I dont know. This TV, the colors look too fake. It seems as if the colors arent accurate at all, just amplified to give more oomph. Is this TV not 3D capable either??? wackness. the LG OLED TV looks hella better.
lcd tv'a are better than plasma.i found out that if you have a program on on a plasma tv and it has the red button in the corner or some other image that image gets burn into the screen and you cannot remove it.thats why stores now now use adverts instead of still images all a big CON!
give it 5 years and i bet these TV's will be like $1000 for a 40" one. $2000-3000 for a 55".
All smart phones will have this display in 2 years. It's really hard to to explain how awesome the technology is without seeing the display in person. I've seen the Samsung Galaxy Nexus display. its pretty awesome.
I don't think these TV are going to start off selling well in them market because 1. They're going to be so expensive, i heard around $8000 for this one. 2. Most people already bought a new TV in the past year as LED's cmae out and the price rapidly dropped on all TVs!
@TheMainMan318 I guess all the plugs would be plugged to the side of the TV. It actually makes more sense to have them all on the side since ypu're more likely to use one of those TVs hanging on the wall
@TheMainMan318 In previous models that were really thin like this there is one wire that connects to the TV and at the end of it is a little box with all of the inputs that you can plug in to.
The main issue I see is since these TVs contain organic matter to emit the light, the TV will start to literally die on itself after a few years, with no way to fix it
@ARRL92 its going to be like 5000 $ lol wait like a year and the price will go down drastically, same thing happeend when I first bought the LED tv after a few years price went down a lot! ..technology keeps changing so dont worry lol
You guys are misunderstanding what he said, he meant as if he had kids or if anyone out there has kids he would hypothetically be worried to have it around kids in general
People don't want bigger tv's than 55 inch because it would be too in you're face and you wouldn't see it all. Who really wants to watch the Simpsons that big. What people don't get is that if you make tv's without making it possible to tell one pixel from another people are happy because anymore pixels and you wouldn't notice. Samsung are demonstrating that people want better displays and colours, not more pixels.
I'd love an LED TV, a full HD one at around 21" would be nice, but they are still very expensive. As for everyone asking about the inputs, I'm guessing they're built into the base. Another downside of LED TVs is that they aren't that good at doing greyscale, and I don't know how they are now, but on the older models, the blue LEDs used to die quite quickly.
Well I wont be owning one of these any time soon, the max I am willing to pay for a tv is 1K ( 1,000 ) I wonder how long it will take before a size that I want is within my price range?
Even though it would be double my budget, if I can get larger than 40" for less than $3k, I might just get it. It looks spectacular, and I've been waiting for the day when a tv has basically no boarder around the screen.
Want a FREE iTunes, PSN, or XBL gift card? Then download the JUNOWALLET app on your device and type in the code XX39998. And that's it! You will receive FREE points immediately, then you can receive your FREE gift card after downloading at least 3 of the free apps in the list they provide to you! Its that easy. Have fun! :)
Now THAT is something that feels and looks like a giant leap forward. I got into technology and computing in about 1980 but in recent years lost interest because advancements are incremental, but that TV looks incredible!
they're most likely through the tv's stand which is attached at the back of the TV, the cables probably run down through it to the inputs which would be at the base of the tv
It's too damn thin.. Seriously, I'm afraid to buy that shit, one wrong move and the damn thing is broken... Who gives a shit how thin it is, seriously... As long as it's not as thick as a cathode-ray tube TV, which I currently have, and that thing is fucking MASSIVE, it's OK.. You need SOME weight for stability and shit... I don't want my shit to fall down my table when a slight breeze enters the room..
LG and Sony have OLED 55' models that came out this year at CES. But did you know SAMSUNG makes 90% of OLED panels used all over the world.(research it if you dont believe me) That said, which TV would you Pick?
@DJKiDDKlashez the one that is better... just because they make 90% of the oled panels doesnt straight away justify that i give them thousands of dollars :/
I live in the UK and we Netflix is now available over here. It looks good and seems to have good reviews from most. I want to ask, is the range of films and movies good? At £5.99 it looks like a steal but am I going to be getting lots of content?
Someone mentioned how soldier made a mistake saying "Sony" instead of Samsung. That is a mistake. On a side note the screens Sony uses are all made by Samsung in case you didn't know. They do make them different with custom software and fine tuning. Maybe exclusive features too. But manufacturer is Samsung.
Yea these OLED TVs, in case you didn't know, will be a huge improvement for video games because one thing the current TVs are constantly trying to improve on is black colors. Some video games are dark and are based on very fine shades and tones of black. Hopefully this really solves that issue. But I wish soldier made his videos longer given that he advertises more and more in them.
PLED is this years hot feature. It solves a lot vision problems and on top of that it is super clear. I wouldn't see it going for less than $7k due to its depth and color quality.
I think that 3d feel without being 3d is the effect of those animated graphics. Sometimes i would see flashy animations on my galaxy nexus and i feel that too lol.
Why are everyone complaining about the price????
