It is a design flaw in this line of laptop.

Toshiba deserve a class action law suite against all x205 line.

Add to that the less that trash service by Toshiba or any of their customer service rep.

Just don't buy this laptop or any from Toshiba

Toshiba is a piece of crap. I was sold this Toshiba Satellite L350 by Staples Business Depot.Within a few days of purchase there was a large piece of glue between the display screen and the clear plastic cover.This machine is not a year old:there are now 6 pieces of glue between the display and the clear plastic cover.I called Toshiba customer service and was cut off 4 times.These companies are criminals selling crap for profit margin.The best we can do is not buy from Toshiba or its associates.

Don't buy any more of Toshiba laptop,they are not used to be,quality and reliable.I own 1 in 2003 A65 s126 and is srill working,now I have X205 SLi2 for 3 year and went to download website Toshiba,than my screen went blue screen and went black,only power indicator works and fan running,after I download T-bios from them..before that,the system was working fine,send it in and they refuse to repair and wanted me to paid $345 for new mother board which they post on website.Toshiba is not used to be

I bought this laptop when it first came out and am typing on right it now. The only thing wrong with it is Vista. I had mine outfitted for high end drafting which turns out makes it a great gaming laptop. I just heard him say 2 hard drives. I thought it had one that was partitioned?

if you can find a good cond one under 500$ with no dead pixels get it the sound on this laptop is the best in the buisness. other than that dont waste your money it will blow up.get an alienware or asus or a very good extended warranty like i did my tosh was in the shop 5x in 2 1/2 years piece of crap.

same here im saving up for an m17x dell/alienware has a zero tolerance pixel policy for there m17x my x205 had 2 dead right out of the box drove me nuts how is the sound on the m17 compared to the tosh for music and gaming

I hate toshiba, and their products. I will never buy another laptop from them ever again and i am sending this warning to everyone who is thinking of buying one. I had 4 replacement laptops from toshiba and the 4th one was in service twice. once they put ti together improperly. the second time i got it back with a broken case and scratched lcd screen. now they refuse to repair or replace the system. this is the WORST company and the worst service ever. better luck going with acer or hp

my x205 is 2.0GHz dual core 2 gigs of RAM and Dual Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT's with SLI enabled, and i can run Grid on all high graphics with nolag :D, on COD4 all high graphics theres no motion blur so it runs about 20-25 fps...

Toshiba laptops are very retarded it works fine when i surf the web play wc3 and maple story but when i play starcraft it shuts off every 10 mins and it feels very hot after i feel my cpu so fuck the toshiba im goina smash it with a 200lb ass unless someone can fix this shitty problem

your right, they get really hot and require good ventilation to the gpu and cpu or they will crash. My solution was to buy a laptop cooling pad with built in usb fans. Lol, I guessing when you said "im goina smash it with a 200lb ass" you meant yourself. good luck with the issue dude!
