What a great car and the most horrible speakers!@#$ Oh my God, please remove this. video. I know you guys busted your hump and were so nervous. But still. I'm sitting here with my jaw on the floor.
this is midsized car, it shouldnt be competing against compact sized cars. this is definately a benchmark with fusion, camry, malibu, altima, mazda6, passat, and sonata.... i think this is one of the best midsized cars in terms of engine and looks..... this kizashi looks as good as a mazda6, e-class or a sonata in my opinion, but looks way better than fusion, camry, altima, and passat.
just test drove it for the first time. first of all it looks better from the outside even more in person. the interior is very good quality but oddly it didn't feel like a Japanese car interior, BMW 3 series comes to mind. The CVT and the paddle shifters were very good. The engine is a little buzzy but has adequate performance.
Yeah the paddle shift is just a throw on, some people that have test driven the car actually liked the paddle shift feature on the Kizashi. I don't feel it's necessary, but apparently some people like it. The V6 version of Kizashi won't have CVT, they say it's gonne be a regular 6-speed automatic instead.
People like the paddle shifters because the CVT sucks for spirited driving. At least the paddle shifters allow some control over RPM even though they're not true manual.
@ejuoi i was wondering why would you add paddle shifters to a transmission that doesnt have "gears" while you should add paddle shifters to a transmission that does have gears. isnt a CVT an automatic transmission that just revs and revs without switching gears? (similar to the analogy of two cones with friction and some rubber to transfer power from one cone to another)
because this CVT is not really good if you're trying to have any kind of sport driving, partly because the car only has about 175 HP. the paddle shifters allow for better rpm control. this car really needs the V6 though, badly.
@ejuoi When in Manual Mode, the ctv with paddle shifters does provide a true manual transmission, everything but the clutch. Also, the CVT has 180 hp, 5 speed has 185. There is no V6 in the works currently, but a hybrid will be out next year.
@ejuoi That was the GM High Feature V6 and that has been cancelled due to GM and Suzuki parting ways. Rigth now it appears more likely that Suzuki will produce an in-house turbo-4, although they are now reviewing possibilities of a VolksWagen small V6 powerplant if it can be done in a cost effective manner.
It's just a different body kit. The body kit you see on the tan one will most likely come on the V6 Kizashi, and possibly as an option on the other levels too but later in the year.

Why do you need AWD? No im serious.... why? RWD is best at most, especially since Suzuki doesnt even have any cars over 200hp. FWD suits the job perfect and no daily driver will ever feel the difference. Id rather get more horsepower than AWD.
That was so frustrating. He tried his darnd'st, but you had the wrong person doing it. (no offense) You needed someone to sell it.... believe in it.. Please dont leave the United States!!
suzuki should learn how to sell their products. this was one of the most boring presentations I have ever seen. The brand touch points were bad. Let some engineers promote do the talking and the results are statistical again. Come on I like the car, just sound simple and we'd like it more. Don't try to explain what bluetooth is.

There is no way this car compares with a Corolla, Civic, Focus, Forte. Maybe in brands but not by type. The Suzuki engineers would probably put a sword in themselves if they heard this review. Their benchmark was the AlfaRomeo, Acura, TSX, and Passat.
Hmmmm well I don't think Suzuki design engineers would have any problem with professional reviewers finding that Kizashi stands above Corolla, Civic, Focus, Forte, even though Kizashi was benchmarked agaist AR, TSX, and Passat. That statement by the reviewer was based on his (as well as many others) opinion that regardless of how Suzuki is marketing Kizashi, the cars that it will also inevidably go up against are the ones mentioned above because of similar pricing.
Priced in the low 20's, the car is a lot of bang for the buck and honestly, the first sub 30K Asian car with a suspension that truly feels and performs like a true German setup. -AutoSpies-
If this car performs like they say it does it would have more value and 10-15K cheaper than the competition. Sliver looks nice on this, can't wait to try it.

Why do they design a hot concept... and then downgrade it to look like this cheap and tacky version. Suzuki is percieved very bably in Europe. I thought the this model would be the machine to bring them upmarket. But Instead suzuki yet again failed
The exterior looks alright. Inside looks great. looks like a fantastic deal. With the sx4 sportback, the swift, and this car Suzuki is really going to expand in the US.

The genuis at Suzuki decided to name the car the Kizashi but this name sounds a lot like the food maker Kashi .Now I know a lot of names sound similar to each other but does Suzuki really want their car to be associated with a granola bar? Maybe they might be on to something though. I mean if this car and it's "breakfast bar " name becomes a hit then maybe American cars can be named after food companies too. We could have the General Motors General Mills or maybe the Ford Kelloggs Frosted Flake.
I like this car, and the New Equator. They are both vehicles that I would very seriously consider buying! Finally Suzuki is looking at the US market seriously. The US is finally being forced to follow European and Japanese transportation standards trends...I see this as a good thing. Like that presenter said, it's a good thing that people are thinking more economically. Don't get me wrong, there is NOTHING wrong with a 500 hp v8, IF you're going to put it to use! But if not, get a 4 cylinder...
kgriggs8: Who do you think built You Tube, you idiot!? Computer Programmers! You just complimented the car without even knowing it, because you are just THAT stupid, lol. Computer programmers make a lot of money. They drive upscale cars. And you just said it looks like something one of them would drive. This is EXACTLY what Suzuki wants this car to be viewed as. Congratulations, you get the Darwin Award of the day! Now do us all a favor; go and kill yourself and prove Charles right!

Boring video! WHo the hell cares what this guy says? Just give us the specs! The front reminds me of Audi and VW with a Superman "S" in the grill. The silver car looks great! I'm actually very impressed with Suzuki. I would buy this if it was cheaper than all the other sedans! Finally, a Japanese car with very good proportions and lines! Not original front, but looks good. Give it a 6 speed, 200+ HP, good suspension, and it's a great buy! I drive a MazSpeed 3 but I like this sedan!
damm that looks good and premium, they stole the dash speedometer shape from the volkswagen golf, and the front mimics the 2007 volkswagen passat, but hey no hating here it looks good and premium! and big! now i wonder what the price will be i bet a big let down it wont cost cheap
