@PhioenixPinion it means it is plugged in, since it is hooked up to your console it never needs to be charged. It takes the power from your console (no need for charging/batteries) hope that helps :)

have had two of these in a matter of 6 months....both mics did the same thing in which the actual extension of the mic stopped working....could still hear things but no one could hear you.....found a motorola headset priced at $70 but found on ebay for $25....overall i would say this is a good mic for someone who doesnt play much....DEFINATLY NOT OF A BIG AND EXPERIENCED GAMER!!!

@ultvegeta @ultvegeta This is my best guess to see if its you or him. Go to Setting > Acessoreis > Voice Changer. This way you should be able to test your self. Test the mic by talking into it and see if what he says occurs. If it still is happening on your own, i'm pretty sure it is the mic. Try talking to other people, ask if the same thing is happening, if they say no, its your friend you were playing re5. Or maybe for some werid reason it just doesn't like that game.

@ultvegeta If it works for your properly but not for other people. It could be glitching for all we know. If you have personal friend with a mic use there's and see it works. If everything does work, i suppose it would be the mic. It has a 90- day warranty, so hopefully if all hope is lost possibly exchange it or just replace it with the same headset. Not entirely sure on the matter but good lucks and hope your problem is finally resolved.

When the indicator light is solid, it means that the mic is plugged in, but is not set to work., so mostly it will be solid on the PS3 control panel (screen when you cut on the PS3) and when the accessory settings are not set to recognize the headset. (Don't know if you still need this information because its been 5 months, but still.)

Vista might give you more problems with compatibility because that's pretty much what it's known for. Make sure you plugged it in all the way and what are you using it for? Videos, gaming, what?
