Wow, Charice looks like she is about to pop here. She has a certain amount of talent and can perform some songs quite well, but she seems to attract a rather overly zealous group of fans, especially from her home country. When they leave comments on other singer's videos they are usually filled with spiteful and hurtful remarks, and, all too often, a lot of vulgar expressions also. Jackie's fans, on the other hand, seem to have a totally different mindset and show respect for others.
@holywells your right there. But there are many Charice fans that show respect for others. But there are also many that do NOT show respect. But us charice fans have posted numerous comments on her videos and i believe some are changing their ways :).
@holywells call it the "Pinoy Pride" mentality. Once something good relating to the Philippines happens, expect most Filipinos to have "Pinoy Pride" mentality. It's one of the worst habits of the Filipino people, but some are respectful and open-minded. I'm a Filipino, but the "Pinoy Pride" mentality annoys me a lot. :)
chasters, keep cool it will not do good to charice, if you will not include all the artists. Charice said in all her interview that she do not want to be compared to her idols. It's heavy load for her if you always do that.
I would like to thank David Foster for sharing. It is very difficult to find good quality singers such as Jackie Evancho. I now know that anything associated with David Foster are music and singers for unsophisticated people. Thanks David Foster for assuming all people would accept this as good quality music. Please go back to Canada and hug a seal!
I hate Charice's FILIPINO fans. They're always flooding videos with their stupid comments as if everyone wants to hear them. Oftentimes, you're doing Charice more harm than good. If Charice is great then you don't need to brag. Let the people see for themselves. You're so annoying. Some of you even resort to quoting famous people just to boast. So pathetic.

1) It is impossible to get rid of;
2) It is not only endemic to Charice but it affects other artists as well.
Go to search box & type "Beyonce vs" & see what u get. U can do this w/ many artists. So long as Charice remains her humble self, she will be fine. & those who don't like Charice cuz of comparisons aren't real fans to begin with. One is a fan of the star, not of the fans - LOL.

Just watched this show on PBS. Wow!!! What a wealth of talent! I especially enjoyed Lara Fabien's 'Caruso', Charice doing Celine, and the Donna Summer and Seal duet was FANTASTIC. What a great pairing. Guess that's why Foster is 'The Hit-Man'. Donna, over thirty years in the business and she still looks and sounds WONDERFUL. Overall a great show with real (non auto-tuned) talent. Kudos and instead of comparing the talent of the young ones how about we just enjoy the beautiful MUSIC!!!
FYI, David also said that about Charice, about how she defies all logic (re: Jackie). It was during a spiel he had after she performed a song in one of the private events. It's all the same.
There is no such word as "best singer". There maybe a better singer but still, he/she cannot be the best because GOD distributed the talent of singing not only to ONE people, but to MANY people!
Charice, Jackie, Donna Summer, Chaka Khan , etc.. are ALL GREAT singers! In short., all of David Foster's guests are the BEST! Not just Jackie, not just Charice... but all of them!
Greetings every one one that love quality music! Jackie Evancho's 'Huston Concert' brought down the house-she becoming an perfections par-none. Every song she did received standing ovation; Nessa Dorma song-brought down the house! one patron commented that her high notes shook! and rattled the stain glass windows--WOW! Impressive! in one of her songs-it was reported she held a ending note-like 17 to 25 second-just terrific. She is literally on her way to super-stardom, Ms. Jackie's time-2 shine
It appalls me to see all of the comments about Charice here. She is AMAZING!! But the competitive nature of her fanatics is disgusting. The comments making comparisons can only be a detriment to her ambition to be the best person she can be.
WOW, I just watched the DVD start to finish. This thing is just incredible !!! So many amazing acts. Folks, do yourseleves a favor and just buy this DVD.!!!

David Foster is incredible both as a person as I can tell and a musician and producer. Any song he has ever written became a a huge hit ( Hence the "hit man" nickname ) Any singer he discovered became an international success fast and permanently ! And he even has a life and everyone who known him likes him...wow what a life he has ! He has a great personality, he has given so much for our ears to enjoy. Foster is truly amazing no wonder all the awards for him, 15 grammies and more !

it's harder for Charice to be recognized in the US because she's an Asian.. Even though Charice is really talented, many people are still racist and will find it hard to accept someone who came from a very poor Asian country like the Philippines. If Charice is an American, maybe she's more famous than Justine Bieber right now.

The voice/instrument of Jackie Evancho is a wonderful and beautiful thing to experience. To watch her sing/perform is an 'out of this world' experience. The experience is so precious and in a realm of experience so set apart from the everyday norm that it overpowers the emotions of almost all that hear and appreciate her singing.
I doubt anyone will ever elicit the awe and wonder that Jackie Evancho presents every time she sings. We are truly witnessing a miracle of voice and spirit in this little girl. W W

Jackie was a girl-on-fire that evening. Even the Charistas stood-up and cheered (I know. I was surrounded by them!). IMHO, this show was when DFoz put her under his other wing. Good things do come in small packages...

There is no such word as "best singer". There maybe a better singer but still, he/she cannot be the best because GOD distributed the talent of singing not only to ONE people, but to MANY people!

Greetings every one one that love quality music! Jackie Evancho's 'Huston Concert' brought down the house-she becoming an perfections par-none. Every song she did received standing ovation; Nessa Dorma song-brought down the house! one patron commented that her high notes shook! and rattled the stain glass windows--WOW! Impressive! in one of her songs-it was reported she held a ending note-like 17 to 25 second-just terrific. She is literally on her way to super-stardom, Ms. Jackie's time-2 shine

David Foster is incredible both as a person as I can tell and a musician and producer. Any song he has ever written became a a huge hit ( Hence the "hit man" nickname ) Any singer he discovered became an international success fast and permanently ! And he even has a life and everyone who known him likes him...wow what a life he has ! He has a great personality, he has given so much for our ears to enjoy. Foster is truly amazing no wonder all the awards for him, 15 grammies and more !

it's harder for Charice to be recognized in the US because she's an Asian.. Even though Charice is really talented, many people are still racist and will find it hard to accept someone who came from a very poor Asian country like the Philippines. If Charice is an American, maybe she's more famous than Justine Bieber right now.

Jackie's great but i think it won't be 4 long, i mean people R fond of her coz she's small wid a big voice but when she gets older i don't think people will still embrace her music wc is classical, same goes wid charice, people R amazed by her when she was small coz of her big voice, but now dat she's grown up it's no longer a big deal, people R more likely 2 buy the album of those auto-tuned artists coz of the catchy tunes. dat's Y charice's upcoming 2nd album focused more on rnb & dance tunes.

Dont underestimate the classical audience and her appeal. Her Christmas cd sold over a million copies in seven weeks.

Also, great Catholic songs and music, no matter which classical singer sang them, can inspire any normal person or even move them to tears. Check the internet for Pie Jesu, Ave Maria, Panis Angelicus, Ave Verum, etc. sang by various classical singers. I hope you're familiar with these great compositions.

Charice is very good, but Miss Jackie Evancho is simply the best over all. A pitch perfect singer-no one can compare with her ability to reach your heart and soul. I agree with Hit-man David Foster--I have never seen any thing like Jackie Evancho, in my + 50 years, Period!
P.S.-The thing is about Miss Jackie Is: she is getting better as we speak! she is scary!

Jackie was a girl-on-fire that evening. Even the Charistas stood-up and cheered (I know. I was surrounded by them!). IMHO, this show was when DFoz put her under his other wing. Good things do come in small packages...

Great show in Vegas last October. I have already ordered my CD & Blu-ray and will be checking my TV listings for the PBS special in March as they often have extra interviews with David Foster and other performers. Charice was interviewed in the last record breaking PBS special in 2008
