I just wished that more machines including these did not contain plastic, I hate plastic which is omnipresent....as well as soy/wheat products! Are there any water purifiers that are completely made from high quality stainless steel?
I thought that plastic was burned in the recycling process....oh well. Anyway, there is (as u probably know) a lot of concern about potential dangers (cancer and other chronic conditions)in plastic (chemical toxin(s). I have read literature on both sides of the issue pertaining to the use of plastic and for me I am just uncertain about using plastic, but then again who knows for sure what is in many everyday things we use.
I meant burning petroleum - oil - gasoline - home heating oil - and the like. I was not clear. I did not mean burning plastic. There are things to make using petroleum now. Petroleum will run out. Gone. No more. So, let's make other stuff with it now. Algae can be turned into fuel. Algae can be made in plastic tubes. It works. Look up Algae fuel on Google.
@jtheis6 lmao stainless steel is toxic too. Seriously if you give the slightest shit about drinking pure water and taking care of your body and brain in general, do some research, don't just be a slogan-repeating brainless sheep. You won't last much longer (healthily, permanently) in this world if you don't start being proactive with your education and diet.
As boring as you feel it might be, the water situation on this planet is serious. I mean right here in the United States, not just in other countries. The Mid-West is having serious problems. Parts of California too.

Plastic to build things is typically a better use of petroleum than burning it.
