I don't completely agree, I don't think Anette should sing old nightwish songs, not made for her voice. Though, I don't think Tarja would sing Bye Bye Beautiful or Amaranth as great as Anette does.

This one of the best concerts she's done! All the vids of live in Copenhagen she's awesome, you can hear her really clear, she belts out Dark Chest of Wonders, Nails nemo and Ever dream, and wish I had an angel is like she's been singin it for years!!! I'm totally convinced after listening to these live vids she can handle the old songs extremly well, I love the way she belts the songs out, and the way she changes the tune slightly is well better!

She does a great job! Its been stated about 50 times already, but most of these songs were written for a different style singer (obivously) so for Anette to even sing them in the first place takes a lot! good job!

Still, Anette's note-hitting has improved. But they should stop performing this song live. It's pointless without the operatic touch. This is one of the songs which was very clearly written for Tarja's voice, but Anette pulls off this alternative version VERY well... And if you listen closely to how Tarja sings the chorus herself on a live stage, she isn't nearly as high up as you'd believe...

well, the term "proffessional", I'd say, doesn't fir this case really well. Tarja's voice was different IN THIS GENRE. That's the whole deal. actually, Anette could be even more professional than Tarja, because she's been singing for like 20 years now, while Tarja, for 15 or so. So that's not really the term. But, of course, nowadays, non-classical singers are more numerous than operatic ones, so the last ones are more appreciated, somehow.
The intro starts. You know it's coming. The crowd is ready to explode. The show is ending soon, people are really in it now. It seems the temperature got up 10 degrees at least. Anette starts singing. People scream along the lyrics, more intensively at each verse. You can feel a very,very powerful energy in the place. It's overhelming. Then the music starts. Everyone get crazy and start jumping. You're in a wonderful world for 4 minutes.
Yeah! Annete her voice can tell stories, and is more intense then what Tarja brings, wich is very good, but I think Annete is better - her voice sounds more humanly, more natural... and she has the crowd on her hands!
Yeah, I totally agree! I was at this show in Copenhagen and this was one of the last songs, actually the last one I think, and my feet were hurting and I was tired from travelling all the way from Jutland by train, but this song totally got me going and when the concert was ending I was above the skies.
Anette would do just fine in Within Temptation or Evanescence...but why did she had to end up in Nightwish? ok she's sweet and stuff but I just can't stand the way she just...kills the song

Everyone, take anitakyoyama as a perfect example to illustrate the Tarja worship-ness. She got to the point to hate everything that has to do with Nightwish, only because of Tarja's sacking.And none can deny that. It's not Anette, it's not the vocals, it's this problem that can't get out of her head. Because she even picked on the chorus, which we really can't complain about. I don't need my ears to be cleaned. Maybe others do. :)
Have you even gone and seen her perform it live? Cause from that it sounds like you haven't. Once you go see her live you'll see how amazing she is. This video is awesome as well... so go see her live and then tell us what you think...

I don't care what anyone says about Anette. I saw her live in early november when they were on tour in the U.S. and you know what, she was FANTASTIC! I was lucky enough to previously catch nightwish on tour back in 2005 with tarja and I gotta give em their props, they rocked, but Anette was great in her new style.
There no thing as copying Tarja in her style. She is a very very very good singer, not as good as Tarja but to think that a calm man as Holopainen kicked her of the band mean that she must have been treating the band like sh*t! And they aint stupid, damn trust them, they ARE Nightwish and not Tarja, they chose Annete, just accept it
I think she is screaming the song... not precisly singing... and the original one is great, you must hear slaying the dreamer... she's trying to copy Tarja... too bad.
Firstly, she's not screaming, that's called belting which is one of countless singing styles. And secondly: trying to copy tarja? Hum, that's pretty stupid claim, I must say. The only song, where Anette is really screaming, is in the end of Slaying the Dreamer and Tarja never screamed that part. And Anette is singing in her own way, not in classical way.
And it´s a kind of respect against Tarja, beause the guys know that she is the best as operatic singer in metal. The only way to replace her was to find somone with a totally other voice. And just that they did with Annette.
They adapted it as best they could, I mean if we go back to all bands who changed their singers, the styles can make some classics lack. Black Sabbath - paranoid with dio, Iron maiden - the trooper with Blaze. The new stuff sounds excellent so I can forgive some misgivings on the older material, and this sone was always tough, even for Tarja

la verdad que tenes toda la razon!!! cuando la escuche en israel realmente me dio mucha pena, por que el publico de nightwish clasico osea con tarja se la iba a deborar cruda, pero ahora escuchando este video me doy cuenta que mejoro muy buena!!!

definitivamente esta aprendiendo...esta acoplando las canciones a su rango vocal y a su estilo...por ejemplo en Nightwish - Wishmaster - live in israel 2007 parecia q a un gato le habian pisado la cola...sin embargo ahora es diferente...bien Annette...ya dejemos de lado kien es mejor cada una tiene su estilo..dejen a Tarja y a Annete en paz...

Ohhh!! Nightwish you're the best!! Anette I absolutely love your voice in this!! It's better Than Tarja's soprano Opera in this one! wide-Eyed! In this One! Because In Nemo you suck!! And Tarja stays higher! But Anette Cooled me out!!!

well I'm not convinced that her voice is BETTER THAN tarjas. she sings differently - not operatic. well her voice really isn't bad, but not as professional as tarjas ^^

well, the term "proffessional", I'd say, doesn't fir this case really well. Tarja's voice was different IN THIS GENRE. That's the whole deal. actually, Anette could be even more professional than Tarja, because she's been singing for like 20 years now, while Tarja, for 15 or so. So that's not really the term. But, of course, nowadays, non-classical singers are more numerous than operatic ones, so the last ones are more appreciated, somehow.

The song is so amazing live.
The intro starts. You know it's coming. The crowd is ready to explode. The show is ending soon, people are really in it now. It seems the temperature got up 10 degrees at least. Anette starts singing. People scream along the lyrics, more intensively at each verse. You can feel a very,very powerful energy in the place. It's overhelming. Then the music starts. Everyone get crazy and start jumping. You're in a wonderful world for 4 minutes.
One lifetime experience.

Yeah! Annete her voice can tell stories, and is more intense then what Tarja brings, wich is very good, but I think Annete is better - her voice sounds more humanly, more natural... and she has the crowd on her hands!

Yeah, I totally agree! I was at this show in Copenhagen and this was one of the last songs, actually the last one I think, and my feet were hurting and I was tired from travelling all the way from Jutland by train, but this song totally got me going and when the concert was ending I was above the skies.

Anette would do just fine in Within Temptation or Evanescence...but why did she had to end up in Nightwish? ok she's sweet and stuff but I just can't stand the way she just...kills the song

Everyone, take anitakyoyama as a perfect example to illustrate the Tarja worship-ness. She got to the point to hate everything that has to do with Nightwish, only because of Tarja's sacking.And none can deny that. It's not Anette, it's not the vocals, it's this problem that can't get out of her head. Because she even picked on the chorus, which we really can't complain about. I don't need my ears to be cleaned. Maybe others do. :)

Have you even gone and seen her perform it live? Cause from that it sounds like you haven't. Once you go see her live you'll see how amazing she is. This video is awesome as well... so go see her live and then tell us what you think...

When I heard that Anette had covered Wishmaster, I Really didn't think that it was going to work...

I don't care what anyone says about Anette. I saw her live in early november when they were on tour in the U.S. and you know what, she was FANTASTIC! I was lucky enough to previously catch nightwish on tour back in 2005 with tarja and I gotta give em their props, they rocked, but Anette was great in her new style.

There no thing as copying Tarja in her style. She is a very very very good singer, not as good as Tarja but to think that a calm man as Holopainen kicked her of the band mean that she must have been treating the band like sh*t! And they aint stupid, damn trust them, they ARE Nightwish and not Tarja, they chose Annete, just accept it

Firstly, she's not screaming, that's called belting which is one of countless singing styles. And secondly: trying to copy tarja? Hum, that's pretty stupid claim, I must say. The only song, where Anette is really screaming, is in the end of Slaying the Dreamer and Tarja never screamed that part. And Anette is singing in her own way, not in classical way.

I´m realy impressed about Annettes courage and her voice, of course.

And it´s a kind of respect against Tarja, beause the guys know that she is the best as operatic singer in metal. The only way to replace her was to find somone with a totally other voice. And just that they did with Annette.

They adapted it as best they could, I mean if we go back to all bands who changed their singers, the styles can make some classics lack. Black Sabbath - paranoid with dio, Iron maiden - the trooper with Blaze. The new stuff sounds excellent so I can forgive some misgivings on the older material, and this sone was always tough, even for Tarja

Totalmente de acuerdo, al principio no creía que era Nightwish, después vi a Tuomas,Marco, y los otros...increíble, además, qué hace Marco cantando en los coros?? suena pésimo. Estas canciones deberían, por respeto a los fans, dejarlas a la memoria...jajaja se la imaginan gritando en Deep Silent Complete, Kiteen Pallo, Bless the Child, etc??
