I rented this game when I was 10, and this part is where I got stuck. I could NOT figure out how to pass that colored block puzzle. Now it seems so simple.. unfortunately, I doubt I could play this game and get into it now as a 24 year old man, in the same intense way i got into games as a kid. You lose your sense of immersion a bit as you get older and mature. Sucks it was so simple.. lol

this game was full of puzzles like this..some were just a piece of cake like the block puzzle but most of the time you would miss something obvious and spend hours trying to figure it out.

Gotta hand it to you HCBailly, LPing the two games (this and Seiken Densetsu 3) that I've wanted to see for a very long time.. I've heard great things about both of them so it's great to be able to see them played through.

I especially can't wait until you get to the final dungeon in Lufia 2, even though that's a long time from now, seeing as how that song ("The Last Duel") is what actually got interested in this game..

I usually don't use healing IP techniques in the main game, either. I don't really see that much of a need for it. Most areas are short enough where running out of MP shouldn't be an issue.

Now, the Ancient Cave, on the other hand...Healing IP is a VERY nice thing there. In fact, unless I find the Absorb spell, I usually save my IP exclusively for healing.

I use healing IP way more than I use Strong/Stronger/etc, and I almost never save up IP for bosses. Not that it matters because this game is pretty easy no matter how you play it really.

Strange... I always found the healing IP attacks EXTREMELY useful. Especially one a certain blonde haired brute gets later, if you know what I mean HC? 25% of HIS HP for the other characters is nearly a complete heal, and he is also bound to take a beating. it doesn't cost much IP points, either.

dang, you sure post these early haha. my insomnia is horrible so im always up till about an hour from now but at least i get some LP for breakfast! also i cant remember if you mentioned it before, but some of the early enemies drop rare equipable rocks that raise your stats and help out alot early game. some are also crucial for evolving your capsule monsters
