Older trucks are far better there easier to fix if something fucks up my grandfather had the same Chevrolet Silverado 1500 from 1994 and it is still in wonderful condition. New trucks are made from fiber glass not steel like before. Before you could tell what's what at a glance now they all basically have the same damn body give or take a few details. New shit sucks deal with it.

let me go where many have gone before... not even bashing the video but the comments of the towing 10k plus... the new ford 6 speed trans and new frame with its suspension set up. you dont need a heavier duty truck than it is already. they made the 150 stronger and capable of that because more and more people are pulling with the half tons due to gas prices. so ford answered that with its new 150. just because it outdoes the rest in towing doesnt mean its wrong or need to be bigger

The main reason for the towing difference is the suspension on the ram is meant to be comfortable while still towing plenty for a 1/2 ton pick up... if you need to tow more than 10,000lbs regularly you should be driving a heavy duty truck/

my best friend has a 5.3L 08' Silverado. Not gunna lie its a very pretty truck, but thats after he put $10,000 into it to get all the after market junk. my neighbor, an old guy, has been driving Dodge rams all his life. just got a new 09 hemi. i some how persuaded him to let me take it for a spin and WOW!! thing can fly!! I am going to get one as soon as i can afford it. And wait till the SRT10 comes out!! nothing compares to the 09 ram.

This is true, the 403hp and 417 ft-lbs of torque is a bit of a trump card. I do wish that dodge would apply the VVT to the 6.1 and put it in a truck. Heck even leaving it the way it is would be pretty sweet... Though I also believe they need to get with the times and get rid of the 5 speed. They have a nice 6 speed behind the diesels that would be a good choice; you would never kill it with a gasser : )

well, it rides much smoother than any other truck i've driven, and it can handle a heavier load. the big thing is the shocks mounted outside the framerails. that may look like just a marketing thing on the commercials, but switching over from our '03 f-150 to our '07 and '08, it makes a world of difference. you don't get the up bouncing like other trucks.

f-150 is he best hands down. it has the most towing, which is one of the most important things on a truck, best suspension, best 4X4, best crash test ratings, idk about fuel economy. oour '08 4.6L gets 23mpg highway, and i ca imagine the new 6 speed tranny gets more. the f-150 also has the widest range of budgets, from about 20K to 45K, all very capable. seats are also very comfortable, and i can "comfortably" say that (lol) from experience.
