It's a Swedish JAS 39, it was a computer bug or software problem. that caused this The aircraft has had about eight serious incidents, most of the pilots escape safely. SAAB is now trying to flog off the Gryphon at a discount price.

The same problem accurred during Stockholm Water festival in 1993. The computer overloaded and "cached" rudder-information. After the "cached" information in computer where effected the plane automaticlly stabilized it self. But then it was to late since the pilot already had ejected.
Saab= Manufactor of of airplanes and cars. car division is now owned by GM.
The airplans name is: 39 Gripen. Made in Sweden. Flown by Swedish, Hungarian and South african airforces. This crasch happned before the plane was operational. its a test aircraft that is crashing. the pilot was ok.

@pobesnelimrmot its actually a Saab grippen which is Swedish. Also, I think amazingly the pilot survived this accident, don't quote me on it though.

Yes the pilot did survive with only minor injuries. The same pilot was also flying when the secode crash with the JAS 39 Gripen did occur.
