  • very very beautiful.

  • Beautiful playing sir, thanks for sharing

  • very nice,thank you.

  • Thanks for posting this. I always wanted to learn this piece and you gave me a way to work on it. Thanks a bunch. I'm enjoying playing it now.

  • @ChitoSanchez - glad to hear the video helps!

  • Relax ^^

  • N-i-c-e...

  • Beautiful!

  • Would you recommend the 000CXE?

  • @hybridtheory3 - yes, although these days I usually prefer guitars that have more of a pure "wood" sound (like the Matons and Cole Clarks). The 000CXE has a very good sound in it's own right, nice and bright, and plays pretty easy (although this one gives me occasional problems with the high E slipping off the neck... maybe that's just the way I play causing problems, not sure). I'd recommend it.

  • @ThinkingDog06 Thanks! appreciate it.

  • gosh!! my heart's melting.. </3

  • This video just sold me on this guitar. Thanks, great stuff.

  • This is set on standard tuning with capo at 4th fret right? I LOVE YOUR VIDEO... :D nice guitar. ;)

  • @cyrus364 - thanks, really appreciate it ... capo at 4th fret, low E tuned down to C, rest is standard. Take care!

  • @ThinkingDog06 OH SWEET! Yeah, you too! Thanks again! XD

  • @ThinkingDog06 nice

  • Absolutamente grandioso. Congratulations!

  • audrey hepburn would bow!

  • Thanks for this. Some people don't realize how difficult it is to play music composed for a piano on an acoustic guitar. You really did a nice job with this.

  • hiya do you have tabs for this song? and/or selling it by chance? cuz i'll buy it I love the arrangement u did!

  • @IlikeCheese4ever - thanks, glad you like it. I don't have tabs, but I'm playing an arrangement by Ed Gerhard and there may be some tabs out there under his name. Thanks again!

  • that is really amazing, thanks for sharing... just ordered the same guitar... recommendations for strings and/or acoustic amps that aren't that expensive? thanks a lot and keep posting!

  • @mikebbm3 - hi, thanks for the kind comments. Congrats on ordering the Martin! I've been using James Pearse light strings, but also like Elixir... both are good choices. For acoustic amps, I've got a little Roland AC-60 that seems to do the job (and is relatively lightweight). Thanks again for listening, best of luck and have fun with that new guitar!

  • 0 dislikes. I can see why. This is so soothing! :) Nice job!!

  • @goldendog6 - thanks, I really appreciate it ... (from one dog to another) ;)

  • Just terrific finger picking control and tone. Well done. One of the best I've heard on youtube. Thank you. MORE JAMES TAYLOR STUFF PLEASE! lol

  • THIS INTERPRETATION TOUCH MY SOUL ....

  • MAGNIFICO!

  • hey is the guitar made in America or Mexico, or where??

  • @Mattguitarman1234 - made in USA, thanks!

  • Awesome! Beautiful! Brillant! I've this same guitar and I'm going to try play this song now. Congratulations

  • Is your guitar made in MEXICo??? I've the same guitar and it made in MEXICO. The old MARTINS 000CXE was made in USA. Do you know the diference between? Thanks. PD: You're a great guitar player.

  • @damabrazo - hi, thanks for the kind comments. Sorry I thought I responded already, my bad... I checked the label in the soundhole and this one is made in the USA. Thanks again!

  • This is fantastic, any chance of a tab?

  • do you think this guitar is nice when plugged and unplugged ? i really want this one soon!

  • @domeee11 - sounds good either way, really a nice sounding guitar.

  • Sick

  • @StevenM92 I second this. I was iffy on getting a thin body acoustic but it sounds so beautiful

  • this guitar is sooo sexy. i have the same one, it's the best purchase ive ever made. <3

and the kyser capo too...heh :)

  • @ukedreamer - yes, great guitar. Lately I've been playing with it tuned down a whole step and for some reason that sounds even better to my ear, more full and rich (I recorded a fingerstyle version of "Silent Night" with it down a step, on my YT Channel if you're interested). Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by and listening -- best of luck, and keep playing!

  • Very beautifully done!!!.....thank you

  • wow that was amazing good job man keep up the amazing work

  • ic thanks, i'm an owner of two martins d28/d35 which i love. but my playing style has changed and i do more higher on the neck now and want a cutaway. not wanting to spend a ton and deciding between on of these 00 or 000, and the low end spruce top and sapelle b/side which is about 1g(different model altogether). i'm looking at these as i'd mostly use on stage just for the things i work high on the neck. i'm guessing its the pickup and not a mic you recorded with......thanks again for reply

  • ver nice. what type and gauge strings are you using on the guitar if i may ask?

  • @fst55 - Thanks, I'm using John Pearse strings, I believe they're light gauge... I think 11 on the high E. Take care!

  • wow...amazing play and gorgeous tone!

  • can you give me that guitar? :D

  • LOVEEEE This song

    Beautiful, Great job :)

  • Wow that was really nice. It sounded great. I have that same guitar. I think this great responds well to effects like chorus, reverb, phasers, etc. and your video expresses this very good.

  • Hey.

Very nice cover :) Toy played it beatifully, well done :)

I was wondering if you had any tabs or notes available ???

    KRF ThopsDK

  • @ThopsDK - Thanks, my cover is based on Ed Gerhard's arrangement; the tab of that arrangement is available at the site musicnotes (dot com slash sheet music ... YT doesn't allow me to post actual url links here) and other sites. Take care, and thanks again.

  • where you just using garage band, because that sounded excellent!!

  • @Mattguitarman1234 -- hi, thanks for the encouraging comment. I use Logic Express, which is a step up from Garage Band (although very similar) and a step below the full version of Logic. Thanks again!

  • @ThinkingDog06 o yes ive heard alot about logic, get job, very good!!

  • Hii..really love the way you play that song..

And it is the martin 00cxe right ?

    How was that guitar ?

Do you have had any problem with it this far ? I'm looking to buy the same guitar or the DCX1E..

    Could u help ?

    Thanks..:)

  • @han23v -- thanks for the kind comments. I like the Martin, it's obviously different in sound and feel than their solid wood guitars (and a lot less expensive), but I like the brightness of the sound and it's an easy neck to play. I recommend it.

  • Omg do you have like an amp with that or is that the guitar itself because that sounds so beautiful haha

  • Love the sound, tuning and the arrangement, what kind of amp were you using?

    Thanks.

  • @raidereddie - thanks listening and for your kind comment. For this recording, I just ran the guitar straight into my Mac (through a Motu audio interface), no amp.

  • I have a same guitar as yours but it sounds different from mine when you play it! I love it!

  • @lawchihei - glad you like it, thanks for listening and commenting!

  • Way to go buddy , loved the melodic classic and i fell in love with your guitar , a bit expensive though......nice

  • @iDEBAYtv - thanks man, I appreciate the comments. The guitar is cool, I got it second-hand a few years ago so it didn't set me back too much. Thanks again!

  • Full of expression - very bright guitar (would love one myself !). Great Performance.

  • @chrisalsopguitar - thanks Chris, I greatly appreciate your kind comments.

  • I just bought this guitar and I am so excited to hear what it can do. Great job with this song. I could hear it over and over again.

  • @jnhnews - thanks, I really appreciate the kind words. I think it's a great guitar, produces good sound for both live and recorded playing, and easier to play than the more expensive Martins. Best of luck!

  • Just bought this guitar and so excited to hear when it can do. Great job with this song. I could hear it over and over again.

  • Wonderful performance, tone, and recording. I love your feel and accuracy! :)

  • @BirdmanWayne94 - thanks for listening and for the encouraging comments.

  • Your expression shows how much you love the song, and we who love to hear it well played appreciate it! The carbon-fiber guitar sounds good too!

  • @heycolslaw - thank you for such kind words, I really appreciate it.

  • Awesome playing my friend!

    Sounds sweet and beautifully.

    Bravo! Stars and faved!

    Cheers, Hansel

  • @HanzP - Thanks as always for your encouragement and support!

  • You play Gerhard's arrangement of "Moon River" wonderfully! I'd love to hear you play some of Ed's other arrangements, particularly "The Water is Wide" and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." Thanks so much for sharing.

  • @Bluehill29 - thanks, I'm a big fan of Ed's arrangements and in particular love his take on "The Water Is Wide" so I may attempt that one. Thanks again for listening and for the kind comments!

  • Beautiful, as always you've really captured the essence of the music. Nice Martin. Where's the Maton?

  • @vernew - Thanks! Still love the Maton but was noodling around with this Martin (nice guitar, warm sound for a composite/hybrid) and thought I'd record the video with it. Thanks again!

  • Very much appreciate you posting this video. Excellent touch and voicings.

  • @rhodesguitar2 - thanks, really appreciate the comments. I hope this helps if you're interested in learning this arrangement, it's become one of my favorites tunes to play on acoustic guitar.

  • So Excellent and Satisfying on so many Levels! Musically, and all the details of recording, sound and video , you are the textbook on how this should be done. what an inspiration to all.

  • @6thStringPlayer - Mark, thanks so much for the encouraging words. Very kind of you.

  • @Mpoiuz - thank you for such kind comments, it's very much appreciated!

  • The dog had his day on June 5th. Really, excellent my friend. I love this tune, and you interpreted Ed's arrangement wonderfully. \

  • @gazoscreek - thank you my friend, always feels great to hear encouraging words from you.

  • SO beautiful! I love this arrangement of Ed Gerhard! You play it fantastic!

And we have a wonderful glimpse at every finger movement you make - just a video to learn this tune. BRAVO!

At all - it's a most beautiful composition of H.M.

    Thanks for posting this beauty!

    -Bernd

  • @BoeckmannLudwig - Bernd, thank you so much for the compliments, always means so much coming from such a talented guitarist like you. This arrangement from Ed Gerhard really touched me as a beautifully simple way of interpreting the song for guitar, he's really a masterful arranger and musician. Thank you again.

  • very tastefull play..I loved it..!

  • @Qpidon - Pascal, thank you for the kind words. Hope to see more videos of your wonderful playing soon!

  • I like all your videos, and this is wonderful

    Agustin

  • @agustinamigo - Agustin, thank you so much ... I certainly feel the same about your videos!

  • This martin sounds wonderful in your hands. This song makes me "see" Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard in front of a jewelry...

  • @ordepix - thank you, the song really is one of the most beautiful melodies ever composed.

  • Perfectly! This was really great!

    Best wishes, thanx!

    Frank
