The real question is what can be done to stop it? The government has control of the guns, the jails, the police, and many other aspects of our lives. And second, there must be some collective goal, some shared idea of where we as a nation want to steer it. It's a corny answer, but the only feasible one. A few good men in DC amidst hundreds of bad apples will never be enough, and we will never get enough of the right people until enough of us can figure out who those people are.

The thing that made such an important uh, invention, is that its not one thing, but a complex system of networks interacting with each-other, meaning shutting down one branch of it wont affect any other branches.
In other words, there's no "central modem", no one thing that keeps the internet online, hence there's no way to shut it *all* down.
