How about a netboot install? Basically throwing the kernal to the PS3 from a PC?
BTW cheers for the video. If you use a GUI would you recommend a USB hub? I've only got two ports so I'm kind screwed if I have my USB drive in it. Which is why I wanna do the netboot. (also I'm pretty technologically inclined so don't worry about throwing tech words at me :P.)
@xPreatorianx Netboot is possible but you need to use an earlier version of the absetos installer program and you need another pc running a tftp server, this seems a bit pointless really seeing as you CAN use a USB hub very easily and this is in fact how I do it myself.
I've got a USB 4 x hub plugged in, with the controller, mouse and keyboard all plugged in and they all work fine.
Can you recommend an app or a way with this linux to backup bluray disks from the PS3 to a shared network drive?
