The recording was made with an handcam recorder, with its internal microphone.

The tune is a little bit under 440, because of using an acient istrument. Maybe around 338...I don't remember exactly. But in my opinion it isn't out of tune, it isn't a standard tuning.

I think Giuliani wrote 2 versions, one with a full orchestra and one for string quartet

the original was for orchestra. The reduction for string quartet was revised by Porrino, but he made a lot of cuts. The recording of the original vesion I like most is the one made by Angel Romero, with Academy of S. Martin in the Fields. Anyway Alex plays it very well!

I can understand why you wanted to sit out front to be able to project the sound without amplifying ... and you do a great job and play the work magnificently. But there's something a bit strange when chamber music players have no eye contact. Even with loads of rehearsal ... washn't there something missing for you? (and them?)

Great playing! I'm working on this concerto right now and I honestly love your playing man, you have real ideas with this piece. True musicianship is harder and harder to find and its refreshing to see a young artist doing such great things keep it up and I hope to see you at a competition some day.

Es una versión deliciosa. Con la reducción a cuarteto de cuerda se consigue una sonoridad de cámara exquisita. El guitarrista estupendo.

The instrument that I've played is a guitar of about the middle of 1800.

It has a great sound! But is not mine :(

The liuther is anonymous (the guitar hasn't the label inside) but the construction is like Lacote guitars.

Ho sentito la tua ottima interpretato per chitarra e quarteto d'archi; tuttavia mi sembra che esista anche una versione del concerto op.30 comprensiva anche dei fiati (adottata dal chitarrista Saggese, ad esempio). Mi sapresti dire qual è la versione che Giuliani aveva composto originariamente?

Sono entrambe originali...Giuliani nella prima esecuzione del concerto lo eseguì cn l'orchestra al completo,tanto che suscitò ammirazione del pubblico e critiche dei puristi per aver affiancato all'orchestra "seria" uno strumento "popolare" come la chitarra.Anche la versione x archi è originali,tanto che noi suoniamocon le parti in copia dell'epoca...Saluti,Alessandro

Grazie della risposta. Posso consigliarti un autore piuttosto trascurato che sarebbe bello da interpretare? Antoine De Lhoyer, autore francese dell'epoca di Giuliani che ha composto dei duetti per chitarra notevoli.

Lo immaginavo. Purtroppo non va per la maggiore, anche se avrebbe tutti i requisiti per essere considerato al livello di Sor o Giuliani. Io suonicchio un pochino e non sono in grado di eseguirli (al massimo riesco a cimentarmi con i preludi di Bach). Tu invece saresti adatto e mi piacerebbe vederli eseguiti da te.
