I got a Windows Formatted iPod just because I Use it as an External HD.
And my album artworks are all messed up. For ex. I choose to play Led Zeppelin and it shows me An album artwork from Kraftwerk. That sux, I'm stuck with the FAT
they should make it NTFS then (if they can get the license from MS) NTFS is faster than HFS+ by...alot like for an average 10 gig file it only takes 10-11 min's (this is all on a mini running bootcamp) while the mac side (OSX) takes 16 almost 17 minutes, which is fucking long...and its hfs+ not mac formatted
it shows how slow the windoes formatted iPod takes to load songs and album art vs the mac formmated version which loads files quicker. coincidence? i think not.
the music on that ipod is well......lets just say colourful.

The same thing for me. And BTW I wish Rockbox worked on HFS+ iPods.

NTFS may be faster, but it's less superior to HFS+ (Journaled).
Minimum91 3 years ago
yes...but do you REALLY need Journaling in an IPOD? honestly...
Br8ssface 3 years ago
Not really, But I need it if I want to install Leopard on it for some reason, but then again, there is no reason to do that.
Minimum91 3 years ago
ya...so no reason...which is why we need NTFS for teh ipod...somehow...
Br8ssface 3 years ago
Possible. Does NTFS Mount on Macs? I know they show up, but you can't do anything with them.
Minimum91 3 years ago
no...apple would have to get MS to license them the NTFS+ file system shit...which wont happen...ever...
Br8ssface 3 years ago
Probably, But maybe a Plug-in will come out some day, witch was not made by Apple.

Wait a minute, ...
