  • well...its part of the food chain...=)

  • hehe... sperm

  • @archie977 What's even more disturbing is that you are thinking about people killing each other while watching this video . You need to turn yourself off sometimes .

  • I'm disappointed in the sperm whales. I would have expected them to dismantle the pod of killer whales just because they are the bigger carnivores in this situation.ugh

  • Oh I thought wtf stood for what the fuck

I forgot about weird true and freaky for a bit

  • this video kind of sucks, like i couldve read a summation of this story in about 2 seconds..."with only footage of fins bobbing above the surface scientists are left to guess as to the extent of the carnage below" or some bs.

i want to see a sperm whale smack the shit out of an orca you know? or why couldn't the sperm whales dive for a couple hours? orcas piss me off, i don't really even mind that they accumulate hella toxins in their systems hopefully they get hunted to extinction soon.

  • Not even a pod of orcas could kill a bull sperm whale.

  • @latinodude85 what did you just watch then?

  • Orcas are just like chicken. They come with group to kill other animals. If 1 orca vs 1 sperm whale sperm whale would beat orca.Think about Megalodon if megalodon would still alive orcas were just a snack for Megalodon

  • @2011Transformersdotm

Only if it's 1-on-1 with the Megalodon. The most powerful shark to ever live. However if it's a whole pod of Orcas the big ass shark is finished. There's a reason why Orca's earned their name "Killer" Whales. It's because they don't fight fair. They play dirty when it comes to hunting their prey. Sharks fight fair one on one and that leads to their downfall. Orcas use strategy.

Even 1 Orca vs. 1 Great White the Shark will lose epically.

  • 240...we meet again

  • Why didn't they dive? Sperm whale can go deeper than orcas...

  • if one on one, killer whale stand no chance at all

  • teehee sperm

  • Sperm whale my ass ...

  • Sperm Whales? O_o

  • Female sperm whales are much smaller and are subject to being hunted by KW.

  • american nature programmes are shit.

  • @scottjp31

In the United States of America we do not have nature programmes. We have nature PROGRAMS, but not nature programmes. These "programmes" you speak of do not exist in any form, be it shit or stone or tomatoes (pronounced TOE-MAY-TOES) or brass. Cheers from the colonies!

  • hehe.. sperm...

  • moby dick vs shamo?!?!?

  • @robosoldier11 i mean shamu

  • killer whales are AWESOME predators.

  • Tehehe Sperm :3

  • dude shut up your pathetic.

  • Whales are pathetic creatures, they lose against everything, im surprised theyre not completely eradicated by now.

  • @Monkonmunky your so wrong man. a bull sperm whale would swollow one of these fuckers whole! fully ground bull sperm whales are HUUUUUUUGE. this was not a full pod of whales but two a mother and baby i seen it on tv befor. they eat the baby and leave the mother wounded. now if the full pod had come and along with it the bull they would peace'd out so fast you wouldn't know what happen

  • @Monkonmunky That´s a mouth full coming from a member of a species that was allmost comletly whiped out few million years ago and only survived because of insest! Besides the orca is a whale too.

  • @MsDjessa Boohoo.

  • Tim

  • killer whales vs sperm whales killer whales win

  • ok, WHY is a sperm wale called a SPERM wale? cus it has more sperm than any other wale? -.-

  • @PrincessKonohana they are actually sperm it just that japanese people make it turn super giant and release it to the sea

  • @BlueRice It's not the Japanese, the American's did it

  • @PrincessKonohana - because they swallow the seamen

  • @PrincessKonohana People are idiots, the real reason is because they look like sperm. That sounds ridiculous, but it is true.

  • @PrincessKonohana haha because it looks like a Sperm!!! try too look at your sperm using a powerful microscope, you'll see lot's of tiny sperm wales xD

  • WHAT?! A carnivorous mammal eating another carnivorous mammal?! NO FREAKIN WAY?!?!?!?!?!

  • We do relize they have to eat to? If we call them killer whales because they are ultimate predators then we should call ourselves killer apes...

  • @brittboo858 Well considering they aren't even whales and we aren't apes.

  • @Glassjaw003 How are we not apes? Do you not believe in evolution, or merely misunderstand it?

  • @Fanta666 Well first I off I do not believe in evolution, at least I'm not convinced. And I definitely understand it. But that is beside the point, we are not apes because *Apes* are a superfamily of what you are thinking of, primates. Humans are primates, but that is too broad for me, I prefer the term Humans.

  • @Glassjaw003 "Fossils and DNA confirm humans are one of more than 200 species belonging to primates. Within that larger group, humans are nested within the great ape family."

I'm curious, do you have a proposed alternative to evolution? There is evidence abound, the fossil record is merely the most superficial. Genetic data and variation in proteins all indicate descent from a common ancestor.

  • @Fanta666 Apparently you can't post links in youtube comments but that is from humanorigins DOT si DOT edu/evidence/human-fossils/species/homo-sapiens

  • @Fanta666 Hmm, I just read what I wrote. I worded what I wanted to say wrong. Yes Human's are part of the Ape family, and even broader primate order. What I was saying is a prefer the use of Human or Homo sapiens. Anyways, I told you I wasn't totally convinced, and yes I do have an alternative to evolution, as do billions of others.

  • @Glassjaw003 What is it? What evidence is more compelling than that which exists for evolution by natural selection?

  • @Fanta666 I believe in God, so there's your answer. I tend to believe that science and God can work together, but I have yet to figure a way in which evolution and Christianity can work in harmony.

  • @Fanta666 I was also wondering about that, I think we are genetically altered by an intelligent race, and religion called them God.

  • i giggled everytime he said sperm

  • @eduardo13rocha most understandable. Are you gay?

  • @speedmaster001 How does that make me gay?

  • extreme!

  • pack of orcas beats all

  • orca(sm) vs sperma whale....

  • They didn't show how the killer whales only eat the tongue of the young whale and leave the rest behind.

  • @1pheas2 That's typical of when they hunt grey whales. On a sperm whale, they'll eat more towards the flanks, since Sperm Whales have little meat on their bottom jaw.

  • A group of killer whales extinct the megalodon

  • @lvgcoolman13 yeah no shit the orcas hunted out all there food

  • I think the orcas had their contribution to the extinction of the megalodon. The young sharks would have been a meal.

  • Btw who's winning or who won?

  • GO SPERM WHALE!

  • holy smokes

  • hahaha

  • they should actully get under water footage instead of that lousy dorsal fin of that orca

  • lolol.olol i thought that was tom clancy the famous writer

  • Wtf Cod nazi zombies music at te begginning

  • animal planet saying WTF ......WTF is goin on lol

  • You can't say the orca isn't calculating.

  • Really dislike the way the commentator really seems to be having a go at the orca. It's a creature doing what it does to survive! Someone needs to tell him we stopped calling orca "killer whales" years ago.

  • orcas are beautiful animals and like every other creature on this planet they do what they have too to survive.don't hate on the orcas.have you heard of luna.he was just one example of the kind animals that they are.get over it.

  • your are and assole

  • At 47 seconds, that's a breaching humpback whale. EPIC FAIL Animal Planet

  • i hate orcas. they are natures bullies.

  • Tim Clancy, Tom Clancy's long lost brother.

  • who chose that name?

  • damm!!

  • Cripple Giraffe at 1:59 :D

    Orcas are bad-ass.

  • yo...orcas are straight sea gangsters... rollin' with their homies, takin' out goons...

  • forget the fight did you see that giraffe?

  • Those bigass dolfins arent so dam great a real shark like the grate white woulda killed their bitch asses.

  • @genesisproject nope scientist observed the fight between orca and greatwhite....both times orca killed the great white...... you can check in youtube too

  • @genesisproject Nope. Great whites are helpless against orcas. "Killer whale" is just a superior predator.

  • The commercials are getting loooonger >:( way to see out Youtube.

  • my sperm whale can fire 75 feet

  • Orca vs Great white shark? 1v1 who wins? i know in nature its the Orca's becaue they stick togeather but what do you think 1v1 would be my money is still on the Orca

  • @lucasrocks19 orca uses brain...............sharks bite can make the orca think twice...but orca never gives shark a chance....if megaladon was there tat wd be the battle of giants...right now killer whale is the undisputed champion of ocean

  • @1Raptorfan Lol, And dude are you crazy? A megladon vs a sperm whale? Thats like a Lion vs a small dog. Megladons would be feeding on blue whales without the help of others if they were still around.

  • @300tunes A MEGALODON VS BLUE WHALE WOULD BE GREMAN SHEPARD ON STEROIDS VS WOLF

  • @300tunes dude its not sperm whale m talking abt..m talking abt the killer whale(orca) vs great whites or the biggest of the biggest megaladon.....i know megaladon wd easily kill sperm whales...

  • Watch out the JAPS WHALERS IS COMING!

  • Male sperm :P

  • Comparisons that the average American viewer understands: a car, an elephant and a football field. Those are everywhere on discovery's programs :D

  • mines bigger

  • lol he said sperm

  • @darkluis201 lol you're childish

  • 1 beluga or 1 blue whale or 1 sperm whale beats 1 orca

  • I'm surprised the Sperm Whales don't put up much of a fight, don't they eat Giant Squids and shit?

  • @wannabethug7 yes they eat gaint squid but not shit :/-

  • @dmKrease Lol didn't mean it literally more figuratively slangish.

  • awww shamu O:

  • you dont fuck with this dolphin

  • Orcas are the assholes of the ocean.

  • @Dale747474 they are only eating to survive. I love animals and I had to come to the point of accepting that sometimes other animals have to kill to live. Our dogs were once wolves, and our house cats were once like the Lynnx or Bobcat. Yet we keep them as adored pets. Though everyday, we feed them meat. It may be dried and in "kibble" form, but it is meat and not grass or a vegetarian diet. They can't live like that.

  • @Timothy2035 You're right, but they keep killing whale babies, and sometimes they don't even eat what they kill, they just do it for sport. They kill for the sake of killing, and nothing else. Well, a lot of times, anyway. Orcas do this more than any other species. Like when a cat tortures a bird, kills it, and leaves it. See the one where they only ate the whale baby's head after torturing it and the mother for hours? If the ocean has an asshole, it is an orca, with their wee beady eyes.

  • @Dale747474 I do agree that sometimes it looks caddy to us. Though some of it can be training the young Orcas on how to hunt. There was a documented case once I remember reading that after the young Orca were being taught what seal pups were for, one of the adult Orca was spotted bringing the baby seal back to the beach and released it to go back on land. They didn't kill the pup. It was astounding. I do understand though where you are coming from. I was kind of put off by them before.

  • @Timothy2035 All right, for your sake, they get another chance, but only if that pup story is true. I won't call them assholes anymore. I guess they are just...jerks. When they didn't even eat that whale baby, that was a little, unnecessary, I thought. But, I digest.....I know hunters act like that, but it's still hard to watch. I don't like most cats for the same reason. Anyway, good talking to you...I'll give them another chance...

  • WIERD TRUE AND FREAKY... WTFFFFF

  • This is the kind of shit biologists should be filming. Not waiting for some amateur to film it. Fucking useless scientists

  • I guess you can say the Orcas swallowed some sperm... whales ;D

  • Cryptozoology novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach one night see video book trailer

  • Actually Sperm whales can hit 75 feet.

  • @PUNKem733 your wrong.67 feet 11 inches in 1950

  • yumyum, SPERM....whale

  • Apparently one of the sperm whales cummed on one of the orcas females faces causing the fight that happened.

  • I love how this bit is delivered like a wrestling match. "On the other corner, weighing in at..."

  • i think its great this bit is delivered like a wrestling match. "Weighing in at..."

  • Fucking badass...

  • when theyre hungry they dong give a damn who you are ...not even if youre the trainer!

  • 0:25 was that windows XP unknown error?

  • ha ha sperm

  • @Solison how did u think humans got to we r now dumbass? its all about the brain size. U can be the biggest strongest life form just by the size of ur brain and ur ability to problem solve. Thats how small animals can kill big animals, through higher thinking and coordination of effort

  • it's odd seeing a smaller animal easily destroy a bigger stronger animal... throws the food chain out the window lol,,, there's also a video i saw on here that blew my mind. it was eagles hunting adult wolfs ... crazy.

  • @Solison

What are you talking about? Humans kill larger animals all the time.

  • @rencrow

Yea but orcas are not using guns dear. It would be like 10 of your friends ambushing a couple of grizzly bears by "bashing" your head into their chest to stun them.

  • @macbeasty 10 of his friends ambushing a grizzly? lol wtf even 10,000 of his friends couldnt take on a grizzly with their gear hands

  • @ThisReallySuckz

thats my point. its totally badass that orcas can bash something that is several times their size. it would be like humans trying to bash a grizzly which the grizzly would probably shove off as an annoyance.

  • @macbeasty more like a group of humans with big claws/jaws attack a cow -.-

  • Nooo chance for the sperms! Those transient orcas are stealth warriors aka The silent dolphin =)

  • and their favorite part of whales to eat is the lips and toungue..they leave the rest normally for the punk ass sharks. They were just female catchalots(whalers name for sperm whales, guess why?) they took on though. if a male sperm whale had been on the scene, things would have been diffrent. they have been none to bite orcas in half.

  • killer whales are no joke king of the seas

  • GO ORCA!!!!!

  • What The F*** is the name of this TV show

  • Why are they called sperm whales?

  • @fspopshovit They are called sperm whales because the use a certain material in their large heads that can change density. (liquid to solid and back) They use this for ballast when diving. (Solid sinks and liquid floats)

That fluid is white and a bit sticky & creamy, and sailors being sailors (infamous for raunchy humor), they called it sperm.

  • @fspopshovit

    LOL i don't know but i think "rosepetal108" answered :P

in Arabic they are named "ambergris whales" :)

    more clean name :P

  • have you noticed that te sperm wales are actually lokks like spermatozoon

  • @StrainPesteHotare i will rape your anua

  • Too much sperm came out of it so they got mad!

  • @egormly lol :D

  • The Orcas are just lucky there wasn't a mature adult male sperm whale in the area.

The battle ends very differently when that happens.

  • @rosepetal108

No. It ends in the same way. In front of speed and coordination of killer whales, sperm whales should have one chance: to dive. But never do ...

  • @TheDanLascu Thats not true. Healthy adult male sperm whales have nothing to fear from Orca. They are quite aggressive and will defend the female herds, if they are close enough to get there in time. They are many times larger, they have teeth (unlike the females), they have the ability to stun Orcas with sonar, and they can and will kill the Orca given a chance.

This little known fact has been documented in the Atlantic breeding grounds.

  • sperm whales hahaha

  • @atatatr wow. Are you really THAT immature? GTFO

  • @realwaluigi da fuck u mudabitch fucker guy

    sperm whales hahaha

  • All dolphins are whales, but not all whales are dolphins.

  • Orcas never attack bull sperm whales, only females with their calves.

  • Sperm rofl :DDDDDDD

  • @PwnedNoobz1 Real mature.

  • @BloodTiers If the whole world would be mature, most people would've commited suicide due to boredom.

  • @DeamonRiders this comment makes more sense than anything I have ever read before

  • @DeamonRiders Not if the would be mature

  • @Morr1992 Just because your mature it doesn't mean you can endure boredom forever.

  • @PwnedNoobz1 yeah SOOO funny man, go back to 4th grade.

  • @starwarsnspiderman30

Umm i was sarcastic so i didn't mean to insult anyone.

  • @PwnedNoobz1 sorry yo. i couldn't see you're being sarcastic.

  • @starwarsnspiderman30 That's ok it happens.

  • lmao this is awesome i love Orca's they are so smart and cute and they PWN lol anyway i love dolphins and whales even sharks coz sharks arent just killers u more likely to get struck by lightning then attacked by shark they mistake people for seals not there fault they arent as smart as we are

  • i cant belive orcas havent killedany humans yet!

  • @maidenrocks98

There are records of Orca attacking humans, but animals tends to avoid attacking human for several reasons:

    1. Humans have a large bone to mass ratio, which means we are hard to digest.

    2. Humans, for the relatively small size, are often very well armored (boats, etc) thus not worth the hunting effort.

    3. The MOST important reason is that unlike fishes, humans can very easily put any animal on the menu, so the evolution process tends to eliminate any animal that attack humans.

  • @holyseraph 1.is the same reason sharks dont like eating humans.

  • @maidenrocks98 They have, but only in captivity.

  • @maidenrocks98 they do all the time at seaworld. But, I am of the belief that they just get bored and want to see the humans perform a trick for a treat. Only, their idea of a trick is us holding our breath while underwater.... they win, hands down. :)

  • i know orcas are the wolves of the sea!!

  • @thomasbrown14 more like failed attempts at the cloning of Chuck Norris...

  • It is a bit too sensational...! They just say that male sperm whale bulls are up to 50tons heavy etc., but they hide the fact that these animals are loners. Hence, they are not found in these pods, it's only calves and females, both of which being considerably smaller (around 12metres max.).

A big sperm whale bull of 17metres, armed with teeth the size of T-Rex's and with a powerful jaw of 3 to 4 metres is a different match for orcas and not an easy prey at all!

  • Perfect for pervs like me
