  • I want to see them live so bad!

  • nice ...

  • 0 dislikes? there's no haters. because people know The Swell Season is amazing. .

  • one of the few songs that sends me straight into another dimension.. too bad I don't smoke weed, I bet the flight would've been more pleasant

  • Super cool. reminds me of the group America from the 70's.. acoustic power and thumping musical freshness. Great

  • Absolutely amazing track: the relentless beat, with the neverending chord changes, the voices an octave apart, really powerful lyrics, totally cool chorus ending.

    Just a dynamic, hypnotic feel.

  • * 1:15

  • This is today for me, and it's giving me a grip on things. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    1:16 is glorious.

  • I've never heard of them until today and every song I've heard sounds GREAT! I'll get that album when I get some money some day...Lol. Beautiful Music..

  • @PabloDeSoto You should watch the indie movie ONCE. It's a fake story but it includes the making of their "album"

  • @CirraPattinson Indie... I know it technically means independent, but it's not really associated with that anymore. Two Door Cinema Club, Ed Sheeran etc are considered "indie."

  • am wondering why the songs called high horses?!

but its just amazing ...!hypnotic song indeed!

  • great song

  • I saw them live in Mesa, Arizona Nov 2009, and they sound just as amazing live. Best show I've been to in along time!

  • I love this song! Perfect voices =D

Greetings from Brazil! Swell Season rulez here!

  • @jh4124 I'm pretty sure he's saying, "Down off your high horses! Let us in! Down off your high horses! Let me in!"

  • @mariamk639 it's "get down off your high horses"

  • I love the Swell Season but this is one of the only Swellie songs I'd love to hear at a Frames show.

  • What kind of night club can you go to hear this type of music? What genre would this be?

  • @teddypgray Indie/folkish kind of music. You'd more so see them at a festival

  • When I saw them in concert last November, he actually intro'd the song as "Come down off your high horse"

  • okay..seriously tho..have you read the lyrics? saddest fucking most beautiful song ever ever ever.

  • I also think this is the best from the album. I get chills just thinking about seeing them perform this song live.

  • One of my favorite song! Amazing album. Amazing band. Good call :)

  • can't wait to see them at bluesfest this summer!!!

  • "come down off, your high horses, let me in....

come down off your high horses, lets begin..."

  • Best live performance I have ever seen.

  • Seing them the 25th in Melbourne, can't wait. Seeing Glen and the Frames regularly is one of the things I miss th most from home

  • mmabagain! They are amazing! You're only saying that because you haven't seen them live! I've just seen them for the second time ever a couple of hours ago. It was truly magical!

  • The reason you will receive thumbs down is because you are voicing your opinion as if it's the only valid opinion here... Your post doesn't read "not amazing or f***ing great in my opinion..."

It reads like a statement of fact. Which it is not.

  • No where did I even hint that my opinion was the only valid one. After my comment, I stated I would get thumbs down for "my opinion". Sorry to hurt your feelings.

  • I didn't say that you did. I'm just pointing out the way your post reads to the average person that stumbles upon it and pointing out that it's not your opinion that will get you the thumbs down but rather how you express it.

And no worries, it would take much more than a comment on youtube to hurt my feelings.

  • Love, love, LOVE this song! And this album! THE best!

  • Fucking great song! Best of the album, I think.

  • "Fucking great song" << well said! This and "In These Arms" are tied as my favorite from the album.

  • GREAT SONG

  • I saw them live last night. Soooo AMAZING (:

This was one of my favorite song that they sang ((:

  • If anyone recorded this song from the ann arbor concert that would be great! I would love to see and hear it again. It was like nothing else when they performed it.

  • best song ever live!!! saw them last night in Ann Arbor. AMAZING!

  • @giefhel Saw them in Ann Arbor last night too! That song was amazing! One of the best concerts ever!

  • @jh4124 I'm pretty sure it's "Get down off your High Horses, Let me in. Let me in."

  • this is amazing:)

  • Well, judging by hearing them sing it live, I think Glen is singing "Come down off your high horses. Let me in/let us in".

Brilliant song. A lot more urgent edge to it, compared to the rest of the album.

  • Yeah I've seen a few live vids and that's definitely the line. I Do love it live too, Glen makes great use of the audiences singing along.

I love the frames too, so I don;t think it's any coincidence that my 3 faves on the album are High horses, the Verb and the Rain

  • yeah i think your right but i think he's sang it differently every now and then but your take seems to be the most common lyrics

  • Thanks for posting, love this song and Marketa's voice is more prominent. 5 stars for the album.

  • This song is pure perfection and gives me chills every time I hear it. Great album overall.

  • My new favorite swell season song.

    Happy Hallowe'en!

    Thanks for the strict joy.

  • @Tuigim Weird how you put this up last hallowe'en, I haven't seen this comment before - then I see it on hallowe'en 2010.
