Ultimately, our common language is the language of the Jewish people - Hebrew. It is for this reason that it is critical that we all, adults and children, continue grow in our knowledge of the Hebrew language, to be able to read and understand our sacred texts, poetry, literature, in its original language, to hear it, to speak it, to hear ourselves speak it, and to sing and dance and use Hebrew in our daily lives. It is really empowering to make even incremental advances toward this goal.
