  • done installing!thank you so much for your video!

  • @redzo20 Was it as hard of a job as you thought.

  • Thanks so much, your videos are going to make doing my speaker installation so much easier!

  • hmm, I have the same handle, but it's not loose at all

  • @misterbeebe

ahh, I see--you have to slide it forward towards the front of the car to release from the retainer mechanism

  • Thank you for posting this instructional. My VERY impatient husband spent the afternoon frustrated trying to replace this door panel without removing the handle! He laughed at the simplicity once he saw this video. Thanks again. :)

  • @10tippietoez I am glad my video helped.

  • i wonder if this works for 1999 kia sephia i sure it will work

  • Can someone help me find a door lock switch for a 99 SC1? I'm googling to death over here but these links never take me anywhere. A lot of these auto parts places are the same it seems. My driver side door switch prevents the passenger side door from locking. I have to fiddle with the driver side lock switch because it doesnt 'rock' correctly anymore. I'd fix the darn thing if I can find the part. Thanks!

  • @samuelbrainsample I will have to PM you the location for Saturn parts.

  • Thanks Rich, my handle assembly is exactly like the one in your video but I imagine the lock switch can be removed. I'm finding used ones on ebay but I rather would have a new one.

Thanks for the video about the popping sound the door makes from the checklink. That's been driving me crazy for a few months and that's #1 on my get-fixed-list when the weather warms reliably. I guess I have to find a welder though. :-)

  • great camera work with small pieces; well done sir.

  • Hey Richpin, thanks for that video, although I have a 2000 SL2 that has 3 rods two on top and one at the bottom; the 2 on top I had no problem to figure it out. The bottom one it seams that it does not comes out unless replacing the clip/ braking it, since it got a pushed plastic clip with a plastic washer on top to hold it. Please let me know or post another video.

    Thank you very much

  • Thanks Richpin, this is a very helpful video. Everything comes apart and goes back together exactly as you show it. I made a pull rod out of a piece of coat hanger wire, and had no problems. With this and your door panel removal video, I was able to remove the inner door panel to lubricate my window lowering/raising mechanism, and got it working smoothly again.

  • Thank you very much for your illustrative video.I used your method on Hyundai atos 1998 & was very successful & I did not brake the handle. Thanks to you my friend.

  • Oh, so that's how you do it! I always forced the whole handle through the panel. That's not fun... Thanks for posting!
