for Christ. I'd lay my life down to have the other 3 love the Lord more than me. Then my prayers would be answered.
so i was too lazy to see who posted it or what their argument is,. anyways.. uh. I think that if you think what he said here is wrong.. or . unsciptural.. than you are misslead, not him. Yes parents are supposed to lead their children spiritually, but if a kid is more on fire for God than the parent.. why not let the kid go for it, I mean why would you condemn that, in the end we are all brothers and sisters in Christ meant to help eachother. so.. not really sure what the big fuss is
That's nothing but truth and if your offended then obviously he is talking to you. Do all these people on really not have anything better to do than pickout flaws of Perry's and post them on youtube. Thru Jesus Christ if he has brought so many people to Christ by his teaching then can't we give him a huge applause instead of a stab in the back. I guess i should expect this though it's exactly what he preached about a fews weeks ago in the end of time!
The only thing I disagree with was when he encouraged children to lead their parents in worship. He should be encouraging the fathers of his congregation to lead their families not only in worship, but in virtually all other ways as well! Children should never be in any kind of authority over their parents or elders. These teens should be in discipleship under their parents, not going off to camp on their own to get a spiritual high.
@rosey4exclaim I don't think that he means that in this case. I think that he's pointing out in his overly frank way. He's saying, that the parent's are too reserved and worrying what people will think of them.
I see another decree from Pope Noble. He might should read his Bible about the authority of the parents vs. the pastor before he issues another "judgement". Deuteronomy 6:6-7,Ephesians 6:4, Malachi 4:6.
I think Perry should start off by following Col 3:8 and drop his cussing before he gives advice to parents. This guy is the poster child of "the ends justify the means".
Did he cuss in this video? The Ephesians 6 passage "Children obey you parents IN THE LORD" (emphasis mine) seems to say that children should obey their parents but only so long as the decrees from the parent are in line with God. Jesus accepts extravagant forms of worship (woman who cleaned his feet with her hair) while others sneered.
With all due respect, everything he is saying is true. The adults were the ones complaining about the children being around Jesus but Jesus said suffer the little children and forbid them not. I have sang in many youth rallies and the worship there is always more intense and more meaningful than most Sunday services. I sang at a youth rally at my cousins church and those kids sang and worhsipped God with everything they had.

When there becomes an epidemic in the church it must be addressed!
soxster101 4 months ago
@soxster101 I'm just curious.....how many Pharisees in the bible thought that what Jesus was doing was an "eidemic in the church"? Truth is...for as long as I have been alive (22 years), the church has done a horrible job reaching the lost. Which...last time I checked was what we were called to do. The church today as a whole is doing a horrible job reaching the lost....I heard a quote once..."If you want to reach people that nobody is reaching, you gotta do things that nobody is doing."
ryanc100 3 months ago

Do you have a better way that works?
littlemas2 5 months ago
@littlemas2 Can you send me a sermon of Perry Noble's where he clearly preaches the Gospel and reads the Bible in a way that highlights Christ and what He has done?
RockSprites 5 months ago
@RockSprites ... all of them -__- he literally has the bible on stage every sermon...and get this...its gonna blow your mind...he opens it...stay with me here. and he READS IT TO US AND EXPLAINS IT. crazy right?
TheOneTheyCallTurner 4 months ago
@TheOneTheyCallTurner I have listened to full sermons of his in context where he opens the Bible, but his exegesis has always been very poor and a twisting of the meaning of the text. But I would love to be proven wrong and pointed to a sermon where he exegetically handles the text without twisting it. It would be a pleasure to listen to. I'm not being sarcastic, even though the text may make it sound that way. : )
RockSprites 4 months ago
And, for the sake of argument, Rick Warren also opens a Bible and explains it, too. Except his explanation is 9 out of 10 times so far from the meaning of the text it's horrifying.
RockSprites 4 months ago
@RockSprites you're arguing against yourself now... i think we're done here
TheOneTheyCallTurner 4 months ago
@TheOneTheyCallTurner No. If you understand methods of interpretation it makes a lot of sense. One can open a text with the intent of explaining and LOOK like they are explaining it, when in fact they are using the text to justify their own preconceived notions or sermon topics, or else eisegeting under the guise of teaching a text. So, one can set out to explain the parable of the sower, but THEIR explanation may not be at all loyal to the text.
There is no contradiction in what I said.
RockSprites 4 months ago
Of course, it may appear that one is arguing against one self if one assumes that any explanation of something is a correct interpretation.
RockSprites 4 months ago
@RockSprites contrary to popular belief, talking in such a manner as yourself does not actually help your side of the arguement. Especially when your points hold literally no relevance and are incredibly redundant. See there? I am capable of such verbage as yours...however, it has failed to suffice as an arguement. I hope we've learned something here today. I cordially invite you to know your role and shut your hole. Have a wonderful day.
TheOneTheyCallTurner 4 months ago
@TheOneTheyCallTurner Ahh~! Assaulting a person's character instead of addressing the substance of their claim! You have learned well from Perry Noble.
I thought my points were articulated clearly. Did you see both comments I posted? Some of them are actually below and did not appear in this little thread.
RockSprites 4 months ago
@TheOneTheyCallTurner I also posted a comment telling you I would love to listen to a sermon where Perry preaches the Gospel and reads the Bible without twisting it. I have maybe listened to 10 of his sermons. Perhaps I just got unlucky. I try to be generous and I want to make sure that I do not have a misconception of Noble. Perhaps you could suggest a sermon or sermon series?
RockSprites 4 months ago
@RockSprites i know some good ones but i cant remember the titles of them. there was one where he specifically preached the gospel and he told us to try to get as many people there as we could and so many people got saved it was amazing. and in a public profession of faith (they also got baptized later on but this was just cool) the people who got saved walked down to the front and wrote their name on a piece of paper and nailed it to the cross symbolizing their sin being nailed to the cross
TheOneTheyCallTurner 4 months ago
@RockSprites When you answer my questions, I will answer yours. I am quite sure that I don't agree with everything Perry Nobles does and believes, but I am also quite sure that most internet critics are not living out the gospel themselves. If you have a better way of reaching lost people and it is working then more power to you, continue to do it. I would love to here about your ministry. If you want to find out about mine, go to my channel and look for my info. God bless.
littlemas2 4 months ago
@littlemas2 The best way of evangelism is the way presented by Jesus and the apostles: the preaching of repentance in the forgiveness of sins; the preaching of the Gospel. We do not get to make up our own way of doing things and our own message, and it is best to stick to what God has revealed to us, rather then believing that we need to help Him out because we do not believe His method is efficient and God-centered. Do you disagree with Perry on Biblical grounds? If so, he does not get a pass.
RockSprites 4 months ago
@littlemas2 I'm also not going to play question games. If you were interested in showing people that Perry is reliable when they have listened to plenty of sermons that show otherwise, you would show that I am wrong. I would love to be proven wrong in this matter and give Perry the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, when I have heard the Gospel or Jesus fly by at mach 5 in his sermons, it has always been to reaffirm his eisegess of some principle into the text, and not to highlight Christ.
RockSprites 4 months ago
@RockSprites Are you living current sharing the gospel with unbelievers? Are you growing in the fruits of the Spirit? I do not have the inclination nor time to spend ferreting out every disagreement I have with every major preacher. Until I hear him say something clearly heretical or hear him taken to task by a major Christian scholar or pastor that I do know I will given a brother the benefit of the doubt, especially as his ministry appears to be fruitful.
littlemas2 4 months ago
@littlemas2 It depends on how you define fruitful. If numbers are everything, which they are in a business model, then his ministry is fruitful. If fruitful means that believers are growing in the spirit and being conformed to the image of Christ, there are many in the area of Newspring that would fervently disagree and have been very hurt by his church, it's members, and Perry himself. I have heard Perry taken to task by major Christians. Google it for more info. Also, the blog "Pajama Pages."
RockSprites 4 months ago
@RockSprites I am not playing question games by the way. I am trying to find out if you are really a mature Christian who has not only has knowledge but wisdom. Are you criticizing a Christian brother out of love for him or others? Is the way that you are doing it loving and/or effective? Are you in a body of believers where you receive good accountability so that you can get outside reflection on your actions and attitudes?
littlemas2 4 months ago
@littlemas2 My criticism of any pastor is only out of a love for Christ and His Church. However, if the criticism is accurate and true, people would do well to learn and listen, regardless of what the listeners SUPPOSE about the critic and their motive. I know debates work, and I'm not going to play your question games so you can evade giving real answers. A wise person does not attempt to analyze a person's psychology through Youtube comments. This is about what Perry teaches and says.
RockSprites 4 months ago
@littlemas2 Many who follow purpose driven/seeker sensitive pastors has trouble seeing criticism as anything but loving. If you have listened to leadership conferences, it is easy to understand why. Many believe there us no such thing as a godly critic, or a loving critic. My criticism here has been I have not heard Perry preach the Gospel. I have asked you to direct me to a sermon that shows otherwise. Why the interrogation of my background? It makes no sense.
RockSprites 4 months ago
I agree with everything Perry says here! Some kids do love Jesus more than their parents do! I'm so greatful that God put me and my kids at NewSpring.

Folks, keep your children far away from this false teacher, who know what other un scriptural tripe he is teaching.
Bellarubia18 1 year ago
Your kid is passionately worshipping Jesus... today. Tomorrow, he'll be off to waving hate banners at gay people, muslims and abortion clinics.
Parents worldwide - please, wake up. There is a reason religion and religious zealots and hatred make the front page every effing day. It starts with perfectly sane kids jumping, crying, passing out and waving their hands, feeling "emotionally connected" to a guy who's been dead for two thousand years.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@GreyLabyrinthine - what kind of mindless drivel is this? you are a fool to condemn an entire group of people because of the actions of some. you are ignorant - no, you are pathetically ignorant. you imply that you are above religious people yet your anti-christian rant is clearly hate filled and specifically directed at only christians. therefore you are also prejudiced. and by the way - Christs resurrection is historical fact- because you don't believe it doesn't make it false.
fowzie777 1 year ago
@fowzie777 Historical fact?? You must know something that all the smart people on earth who published tons of books on the historicity of Jesus don't have - evidence. Kindly share it with all of us pathetically ignorant people.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@fowzie777 Also, curious how you never denied that religion makes the front pages for all the wrong reasons every single day, and instead chose ad-hominem- attacking me, making yourself seem to be exactly what you accuse me of being. You don't know me, and I don't know you.
The only group I condemn are the religious haters - who get more powerful every day - , and these kids are being raised into being part of that group. Do you condemn religious haters or not?
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@GreyLabyrinthine Yeah. And all Black people are thugs. And all gay people are flamboyant. <---(Because this is in black and white I'll say I'm being SARCASTIC) What other stereotypes can we promote here?
If someone is passionately worshiping Jesus then they are LESS LIKELY to spew hate speech because worshiping Jesus involves actually following His teachings.
But something you NEVER see of those zealots is the love of Christ because they aren't actually following Christ. Don't stereotype us.
WindItDown 1 year ago
@WindItDown Where and how do you think these "zealots" have been brought up and educated? They were children and teenagers once, too, you know... and they started by rejecting their (real) parents for fictional ones, and started PASSIONATELY worshipping Jesus. (Just like Jesus advised back in the days... Luke 14:26) Or did you think they lived a regular, normal teenage life and suddenly succumbed to hate speech in their late 30s? Their parents sure didn't mind *them* going nuts for no reason.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@GreyLabyrinthine What I mean is, passionately worshiping Christ involves actually seeking out His teachings and following them. And the one He found most important was loving others.
The point being, when you see these bigots with their picket signs of hate speech they AREN'T following Christ. They aren't passionately worshiping Him. You can't worship Him with hate. They're bigots. Yeah, they go to church...but going to church/growing up in church aren't the same as TRULY following Him.
WindItDown 1 year ago
@WindItDown "And the one He found most important was loving others." ...others of the same creed. All the rest should be slayed before him. Very loving.
The point being, please read Bart D. Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus". The "TRULY" you think is not half as true as you'd like. Jesus, and all the other messiahs around those days, were way closer to the zealots you hate than to Gandhi or whoever you'd LIKE Jesus to have been like. You're cherrypicking, and that's nice, but, ultimately, false.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@GreyLabyrinthine Jesus didn't say others of the same creed. He said others. As in other people. Everyone else. Others. The points you're making don't ring true, but there's nothing I can say here that will change how you think it seems.
WindItDown 1 year ago
@WindItDown "Jesus didn't say others of the same creed." No, but he meant that. See John 15:6. I don't think that you show your love to others(those of different belief) by burning them. You have to consider that Jesus lived in a time of religious tribalism. Of course he only meant his followers.
You *can* say stuff that would change my mind, but it has to be plausible, sensible, and logical. The thing is, you *wished* Jesus really was meek and mild. He wasn't. He was almost a Pharisee himself.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@WindItDown Also, please read that book by Ehrman ("Misquoting Jesus"), and Mack's "Who Wrote the Old Testament". These two will give you a basic understanding of the historical Jesus (and how little we really know about him), the transformation of his character through the bible and through the ages on the background of political agenda. There are tons of books about that topic. They might disillusion you, but there's honest, sceptical, critical truth in them, which I'd hope you appreciate.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago
@GreyLabyrinthine Is my point being made clear? My point is, there are morons everywhere. There are morons who AREN'T religious who say mean, hateful, disgusting things about and to homosexuals. And it's wrong. Morons who hate on gays and use the Bible as their backup have been mislead when it comes to the teachings of the Bible. And in the Bible Jesus helped people who were in the position gays are in. These zealots are like Pharisees not Christ followers. You see what I mean?
WindItDown 1 year ago
@WindItDown Also, the point of this video:What this guy is doing, first of all, is telling parents to stop being a parent. Not good. Second, he argues that for your kid to go nuts in public in church, in total extacy out of love for an imaginary dead man, is normal. It ain't. If I had a daughter and she'd rip her shirt screaming and crying because Edward Cullen is on TV (Edward=imaginary dead man), I'd get her to the mental ward. And that is exactly what parents should do in case of Jesus-mania.
GreyLabyrinthine 1 year ago

People who listens to Perry's sermons reguarly, has heard him say that he, like all of us, has fallen short of the glory of God and is not worthy of the gift of the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the focus of EVERY sermon. He has also stated that politics does not belong at Newspring, and refuses to discuss any political candidate--Church is for Jesus only.

GcDmStudent 1 year ago 16

@Digitizeddragon23....hahaha...right...perrry knows "what Jesus wants them to do"?...u can't really believe that can you?...
sumalumajumjum 1 year ago

U need 2 examine urselves instead cuz 1 day God will be judging u...& who knows, He may bring up these nasty comments that some of u seem to b leavin.
wondernation2011 1 year ago
@wondernation2011 yet what makes it ok for you to judge? maybe you need to look at yourself before posting a comment chiding others.

Isn't this the misguided individual that has called people in his "church" that want to dig deeper in the Bible... jackasses. I feel for the thousands of his followers that actually believe he is a Christian pastor because he is not preaching the real gospel. But whatever he is, he is well paid

The kids are NOT jumping up and down because they "love Jesus". They are jumping up and down because they love the music.
Stop the music, open the Bible, and then teach from it - see how many hang around.
John 6:52 -69
thatbrian 1 year ago

I was disappointed - judging from the title, I thought I was going hear some heresy, but nope - just good teaching.

hes not talkng about the christian parents hes talking about the ones who go to church wearing a mask. if they arent fully submitted to God it would be embarrasing to see that your child is more enthusiastic about christ than you are. And what is it with you people talking down on a church. all i see is envy. Perry is just as human as we are. so instead of talking crap about newspring why dont we all just go take a good look in the mirror first...

SO jumping up and down proves that we love Jesus?
SpcMedia21 1 year ago

JPT62089 1 year ago
@JPT62089 Also, please note I am in no way suggesting that these kids would be sinning by Worshiping God. Nor am I suggesting that Jesus was sinning when He was worshiping God in Luke 2. What I am saying is that these kids, especially since their parents are believers, should be in full submission to the authority of their parents. The 5th commandment demands it, Ephesians 6:1-4 demands it, Christ's example demands it. They can easily worship Christ through their submission to their parents.
JPT62089 1 year ago
@JPT62089 when did he tell the kids to disobey their parents? I never heard that.
GarrettMCobbs 1 year ago
I have one child who passionately loves Jesus, and I'm still waiting for the other 3 to get on fire for Christ. I'd lay my life down to have the other 3 love the Lord more than me. Then my prayers would be answered.

May Perry the false prophet repent.
seanpaynedotnet 2 years ago
so i was too lazy to see who posted it or what their argument is,. anyways.. uh. I think that if you think what he said here is wrong.. or . unsciptural.. than you are misslead, not him. Yes parents are supposed to lead their children spiritually, but if a kid is more on fire for God than the parent.. why not let the kid go for it, I mean why would you condemn that, in the end we are all brothers and sisters in Christ meant to help eachother. so.. not really sure what the big fuss is
nathanballentyne 2 years ago
That's nothing but truth and if your offended then obviously he is talking to you. Do all these people on really not have anything better to do than pickout flaws of Perry's and post them on youtube. Thru Jesus Christ if he has brought so many people to Christ by his teaching then can't we give him a huge applause instead of a stab in the back. I guess i should expect this though it's exactly what he preached about a fews weeks ago in the end of time!
philfire3 2 years ago
The only thing I disagree with was when he encouraged children to lead their parents in worship. He should be encouraging the fathers of his congregation to lead their families not only in worship, but in virtually all other ways as well! Children should never be in any kind of authority over their parents or elders. These teens should be in discipleship under their parents, not going off to camp on their own to get a spiritual high.
rosey4exclaim 2 years ago
@rosey4exclaim I don't think that he means that in this case. I think that he's pointing out in his overly frank way. He's saying, that the parent's are too reserved and worrying what people will think of them.
kaiserwilhelm 2 years ago
@rosey4exclaim He's saying "you should be as exicted as they are"

I see another decree from Pope Noble. He might should read his Bible about the authority of the parents vs. the pastor before he issues another "judgement". Deuteronomy 6:6-7,Ephesians 6:4, Malachi 4:6.
I think Perry should start off by following Col 3:8 and drop his cussing before he gives advice to parents. This guy is the poster child of "the ends justify the means".
Dremias5545 2 years ago
Did he cuss in this video? The Ephesians 6 passage "Children obey you parents IN THE LORD" (emphasis mine) seems to say that children should obey their parents but only so long as the decrees from the parent are in line with God. Jesus accepts extravagant forms of worship (woman who cleaned his feet with her hair) while others sneered.
Drumman31 2 years ago
With all due respect, everything he is saying is true. The adults were the ones complaining about the children being around Jesus but Jesus said suffer the little children and forbid them not. I have sang in many youth rallies and the worship there is always more intense and more meaningful than most Sunday services. I sang at a youth rally at my cousins church and those kids sang and worhsipped God with everything they had.
