Sometimes, you take extreme measures to attack extreme circumstances. I can't imagine being a parent & learning my child is involved w/gangs. Anxiety and panic would set in my head & I believe that's what happened with the uncle. He wanted better for this boy and maybe he had talked to him before, but got no improvement, so this became the next best option.
