  • ...that was one mean cup of water o.0

  • I wonder what Jack would have done if Blackbeard had acted to save his daughter and taken the other cup?

  • At 0:16 Jack was like, "You selfish son of a bitch..."

  • What is the name of the song/score that plays when blackbeard dies?

  • @CuriousAznBoi From the Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Soundtrack: Blackbeard

  • Jack could see it was TEARING blackbeard apart making angelica try to drink the other cup...

  • looks like that water -puts on sunglasses- really got under black beards skin. hmmph.hmmph

  • Love this scene <3 One of my favourites

  • You Bastard how could You?!?!? lol cussing in disney for once :P

  • @babyshrimp4evaa Actually, this might be the second time. You see in the first film after the Interceptor blew up by Barbossa and his undead crew, Will agrees to trade his life for everyone eles. Unfortunatly when Barbossa tricks him, Will drops the first swear word.

  • Don't get it

  • Because the jack has always done being deliberate always, victory, it is groovy

  • What is the name of music? When he reveals that he switched the cups. The fast music, I would really like to know what the name is.

  • @DeimosInc It his theme but mainly the middle part

  • @DeimosInc Yeah, what's the name of the music?

  • I wonder if that hurt

  • @walkintall67 I think it did, but seeing as he didn't scream...

  • Jack does it again

  • creepy

  • NOT Al Swearengen no!

  • an epic death for a non epic character?

  • CUSS DISNEY CUSS!!!!

  • Good ole Jack! "In fact, it might've been the other way around!" I love all the Pirates movies. I just wish that the series could've been condensed into a tight, neat trilogy, especially since the first and last pirate movies were stand-alone titles, while 2 and 3 were intrinsically linked.

On an off note, does anyone know the name of the song that's playing in this vid? Can't find it...

  • @herofromthedark Copy and paste: /watch?v=mZ4cbgGLTVc

  • @herofromthedark The soundtrack's name is "Blackbeard's Demise"

  • i just pulled up davy jones theme and half muted this and played the song with this . SO F****N EPIC:P

  • Blackbeard is a terrible father, and Angelica is a weird daughter!

  • JOhnny DEEP?

  • @cainman02 lol right?

  • I have a question. Was Blackbeard actually a bad guy or even a real antagonist in this movie?? because I didn't really see him do anything evil. Yeah, he did attack the Black Pearl, but it is a pirate attacking a pirate. He did kill a guy, which was one of the guys who tried to muteny, and He did kidnap a mermaid, but he did all that all because he didn't want to get killed by Barbossa. He is a cruel guy, but I sometimesw feel like isn't it Barbossa who technically started all this?

  • @CAPTAINBRICKBEARD He was a bad guy. He even lampshaded it at one point.

  • @CAPTAINBRICKBEARD angelica was more the main villain i feel because she esentially manipulated everyone to her own ends

  • Now that I think about it more. I just hate the fact they killed Blackbeard. It would've been perfect for him to return in the 5th movie which they are doing. So if they somehow resurrect him from bones, I'm all for it.

  • 0:48 Best part XD

  • I knew he was gonna die this way! When the 'thingie of youth' came on I allready expected he was gonna die because he turned into a skeletton.

  • I got to admit, that's one epic death.

  • Didn't see this part at the cinema cos i needed a piss. Glad i didn't see it now.

  • One thing to say, this is not a funny scene. Well, when they find out that the tear is in the other cup, it is funny, but the part after that is pure nightmare fuel where Blackbeard gets his skin flayed off by the swirling water.

  • @spiritgirl41192 Did the bastard not deserve it?

  • @pascalmonnier Well, yes I guess so, but for Jack to reveal that at the last minute after drinking was cruel.

  • that bit at 1:37 made 0_0

  • YOU BASTARD HOW COULD U?!?!?!? Lol

  • I dont want to die like that.

  • Barbossa: Shot to the chest

Davy Jones: Stabbed in the heart, fell into abyss

    Beckett: Blown to pieces

Blackbeard, the pirates ALL the pirates fear: Death by a cup of water..

  • @Curseco Aye! Well, Blackbeard would have died anyways, but the cut and STAB of Barbossa's posioned blade. For the Pearl!

  • @Curseco actually... Davy Jones fell into the maelstrom

  • @Curseco Mind you, he was torn apart by mythological water :P

  • O_o that's something you don't see everyday!

  • I would have liked it better if Sparrow had told the truth about the chalices and Blackbeard gave the fountain water to Angelica. It would have been a more badass way to go for such a cool character. He just figures "Fuck it, this is what fate meant for me anyway" and ends his life with a good deed for the one person he truly cared for. Would have been an Oscar worthy scene that way.

  • @TheBlackPhoenix100 jeez, thats just what i thought. i only i didnt think he was a cool character.

  • @TheBlackPhoenix100 it would be better if all that happened but Jack hadn't told the truth.

  • @TheBlackPhoenix100 It would have defeated the whole purpose of his character. That hes deep down just a "bad man", no matter what, he even says so himself in the film.

  • @TheBlackPhoenix100 That would have been great, but very unlike Blackbeard's character. His character was ruthless and merciless, even towards his own daughter who he's willing to kill in order to live. Giving her the life chalice would have been very out of character and in my opinion been a very low point for the movie.

  • @TheBlackPhoenix100 YES! YES! That is how I wanted it to end too! A willingly sacrifice of redemption! But no, kill him off like this. The only thing I hated about the movie.

  • @TheBlackPhoenix100 Wouldn't really fit his personality though, now would it?

  • Creepy death

  • blackbeard disliked?

  • @legokinz yes in the uk on september 12th i saw it in town todayand ordered it off amazon

  • @legokinz It's out in the UK and some areas of Europe on 12th September.

  • Blackbeard got what he deserved, Jack Sparrow is the man!

  • Anybody see a parallel between this scene and Donovan's death in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade? Thumbs up if you do!

  • @spiritgirl41192

Well, I'd not be surprised if the Fountain's rules say that you can live forever ONLY if you'll never go away from the Fountain.

  • @spiritgirl41192

More of a cross between Donovan and Toht getting his face melted in Raiders.

Only obscured by a waterfall so its not nearly as gruesome.

  • @spiritgirl41192 Yeah, cept Blackbeard isn't screaming in terror at being disintegrated.

  • @spiritgirl41192 Yeah I do. They both turned to skulls. Both chose poorly. Both had the life sucked out of them. Both had a gruesome death. Both were bad. Both were watched by their enemies (other than the women) And Both scared the living crap out of me when they died.

  • Probably the only scene in the film that I didn't like. A very sad and quite disturbing end for Blackbeard. I was really hoping he would have returned, but considering how he went out like this. Now had he willingly sacrificed to save Angelica, I would have been fine with it, but being tricked. Not at all.

  • @TheShadowedOne1 It would have been way out of character for him to choose to save Angelica. He was evil, and he just wanted to live forever. Also, it would have been out of Jack's character to not do a little trickery. Although I sort of wish they had done it so that Jack told the truth about the cups, and Blackbeard saw through it, and drank the other one, thinking Jack was lying, so jack would have "Lied by telling the truth" like Angelica did to him. After all, jack did say he would use it.

  • He chose... poorly.

  • @eyp0704

Copied almost exactly by Indy and the last crusade

  • @eyp0704 Moral of the two movies: Never let anyone (particularly Jack or Elsa) choose a chalice for you, because they WILL screw-up.

  • @GunnytheBunny1

And never trust in Holy Grails, Fountains of youth or whatever: If on one side they'll give you eternal life (even if sometimes it's a rip-off), on the other, if you don't use them well they'll take you to a painful, splatter death!

  • @fidilio89 Solution: Label the chalices... or at least find a lucky sucker to be the test monkey.

  • @GunnytheBunny1

CAUTION: If you don't want to die NEVER DRINK THE WATER IN THIS CHALICE!

  • @GunnytheBunny1

    Who's Elsa?

  • @NTA247 A character from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". Why?

  • @eyp0704 *puts on sunglasses*

    YEAAAAAAAAH

  • @eyp0704 To whom does "he" refer to? Jack or Blackbeard?

  • @MinnowStar Blackbeard. He greedlily chose the wrong cup. ;)

  • @eyp0704 Ah. I was confused. Some people don't like Angelica, so I thought you could have been talking about her...lol. Anyway, if analyzed carefully, Jack applied the "lie by telling the truth" to this scene.

  • @MinnowStar Nice. Jack usally does that so many times in the franchise. ^^ Some fans ongoingly argue that Angelica isn't a strong character but she's part of the POTC world now. Nothing we can do about it. :)

  • @eyp0704 I actually like Angelica, although I wish her character was more developed. Kind of off-topic...but as for Philip and Syrena, I could care less whether they made an appearance in the 5th movie.

  • @MinnowStar Let's hope Philip and Syrena don't return for the next movie as much as I hate to say it. Because something tells me we maybe looking at another Will & Elizabeth disaster again if they do come back.

  • @shadowfox1383 Skimming through all these bloody comments is annoying. That aside, I agree. I could care less whether they returned or not; they have no real connection to Jack, and assuming he will be the lead role again in the next Pirate movie, have no reason to return. Their story is "done" in the essence that they're not vital to the next plot line... based on assumption. A few of my friends drool over the two, though. They easily fall for anything "cute".

  • @eyp0704 I've noticed he does throughout the Pirate movies, but if that's so, I have to wonder why he says, "That's very good. May I use that?"...or something along those lines. Ehm. Anyway, if only modern day pirates could be nice. They seem kind of desperate.

  • @eyp0704 Haha! Thats amazing XD

  • Actually, this scene and the scene with the dead buy on the bed holding the map are my favourite scenes. Lol that part had the entire cinema rofling when I went to see it. LOL

  • This has to be my favourite scene in the whole movie. :D

  • @legokinz it's already out for dvd

  • @Xpayne1 It IS??!!

  • @CaptainCrimsonCC Ye im glad that i m 50 % russian and understand the Rus and i had it from pirates of dvd...HD 1080P russian dub....and i don't understand how and where they get this quality because official POTC:4 should out in september.Try to search by torrent

  • Probably not the way he would have wanted to die, but a fine way to die nontheless

  • I am thinking that Blackbeard "Ian McShane" might come back in Pirates 5, and will be the same way Barbossa was in Pirates 1, where he is visibly cursed at certain times or he might come in Pirates 5 as a Ghost.
