  • Gary numan ripped this off BIG TIME and Bowie did not like it

  • @TheAnthony236 Gary Numan has been cited by many as a pioneer, dont you think its abit outdated fro people to still be attacking him

  • Only Bowie album I bought... my ex bought the rest..... make me go hummmmmmmmmm.

  • Kind of sounds like Gary Numan.

  • i love the snare drum on this track and on the whole album

  • the master at his best

  • 3 people have no clue!!!

  • BEST BOWIE ALBUM AND THAT''S A BIG STATEMENT WITH ALL HIS GREAT WORKS

  • Low must be the greatest birthday present ever!

    Happy bday, mister Bowie! :D

  • Omg...... What a jam! I love the hook like crazy. Great guitar all of it!

  • Quality sucks ;/

  • In 1977 I was a drugged up punk rocker in London when this came out and Bowie was trying to come off drugs in Berlin.

I used to play this album constantly staying up all night listening to it.

This song doesn't need lyrics for you to know what it's about. And not in a good way, not in a good way at all. But in a bad and low way.

  • Anybody here think that this song influenced the sound of the New Romantics, especially the use of synthesizers in this song?

Either way, I love this song.

It is pure genius and awesome.

I wish artists today had the creativity and originality of the likes of David Bowie, Brian Eno, Roxy Music(just to name a couple, but there are a lot more).

Even the New Romantics of the Late '70's and early '80's had originality in sound (even though their music was heavily influenced by these artists)

  • @JimmyMcShane96 totally. they still list Bowie as one of their main influences (Sumner, Smith, McCulloch, Morrissey and many many others)

  • @iwearlemontee I don't mean to sound retarded, but who are Sumner, Smith, McCulloch, Morrissey?

  • @JimmyMcShane96 Sting, Robert Smith from the Cure, Ian McCulloch from Echo and the Bunnymen, and Morrissey from the Smiths.

  • @nicktaxidermy I thought it was Bernard Sumner from Joy Division/New Order.

  • There aren't any words that one could use to define the genius that is David Bowie...Low and Heroes are very inspirational, Bowie and Eno work so well together...

  • awesome spatial song !!

  • The first album in Bowie's second great period.

  • The cover's meaning is "Low"... "Profile" ! Cuz Bowie is in profile.

  • The rock donkey. The mikes were in the snares! Magic.

  • Having words would ruin this song.

    Love it. <3

  • God bless his eternal flame!

  • This tune rips me back to the 1970's when the world, and music were much happier. The only stress you had was when you had less then a 1/4.

  • @johned56

I don't know if you ever noticed, but this a very depressed album.

  • @ybrik222 lol yes but people feel whatever they feel

  • @jarvizcocker

I certainly understand opinions; I just hate when people assume their opinions are correct (hint: opinions can't be correct).

  • I love this song and this album.

  • This has that new, yet old feeling.... it's hard to explain..

  • @FlyingTurtletastic not dated

  • eno

  • @youngmick2 Not really.

  • thanks for share this masterpiece :D greats from chile

  • low gets me higher

  • I see this Album listed under Bowie alot but I've also seen it Credited to Bowie and Eno equally, whitch is more acurate, though I do know that Eno has a history of downplaying his involvement in things and discrediting himself alot. Either way, great song and exellent album

  • Bowie is a genius.

  • デヴィッド・ボウイの"LOW"からのインスト~圧倒的A面~キャッチャー退廃ロック"SPEED OF LIFE"、ギターはカルロス・アロマー

  • I hated this when it came out. Listened to it once, then set it aside. I was a massive Bowie fan at the time too.

Then that fall my roommate in college, freshman year, played it. Over and over again. Every morning. Gradually it sunk it. Loved it ever since.

The hollow drums, the riff of "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling," and especially the mix of guitar and synthesizer (or whatever) at 1:44. Oh yeah, and Carlos Alomar's guitar hammering away at the end. Wow!

  • funny, how this album was panned by the critics when it came out....when I played it ppl laughed at me..now 35 years later it still sounds fresh and timeless and is being recognized as the amazing piece of work it truly is.....Bowie truly marched to the beat of his own drum and thru caution to the wind.. the qualities of all great artists!

  • @leonakita Is not uncommon to see that happen. People tend to form barriers around themselves to innovative and challenging ideas. In the end what matters is that in the long run, we will remember the good music, and not the only the popular one.

  • Genial!

  • low and slow! go bowie go!

  • Me encanta esta canción, queda como para inicio de pelicula :D

Pero odio el lado B de este album xD

  • 2011- hey peoples today music sucksssssssss,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, true/ or/ false

  • AAAAHHHHH I love this album to bits if it were a person I'd take it out for a romantic dinner and shower it with praises and gifts and THINGS aaaaahhhh Low.

  • wtf man first time i lsitened to this in a long time, being in the middle of a heavy beatles phase and it just slapped me in the face. fucking brilliant. i truly love side one of this album just as its hard to pin down. side two has good stuff on too: love warszawa most but subterraneans too long and heroes does it better - bloody cracker though

  • I loved this album, it's so hard to say what is Bowie's best album of all time, but this goes in my top 5. Personally Station to Station is my all time favorite.

  • I think the fact that this piece presents itself with no surprises or hidden values is what is so surprising. There is no change of mood or variation in its sort of euro-rock post-punk presentation.

Nothing happens; it presents itself, plays through and then disappears.

    It's marvellous.

  • @JuneJune1950 actually it has levels, but i agree that is presented as a unity. marvellous indeed, one of his best.

  • Fusée...ce track. J'adore.

  • What is it about this track that sticks with me? It's like tuning into the radio frequency from some future civilizations entertainment network. I love it.

  • How a man like Bowie can go from Hunky Dory, the "Starman" and the "Thin White Duke", then land in Berlin with Eno and lead the new album with one of the coolest frickin' instrumentals in rock and roll history: Priceless!!!

  • low=best album ever

  • @3000herman My name is also Herman. However, the best album ever is in fact Exile on Main St.

  • electro funk. awesome

  • The first side of LOW is the best-ever collection of David Bowie-Songs.

  • So fucking cool.

  • the guitar playing on this song ( and album, at that), is funky, simple, and brilliant.

  • this is beautiful.

  • My third favourite Bowie album lol - thanks for teaching me David. XX

  • One of my all-time favorite instrumentals. Thank you so much for posting this!

  • low get me high

  • @Kubrickfan1 lol!!!!

  • My favorite Bowie album.

  • @squiggTV

I think Heroes showed how much he could do with this genre. In my opinion, heroes was on of the best albums of the 70's and easily in the top 100 albums ever made. Again, this album was pretty good, too.

  • love!
