@Somai82 Bone density doesnt differ that much im guessing, just the size of the bones.
eg elephants are really good swimmers despite their huge bone & muscle sizes, due to its body fat.
Fats (which are basically oils depending on temperature) are less dense than water and help the body float. Muscle isnt heavier than Fat per se, just same weight of each take up different amount of space
ie density = weight / volume. so muscle sinks due to its high density displacing more water
@Dogeese what if u add a light oxygen tank over their backs so that they float then u give them a snorkeling pipe thing and then teach them the technique?
hope he doesn't poop

Not swimming, Just walking in water and holding breath........
Their larger 'muscle to fat ratio' than humans prevent swimming, they sink.
Even if they are trained to over come their fear of water, its too much effort to stay
near the top of the water

@Dogeese I always thought it was the density of their bones that made them sink..

How did you end up with a chimp in your home? This was incredibly dangerous, that chimp could tear that lady on the pool apart.

...there was me wondering if a chimp can swim and the whole of the internet says they can't but I guess Cooper proves them wrong! Go Cooper!
Have you got a video of him swimming? Can he swim in the deep end? It looked to me like he could tread water pretty well.
Amazing stuff. Would love to see more.
