Howard Shore proved beyond a doubt the power of the symphony and the choir. I can't think of any other composer in history that has done as much with a score. I was playing the Beatles, Clapton ...etc. Now I play the Fellowship of the Ring as if it was life support.

Its played a number of cities since 2004. I know that they have also started doing Live to Projection, with a live orchestra playing as the movie is showing on a big screen.

The only scheduled performance in the US that I know of in 2009 is at Radio City Music Hall in NYC on Oct. 9 and 10. Every other one is in Europe - but don't be surprised if it goes back on tour in 2010 or 11.
