Does anyone know whether Rachel Maddow also thinks the separate showers for men and women are ridiculous? I usually agree with her, but that comment sounded hypocritical. :s

I think it's only fair to let gays be in the military. Afterall, the just thing to do is to let gay soldiers fight against Muslim fundamentalists who hate gays. The Cold War was the God fearing Americans against the Godless Commies. It makes sense to me that this War on Terror should be between gay accepting Americans and gay hating Islamic Fundies.

Good to know. Hearing Engel's description of the survey to me reaffirms how ridiculous and discriminatory the policy is, though. They could just as easily replace "gay" with "Muslim" or, going back further, with "female" or "black." How about those with blue eyes, or even people who watch "The View"? Maybe we should ask if they should be allowed to serve... It's not right.
