  • Why do i feel that Colin Lygren was more excited by the "Boot Sale" @0:23 than the actually news story.

  • It's women who benefit THE MOST from gun ownership, and it's women who have the most to gain by supporting the second amendment.

  • This woman should be given a small reward from the state for preventing the legal system and prison costs being imposed if this asshole survived. Well done to her for killing him outright, what else should a burgler expect in a country with so many guns?

  • most probably the intruder escape after 2 shots..this guy could have heard the shot n wanted 2 check it out n most likely 2 help anyone in trouble but mistaken 4 d intruder....

  • HERO

  • @kyleelliott90

"Appears to be" is said because the investigation of the incident was still underway at the time.

  • Of course its justified you DUMBASS!

  • Good For Her. She did the right thing.

  • Good For Her. She did the right thing.

  • Good For Her. She did the right thing.

  • there was more to this murder, than is told here reding po-lice legal ploy, there gang will shoot you if you try to drive off, calling the car a deadly wepon,an gang of po-lice were endangered by you runnin from the lic.to kill gang/hea its payed leave vacation

  • guy looked like a real piece of work.Good riddance darwinian!

  • ok so you can kill an intruder, but what if you don't have a gun, can you like beat him to death,

stab him, hang him, through him in the tub and drop a toaster in it. just wondering.

    please reply.

    ps i live in Califronia.

  • @micheljr17 I think you can IF they are INSIDE your house!!!

  • @micheljr17 no you should just wait there and let the intruder do what ever he wants to you. As you know, once he enters your house in cali it is legally his house as well now, so if he wants to rape and kill you that iss tough luck in cali...but do not use any defense because you do not want to harm the un welcomed rapist murderer guest.

  • One more dirtbag POS leach draining our resources is dead! Whhhoooppeee! May he rot in a shallow grave for eternity.

  • Is it possible for the home owner to file suit against the prison which educated the home invader?

  • He was warned, I wonder what caliber she used - those were decent sized holes in that window.

  • I admit, having the public able to defend themselves with guns is a good thing, the statistics of course prove it. But there aren't any statistics to show if legal gun purchasers end up selling guns in illegal sales to criminals. How can you ensure a person with a gun license is not going to help sell guns to criminals? And what is to stop a legal gun owner from committing a crime?

  • @Sun6Tzu Is this really the best objection you can come up with? Why would a legal homeoowner sell guns to criminals? Stolen guns (like all stolen property) obviously sell for less than the person can legally buy guns for. Stolen property always sells for cut rate prices. There aren't any stats shoing lawbiding citizens selling lawful guns to criminals at cut-rate prices, but you still find a reason to object, instead of applauding a gun owner who obviously used a gun to protect herself.

  • @Sun6Tzu

How can you ensure that legal prescriptions are not sold to criminals? You can't.

What is to stop anyone from doing anything? Nothing.

I've never went on a mass murdering spree with any of my 14 guns because I know it's wrong, and well prison for the rest of my life doesn't seem that great. :P

  • I'm sorry but if you try to harm me or my family I WILL become a stone cold killer.Won't have a bit of remorse.

  • All of these ridiculous hard-ass comments about wasting warning shots and "good job he's dead" attitudes. Unless you were a socio-path you too would feel horribly guilty like this poor woman who was forced to defend herself. So why not just keep your asinine comments to yourself, if you want to act like a tough guy stick to your xbox smack talk.

  • @burningbum

The idea over not firing a warning shot is that it can be considered an act of deadly force.

The idea is that the shot you fire has to go somewhere. If a warning shot hits a bystander, then it'll be whomever fired that shot who'll be held responsible.

The shot should only be made if you've made the choice to kill.

But, I agree with you about comments over the heartless praising of the death of a person.

All I can say is that the woman did what she had to do to defend herself.

  • @burningbum Why should a person feel bad for protecting themselves against someone who is trying to hurt them. Human or not a threat is a threat and shooting a scumbag who is trying to hurt me in self defense is not a guilt worth act in my book. "good job he's dead" is the message we need to send to those scumbags. We need to send a message to them that says "we will kill your ass if you try to hurt us, and we won't feel bad about it" That's the only thing that will stop them.

  • Good job. Don't waste rounds on negligent warning shots, though.

  • Warning shots are dangerous. Tell them to leave thats all they should get.

Who knows were those bullets went. Hopefully they didnt kill innocent bystanders. If they did she will get manslaughter.

  • dude looks like he was on meth..

  • Warning shots aside, this woman did what anyone that carries or keeps in the home for protection would have done. Those of us that own or carry a firearm pray that we will NEVER have to use it! I'll risk assuming that even after the "warning" shots, his return to the home put her life in serious harm. I for one am glad she is still alive..

  • "...She feels horrible that someone died at her hands." As would any "normal" person. But, would she have felt better if she had opened the door for him? When it comes down to good guy / bad guy, it should ALWAYS be the good guy (or woeman in this case) coming out alive!

I have to agree with one other comment here, Where did the two "warning shot" bullets end up?

  • Waste of a warning shot. She could have saved that bullet for another idiot.

  • in new mexico that woman would have been convicted of felonious first-degree murder and sentenced to life. im glad a few states out there still let people defend themselves

  • Meth is a 'make me stupid' drug ain't it?

  • Trying to break in @ 4am -fired a warning shot then he came back - lol of course thats justified

  • Thank God she was in her home and now out on the street considering Commiefornia's draconian gun laws and almost non-issuance of carry permits. She would certainly be in a worse situation. I hope one day Californians can be free again.

  • "She fired two warning shots through the window, the man left....but immediately came back. " I think this idiot is a clear candidate for the Darwin Award.

  • I want to buy her a case of ammo.

  • So because hes white there s no racists comments? just shows how theres bad ppl in every race.

  • @40calbigJ a good that this white scum got it! Feeling better now?

  • @40calbigJ Racist comments of any kind are removed from these videos.

  • @TheArmedCitizen Can you upload the video of a clerk shooting two robbers from Houston?

  • What did the warning shots hit? Also, blah blah blah don't fire warning shots blah some legal stuff blah know what's behind your target.

  • Way to go granny!

  • I believe in always firing warning shots. Shoot the first idiot as a warning to the others.

  • I'm glad the scum is dead and the woman is alive! As for me I would not waste a round or rounds on a "warning shot".

Is there a "duty to retreat" in CA? Where I live there is the "castle doctrine" if the bad guy is in you house or curtilage you can turn him into a lead mine.

  • "Justified" - That's What I'm Talking About!

  • Sometimes I watch this channel to get myself past the temptation to stop carrying my firearm. This helps to resist the old "oh...I'm sure nothing will happen today, why carry my gun?" No, no, no...carry it every day you never know when you will need it - hopefully never!

  • Good person - Alive

    Bad person - DEAD!

    Justice is served!

  • I'm glad her story had a happy ending.

  • If that guy was dumb enough not to leave after the warning shots, he definitely deserved what he got.

  • Lets hope the good old state of California doesnt try to throw the lady in jail for defending herself.

  • @romneymustwin2012. You are an idiot. He chose to cross that line after she warned him. He deserves what he got. So I guess if he was breaking into your home you would offer him coffee. Get real. First two shots should've been in the chest. Im glad she stepped up and took control of her life.

  • Good job granny!! Keepin' the neighborhood safe! :-)

  • That was one crazy crack head. He's in a better place now thanks to Granny.

  • This is why I HATE LOCAL NEWS:

So the lady does not want to be on camera!

    So the local news:

    1) Shows her home

    2) Gives her name

    3) Show her neighbor

Now, anybody in the local Redding area can now find her!

    WTF local news!

  • @Romneymustwin2012 all I have to say is... SHUT UP!

  • 2nd Amendment... weeding out criminals one justified bullet at a time :)

  • @daddyoca69 Calm down I was just naming some laws California had/has that limits gun usage. When did I ever say you needed an Ar-15 to protect yourself? I have a Mosin-Nagant 91/59 under my bed right now, and its perfectly fine for protecting myself.

  • @FrackleRackle lol I was responding to the laws you say hinder people from protecting themselves.. I have lived in Nor Cal all my life and never had a issue with Cali's gun laws in order to protect myself..

  • @daddyoca69 I never said anything about people not being able to protect themselves in my first post

  • You know, if every single person was shot for trying to steal something from another person, we wouldn't have any more thieves.

  • He came back after two warning shots??!! He should be nominated for the Darwin Award!

  • Pretty amazing that they didn't try to prosecute the woman for SOMETHING. I would've expected them to try to charge her with unlawful discharge of a firearm or something along those lines for those first two warning shots. Given, who knows where those stray shots could've wound up - maybe going into a neighbor's home (or a neighbor!). Still, it's good to see they didn't try to treat the homeowner like a criminal and the intruder as a victim, as they so often do.

  • Clearly, the police could not respond fast enough to protect her, so she had to exercise her second amendment right. Anyone that gets shot at and immediately returns is clearly up to NO GOOD. She had every right to fear for her life in that situation. Keeping the law-abiding citizens breathing and putting the non-law abiding in jail or in the ground makes this world a safer place for all. God bless her!

  • @Romneymustwin2012 SERIOUSLY?! The guy was trying to BREAK INTO HER HOME. THAT is not "innocent", that is breaking the law. And it was 4am, and he had been shot at and CHOSE to return and continue to break the law. The police clearly couldn't get there fast enough to protect her. And how is breaking into a home at 4am "trying to be reintegrated into society"?!

  • @Romneymustwin2012 No surprise you're a Romney supporter. You hate everything about the principles of self ownership and inherent justice. You are so appalled at the use of force that you're going to call the people with all the guns in the world and a monopoly on violent force to exact your brand of justice. Coward justice. Slave justice. You will never be anything more than a Citizen, a number, livestock, prey. I am ashamed. That society produced an army of addled children.

  • @Romneymustwin2012 You are disgusting, this woman was defending herself and everything she worked hard to make from a home intruder. If that man wanted help getting "reintegrated" into society, he would have gone to professionals. You should be ashamed of yourself, had that woman not acted, she could have been raped, killed and had everything taken from her. Is that what you want? Some meth or crack addicted moron breaking into her house and murdering her? I bet you would.

  • @Romneymustwin2012 Wow! You are totally insane. If you ever need "help" as you call it, don't ever come to my house.

  • @Romneymustwin2012

Hello kids, this is what we call a 'troll". T-R-O-L-L. Say it with me..."Troll." Very good, class.

  • @Romneymustwin2012 Your an idiot. So you would just let that deviant break in and do whatever to you and your family. If it was me the first two shots would have been in his dome. Get your gun permit and learn your local and state laws. I refuse to be a victim. These days its protect yourself or die. The cops are too busy at Dunkin Donuts, or parked on some dead end road collecting overtime. Cops don't solve crime they only take reports or write speeding tickets.

  • @Romneymustwin2012

Go ahead and launch you pitiful attempt at "detaining" this woman,...you'll lose FAIL

  • @Romneymustwin2012 Uh I believe that I will do my duty as a Citizen and contact your local district Judge, Sheriff's and Politicians, and have your daddy arrested for not whacking off in the toilet the night you were conceived because that would have saved all of us from another DUMBASS....Geezz....

  • two warning shots and he still tried to get in the house?....not the brightest person huh?...im glad she defended herself, im just sorry that she was so frightened...you did nothing wrong M'am; you, nor anyone else for that matter, knows what this guy wanted, but i can tell you he was going through extremities to try and get it from you.

  • Great

  • it would appear she used just the right amount of force needed to neutralize the situation permanetly good fer her although i do believe the warning shots should of been in his forehead if firing them makes her sleep better then thats why we live in a free country for now even though commiefornia is doing everything it can to cater to those who do no telling what all to an old woman late at night

  • Excellent, love TheArmedCitizen Channel!

Imagine if she hadn't have been armed.

There are a lot of meth-heads in my area, and two of them tried to break into my house one time. I heard them whispering in the front yard, debating how they would enter my house. I promptly chambered a round in my 12 gauge *CHH-CHH* and they were out of there

I can't imagine what kind of idiot survives two warning shots and then comes back. He will not be missed!

  • @CaliforniaCarpenter7 maybe he felt guilty for all the oxygen and other resources his worthless has been wasting for 37 years.

  • Meanwhile, the state government of California is doing more and more to remove guns from people. :(

  • @GeronKizan like what?

  • @daddyoca69 They hace stricter laws than other states, for example you need a "bullet button" for some rifles. (sorry if thats the wrong term) (google it)

Also, open carry guns need to be unloaded

  • GodBless you, Donna Harper.

    =

Way to take care of yourself...

  • **applaud** good work M'am.

  • I would like to volunteer to clean her gun and replace her bullets.

  • Preditor becomes prey.

  • I'd be proud of myself for stopping a piece of crap intruder permanently.

  • good for her, the guy must have been on drugs if she shot twice and he still came back

  • she fired two warning shots what more do you want lol

  • "Do not be afraid of any man, no matter what his size. Just call on me in time of need, and I will EQUALIZE."

  • Comment removed

  • She should be thankful she's alive and well.

  • The State should thank her for saving them the money of trying and incarcerating.

  • @emmy1cat THANK GOD the Guns okay!

  • First

  • bless her
