  • @deboraborialis get a life you fucking whore get the fuck out of this video if your gonna be a negitive bitch assholeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @ilovedogsssss1 What a keyboard hard man you are! Maybe you need a hobby, other than swearing at strangers on the internet.

  • Is it still called swimming when your feet are on the bottom? Very cute though.

  • @deboraborialis um hes a chimp its pretty amazing that he can even go underwater so i think its okay that hes standing #ihateassholes

  • you taught it to overcome it's fear of water.. when that thing freaks out, where will you run to?

  • the monkeys in the planet of the apes couldn't swim! WTF!

  • "Help me, Help me, Help me, Help me, Help me, Help me, AAAHHH!" Live Action! XP

  • Not swimming, Just walking in water and holding breath........

Their larger 'muscle to fat ratio' than humans prevent swimming, they sink.

Even if they are trained to over come their fear of water, its too much effort to stay

near the top of the water

  • @Dogeese I always thought it was the density of their bones that made them sink..

  • @Somai82 Bone density doesnt differ that much im guessing, just the size of the bones.

eg elephants are really good swimmers despite their huge bone & muscle sizes, due to its body fat.

Fats (which are basically oils depending on temperature) are less dense than water and help the body float. Muscle isnt heavier than Fat per se, just same weight of each take up different amount of space

ie density = weight / volume. so muscle sinks due to its high density displacing more water

  • @Dogeese what if u add a light oxygen tank over their backs so that they float then u give them a snorkeling pipe thing and then teach them the technique?

  • it's sheldon cooper!

  • lucky chimp to be near that hottie with gorgeos boobs... :)

  • WOW!!

  • want one where did u get him/her ?????????

  • lady is hot

  • How did you end up with a chimp in your home? This was incredibly dangerous, that chimp could tear that lady on the pool apart.

  • @ricarleite

    said the expert on chimps

    :D

  • Great video. Kerry watched his big brother on the computer...now he is beginning to get in the pool scaring us to death!

  • ...there was me wondering if a chimp can swim and the whole of the internet says they can't but I guess Cooper proves them wrong! Go Cooper!

Have you got a video of him swimming? Can he swim in the deep end? It looked to me like he could tread water pretty well.

Amazing stuff. Would love to see more.

  • Hi

I am writing a PhD on orangutans and chimpanzees interaction with water, and I would like very much to contact you. Could you please write me?
