Grolsch is very delicious, but I know that in truth beer is actually kind of yucky. It's an acquired taste that is developed because of the pleasant feelings the alcohol provides.
This last week Grolsch was on sale! I drank lots of that and Heineken too! Now I feel like crap and want to get drunk again. Hahahaha! But I am drinking Earl Grey instead.
Now I feel like honorary Dutch citizen cause I drank so much Dutch beer. What else should I eat that is from Holland?
So I heard.. at least beer is not very expensive, now that would be wrong ;)
Is Heineken good too? Haha, I don't know how that feels but it sounds sucky! Maybe a raw egg will help, I always see that in films. ;p When I read Earl Grey, first I thought it was another beerbrand, but okay, tea.
Yep, Heineken is good too, but I love Grolsch more. In Hawaii it's funny cause the local Hawaiians seemed to hate all kinds of really good European beer, but for some reason they love Heineken anyways. Usually they like to drink cheap watery American beers, so there must be something special about Heineken.
Nah, I wouldn't try the raw egg! Maybe a fermented egg would be better, or egg shaped chocolates.
Yah, or try Moosehead. It's Canadian beer that my friends that don't like beer can usually enjoy. I don't know why though. I guess it's smoother or less bitter. What is your most favorite beverage ever? I think mine is hot chocolate, or green tea.
Hmm.. hot chocolate is good yes.. but not the thick Spain hot chocolate [chocolate con churros] it is the most disgusting beverage I ever drank.. it's like.. the chocolate paste you put on bread, but then pure, hot and even thicker. Even thinking of it makes me feel sick again haha.
But my favorite.. mostly things without bubbles.. and zouthout tea (I don't know the english name for that..)
Uhm, cheese, yummy. I will definately try to get some Boerenkool, that sounds really cool! HOly cow! I love cheese, but know absolutely nothing about good cheeses.
Well, Hawaii has cheese but I am not there anymore! It's a miracle your crossing the fingers helped! I sold the car a week ago and am in Seattle now. I think I can find Dutch cheese here. I'll also try to get Frisian sugarbread. That sounds really good.
Well, I am not sure what you should try. From normal America? Or Hawaii?
Those French cheese with the molds.. those are disgusting! But young cheese is reaallly good (: or.. feta.. But that's not 'good cheese'.. I don't know anything about good cheeses either.
Oh really? :O where is Seattle somewhere? and where do you live now.. a house/hotel...? Yess the sugerbread is delicious!
American food, Hawaiian food.. everything is good B-)
I just got back to Seattle a week ago. I am staying with one of my friends here. Actually you may remember the Ape Man who did all the sniffing? But I think he is getting tired of me already. Unless I can become like a house cat or something. Hahaha.
It's nice being around lots of artistic type stuff, but now already I want to travel to Europe or Asia
Oh wow, Ape Man just asked me just now to fix the water tank, so now he won't hate me anymore, and I can mooch off of him until monday! (:
yah, i got the tank fixed and then he was praising me greatly, but then the other day i broke one of his most precious pieces of glass art. it was really horrible. i accidently tipped the chair over cause of my my big fat new shoes, and then the chair fell on the fancy art glass lampshade.
now he forgives me again, though, luckily, and i helped him fix something else again. so i geuss he likes me again.
hahaha, yes i should barf on his lap! it's a good idea!
yah, i wanna go to europe area really bad, but now i guess i am gonna go to new york and visit friends there. the europe tickets are sooooo expensive. but maybe i can still get good deal from new york to amsterdam or london. i'll see what happens. but anyways, new york should be really interesting.
Yes.. they're really expensive, pity. New York sounds really cool too, I really want to go there one day, but all the people seem so angry all the time. A little bit like the antisocial people in the village where I live, if you give them one look they go: "Can you see it?! Ugly slut? Go sniff some coke or something, gothic! Fuck off!"
Hehe (: I always wonder what their problem is.
Cool you have friends in New York too.. but.. maybe when you're there, you should try not to break things ;P
I thought Boerenkool was cheese, but now I just read about it: "Boerenkool is the most delicious thing humanity ever concocted. This has to be attributed to the inherently magical properties of the two main ingredients: potatoes and the cabbage itself, the actual boerenkool. On this page I will try to explain which mundane and simple string of tasks can lead to a meal that has the potential to bring world peace, if only everyone would realize and experience its soulhealing qualities."
Haha, yes, the recipe looked very delicious. I hope I can find it somewhere here in Seattle, at some Dutch restaurant or something.
I think this fellow was a pot head, yes. It did look like he put a tone of grass in there actually.
Oh, yeah, my recommendation is you try pizza and chocolate chip cookies. But I guess pizza is Italian and you already tried that. But I think Toll House style chocolate chip coolies are American invention. Did you already try those?
Are there Dutch restaurants in Seattle you think? I don't see why anyone outside Holland would want to go to an Dutch restaurant.. not that our food isn't tasty but.. there are lots of other better stuff.
Pizza I have tried yes! And the chocolate cookies too! Hmm, they taste goood. (:
Oh another thing you should try; drop! It's really typical Dutch, and foreigners mostly don't like it. But I don't get that, it's nice.
i got dutch cheese yesterday! it was very delicious. it was beemster brand, with garlic. it was really yummy. they had one with nettles in it too, i was gonna get that, but chickened out, cause it might sting or something. have you had this cheese with nettles in it? what is drop? i think there is a dutch restaurant in monroe, it's called: "the dutch cup" i don't know what this means, but maybe i'll go there someday.
Ohh cool :D glad you liked it! Take the nettlechees sometime too, I had it a while ago for the first time.. and it's a bit weird, but yummy too. Especially on a.. tosti? ahm.. I forgot the word for it. Croque-Monsieur is the French word, Bikini is the Spanish word.. but noooo.. I can't remember the English word.
Thanks for not thinking I am a stoner, nor smelly and creepy. :) If it wasn't for the fact that our cab company serves the fanciest hotel on the island I would probably look a lot scruffier. (but still not be too smelly, I hope)
What brand is your ukulele? Some of those cheap ukuleles can sound pretty good. Try strings like aquila nylguts, or worths, it will make a huge difference if you use high tension strings.
Oohlala, the fanciest hotel on the island! Scruffy is the name of a video I used to watch as a kid, it was about a puppy. But.. that has nothing to do with this.
It's a cheap one (: a mahalo.. I'll try some better strings sometime, but I'm scared they're hard to find here.. our musicstores are annoyingly crappy.
I changed some settings and I thin the icon will work now (:
Holy cow, I can't believe it's hard to find good music stores. Holland seems like such a cool place. I mean Amsterdam specifically. Well, the strings those Mahalos come with are Hilo black nylons, which are the favorite of traditional Hawaiians, so you are in good company. And I love the sound you are getting out of your ukulele!
Oh hey, my respond didn't work.. ohh.. yeah.. I put a link in it. Smarty pants.
Amsterdam is really awesome! (did you go there?) But where I live (in the north) it's not. I mean, it's cool, but.. it's no Amsterdam.. it's all cows and grass and stupid shops. The rest of holland seems to believe we still live in the prehistorics.
I wish I could go to Amsterdam, it seems like a really open-minded place. Maybe I will go soon. I think I am moving out of Hawaii in the next couple of days or so.
Cows and grass and stupid shops! Sounds like Hawaii kind of, except not really many clogs and tulips. But there is lots of cows and grass in the mountains! Anyways, I think you could find clogs at the thrift shops from wayward Dutch peoples that lost their souls here.
Well if you're ever going to Amsterdam let me know ^^
Moving out, like, really leaving Hawaii?
There are not lots of clogs or tulips in Holland either, so I guess Hawaii and Holland are practically the same, except for the weather maybe. And we have the drugs of course.
Cows on Hawaii.. sounds really weird, I'd more expect a huge monkey business.
I wish there was monkeys here. I can't believe there isn't wild ones here at all. Some day there will be...
Well, I thought I was moving out of Hawaii right away, but now these stupid people backed out of buying my car. Man, holy cow, I was all packed and everything. Now I am wandering around like a ghost, half here half there, wherever "there" is. I am pretty much nowhere. (Except "paradise" of course)
By the way, I enjoyed your Kunstbende video. Did you two songs? Is there more video?
Yah, still trying to sell, but not any bites at all lately. Just waiting,,,, waiting.....and waiting. I sit in cab all day and wait and now wait for car to sell too... But it's okay. Hawaii is beautiful, that's for sure. Have you ever been to Hawaii? I never picked up Dutch tourists ever, don't think. But I love Grolsch beer. It's one of my favorites.
I tried to post this as a video response to your video, so it should of showed up as a little icon to click on, underneath your video, but for some reason it didn't work. Maybe you have to change some settings for it to post that way.

No.. never been there, my sister did though. She loved it! (I think) I'd like to go there someday.. Hawaii sounds very attractive!
I've never drunk (drank? pfff.. though; english) Grolsch I think.. but I doubt I'd find it tasty!

Part 2.
Cheese? But you have that in Hawaii too I guess..
Boerenkool.. you should try that once, but I think you would have to come to Holland for that, and it's not thát yummy. So.. hm..
Oh and sûkerbole! Sugarbread! It's a Frisian something.. but that's only here too.. hm..
well.. anything I should eat?

Hahah wauw.
Yeah I remember the Ape Man [isn't that also a.. The Kinks song?] I hope you got the water tank fixed, else he's got more reason to throw you out..
but you could always try to be a house cat, curl up on his lap, eat grass than puke, lick the butter, purr and miauw.
If you're going to travel, you should definitely go to England and Spain too, and Holland is cool too I guess..

yeah okay, I finished laughing.
Oh no, started again. It was really cool :D (so it's not mean laughing but kind laughing)
and cool that you're cabdriver. Most of the cabdrivers are smelly and creepy and annoyed, but you seem like a fun cabdriver. And not like a stoner.
Your ukulele looks more professional than mine, maybe that's because mine is pink.. hm.
