The role that Marvin was born to play and play it he did in spades,. I doubt there has been a more believable portrayal in filmdom and thats a big call but one i,ll happily stick with. Such was Marvin talent a brand of which we have not seen since and its doubtful ever will. A one off icon that was born to play the hardnosed no nonsense type roles he made his own. Nobody around these days who comes even close.
This was supposed to have been NBC's first two-hour "made-for-TV" movie, intended to be presented as a "World Premiere Movie" on "SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES" in the fall of 1964. But the network rejected the film on the grounds it was "too violent"; instead, it was released thetarically.
Inside the Reagan Library they have a "movie room" showing all his movies -- except "The Killers". It was Reagan's best film performance -- playing a total unscrupulous dirtbag.
Classic film. Miss the days when films had real cool male actors to look up to as a kid. Eastwood, Marvin, Bronson, McQueen. Now all we have moronic wannabe men. wimpy teenagers. Ill stick with my dvds of the legends!!

Im getting this on BetaMax. Those driving(racing) scenes are incredible.
They need to do a remake with Amy Winehouse in the role of Angie Dickinson.
