  • my question is : is that sound the less that you can ? or could you do more than that .

    thanks for your help

  • @77edino This one sounds great, but I just had short shots put on my 07 1200C without the quieter baffles and I like the sound of mine better, but they are much louder and deeper, but I live in Bakersfield and the cops here don't bother you about it. I never thought I'd own a Harley and bought this one from a neighbor at a great price and thought I'd sell it, but now it's really grown and me and it's alot of fun to ride and I've seen great idea's on YTube, I'm excited about mine now.

  • how much are these pipes?

  • Thanks for the vid

  • no se cansan muchachos de poner videos de gordos parados a un lado de la moto acelerando nomas ?

  • nice sound

  • Very good sound!!I've a nightster vivid black..it's very beautyfull motorcycle!!

  • time to do top end? dam its a nightser,,how old can it be?

  • From the look of the smoke coming out of the pipes at start up, it might be time to do the top end. Nice looking sporty.

  • hfelf

  • @Z1slayer ive seen brand new bikes do the same...could also be the case

  • No bike should do that if the rings have seated and the top end is new.

  • i've seen new bikes do it and cold bikes do it, if its warmed up maybe

  • ive seen one of these with clip ons it looks nice wi

    th the clip ons

  • rookie question, but; what would you consider better, quiet baffles, or standard baffles?

    5/5

  • Rineharts may sound nice but you have to factor in the price and the looks....I think short shots are by far the best looking set for a nightster

  • rineharts are way better also alot more expensive

  • Those pipes definitely suit your bike, looks good.

  • cheap out on the pipes? so why dont u clue us in on what you think is better you fucking chode.

  • kewl bike

  • i have a beginner's question, do you have to have a fuelpak in order to put on the V&H exhaust?

  • I did install a Power Commander and had it dyno tuned; however if you get your Power Commander from Fuel Moto they will add a map for type of specifications for your type of pipes and air cleaner.

  • can i get a power commander or pro charger for my 00 sportster? i got cycle shack exhaust on it now with the baffles out and she pops when i let of at high r's..wondering if just an aftermarket air filter will do it or not. dont want to spend 50 bucks on a filter if its not gonna fix it. will just buy a whole intake kit

  • why would you want quieter baffles

  • Love it - can't wait to get them on my bike!

  • put them on my 1200 roadster and love em!!!

  • thanks..! you just answered all my questions with this video. I just ordered my Nightster and asked for these short shots (but in matt black)the dealer (in the UK) said Id attract a lot of unwanted attention from police without different baffles. as I can hear..they still sound damn good!

  • You must be an expert in all things gay then huh?

  • @Lorelei76 LOL agreed , people talk in such stupid terms haha

  • I agree that the black pipes would look much better, but no need to say it like that.

  • On the silver and black Nightster I think the chrome looks better than the black, I don't like the shorties though on the S & B, it takes away from the silver line of the bike. I'm going to get the Rinehart slipons.

  • Did you have to remap the fuel injection after installiing these pipes?? That sounds pretty good,, I'm looking for pipes, but don't know what to get yet..

  • I just put these on my wife's 883 low, baffels in.....sounds sweet

  • I just brought home a brand new 08 nightster in black . Thanks for making this video !! Now I know what pipes I will be installing !

  • i cant get my mufflers off from the pipe how did you do it?

  • A lot of patiance. But I read somewhere that if you pour window cleaner over the connection, this will help ease some of the pulling.

  • hey men i love your MOTOR BIKE,is my next bike,i sale my R because i love your bike,im spanish guy thanks for the video

  • Amazing bike and thank you for putting up the video. Did you notice any difference in perfomance (better or worse)of HP/Torque ?

    Thanks

  • Thanks. .It does seem have a little more low end torque; but not much to really write home about.

  • shytester.?

  • I heart that Nighster, especially the army-green one, but I am over 6' tall and I look like a total dork on one so I bought a FXST instead and it is pure secks. Nice bikes the Nighties tho.

  • Good chice! sprsters are fit for guys around 5'8", like me.

Long live harley, and congrats on your purchase.

    From Iran

  • No offense bro? who the hell are you? I am sure you are a real peice of work yourself sweetheart watch yor use of the term bro I am sure you dont hang around bikers with a smart yap like yours youd be toothless by now... oh wait I bet you are

  • LOL. good one!

  • no offense bro, but you're rather big for such a mini bike, arent you?

you must like picking yer ass all the time after you get off this thing. why would such a big guy, have such a tiny bike?

    circus act maybe?

  • nice, im getting them for my custom 1200

  • Sounds sick!!! I want those pipes.

  • Keep that shit to yourself. Harley's aren't my favorite either but this one sounds great. What a douche.

  • Wicked, just ordered some for my nightster :D

  • Sounds great! Nice ride

  • Maybe you should learn to spell...

  • Wow! If you ride a foreign bike you get shit on by some Harley owners, now if you ride a Harley "883 or 1200" you get shit on by people named HarleyBobber. What should we ride now?

  • harley losers the next name they give them bikes

  • AHHH HA HA HA burn

  • in hell

  • V&H has ceramic coated black versions of these pipes and the SideShots due to be realeased Nov 07. V&H Fuelpak module will tune your EFI to obtain optimum fuel/air mixture at all throttle positions too, no more popping. Nice sound - even with the 'quiet' baffles. Ride on.

  • Zx12R1 STFU! go back to japan, its all about american HORSEPOWER bitch!

  • Yeah all the pretty ladies love a Harley rider.lol

    Lovely bike and sounds fantastic.

  • wot they must be on something. dont know wot through.

  • seems to be burning to rich...sounds nice though!

  • how much does it cost to have that stuff coated black. I bought a 07 sportster and want everything blacked out.

  • It's not really too bad. I was quoted an estimate of $15 per ft.

If you Google Classic Coatings they have a pricing chart for motorcycle and auto parts if you want a general idea.

  • Take off the pipes sand em down and use high heat 1200 degree or 1400 degree paint works great and costs about 10 bucks.Get at a hardware store, auto parts store or order from J&P or someone.Dont use engine paint it cant handle the heat.

  • Those would look real good in black.

  • My thought exactly. I'm planning on having the heat shields ceramic coated this winter along with a couple of other items.

  • Are the baffles on these pipes removable? Sounds and looks great!

  • Thanks much. Yes, they were easily removed.

  • Yes, they are removeable. Thanks!

  • well harleys go in trash cans so chuck it i did to mine all fxxx7 of them

  • Nice effing pipes man... looks great!

  • how much does those pipes cost and to be installed getting that bike when i get back from iraq semper fi

  • The cheapest ones I found were at American Classic Motors on Ebay for $275. I installed myself which was pretty easy.

  • Thanks much, it's been a fun little bike so far. Right after we shot this I had it Dyno'd and no more black smoke, runs really smooth.

  • nice bike, but why so much smoke? maybe you need to adjust the EFI to the new exhaust?

  • burn in
